๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Take my review as your sign to go to the tavern immediately! Really appreciated the architecture which stands out in Nairobi. The yellow makes it even better. The food is so tasty; loved my chicken curry and also the alfredo. Cocktails 10/10, service is good and you must sit on the deck. Thats where... People often mention service, good, staff, chicken,

Moorish design, very beautiful. Quiet spot with lovely ambience. Lovely setting at the rooftop especially on a sunny day. Delicious food and drinks. The salads are quite good but very little portions.

My husband and I went to Cafe Chumba and to our delight we discovered that they have expanded and added a bar and restaurant. The bar is chic. We sat upstairs at the roof top lounge, fabulously secluded. The service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend the appetizers...they have a great selection to accompany the cocktails. Must try the flaming Lamborghini!!!!

The Tavern is pleasing to the eye, easily among the best space utilisation I have come across in the city. The Arabian aesthetic and architecture is a sight to behold. Superb views here. The service and the food kinda and I hate to say it, is where they drop the ball. Slow service and maybe the staff need a little bit more training on the service, presentation and knowledge on the menu. The food is decent, that's all I can say. Not outstanding, not bad either. *Might change.

Serene, relaxed atmosphere. You forget you are in Nairobi city. The food was great, I had the pork ribs and I highly recommend. The service felt slow although that may have been because the food is freshly made. Worth it

The King Post along Raphta Road in Westlands is unique from the grand Swahili-themed entrance to the handcrafted Woodwork. You cannot resist the feeling of being somewhere in an ancient time of history when the Indian Maharajas, the Swahili Wangwanas and the Omani Sultans reigned. This business boutique hotel is a fusion of four architectural cultures from the elaborate Swahili building tradition to the simple Omani square housing and the daring Indian embellishments to a colonial touch of the early twentieth century. Within this elaborate set-up sits The Tavern Grill, a tastefully finished restaurant serving delicious dishes from East Africa and beyond the Indian Ocean. You can enjoy your Calamari, Red Snapper or grilled Tandoori chicken in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The rooftop is spectacular but with Nairobi being as cold as it is, a more enclosed space might do for now.

Tarven is a pleasant surprise to new visitors. I loved the starters we selected crunchy calamari rings on a bed of salad and sweet and sour chicken wings. Happy Hour drinks were generous and well picked. However the meal I selected was dismally disappointing ( Chicken methi curry served with naan) and should not be offered since the chef doesn't know what he is doing. The same applies for the Chicken Kiev was nothing close to the dish. It was dry and had no chicken nor any butter โ˜น๏ธโ˜น๏ธI do not recommend anyone to take the two dishes at the Tarven (Kings Post Rhapta Road)

The Outlook of this place is magnificent! Went in for some burgers, no better way to have it. They could do better with the customer service though. Aside from that perfect place to hang out for dinner and or meetings!

A very serene, cool and calm ambiance with pleasing aesthetics to the eye down to the lighting as well. Perfect for business and romantic dates. I would have tipped the guy who put the playlist ๐ŸŽถ together but I wouldn't really know who ๐Ÿ˜… Great music selection at just the right volume for background music. Of course weekly happy hour offers for cocktails ๐Ÿน (not potent enough IMO) Amazing staff but not always available. Few.

There is deep and rich Swahili aesthetic inside the Tavern, decorated in coastal, naval, organic themes - but also with strong touch of contemporary interior design. It is immediately inviting, warm and cosy. The pub is best experienced early evenings to late. It is unannounced possibly because it is planned so as to retain its privacy, and also because it occupies a smaller space on ground floor level compared to the rest of the hotel (King Post). Fantastic staff and a great variety of drinks available.

The woodwork at this place amazing. Very classy. It createโ€™s a lovely homely ambience. Also, itโ€™s tucked away so the place is so quiet and serene. The food and the cocktails are pretty good too.

Laid back sports bar next to the hotel pool. Excellent food from the restaurant, if at times a bit too salty. It takes some time before the food arrives, but all in all itโ€™s worth the wait.

We dined here as friends and enjoyed their hospitality. I especially love the architecture and design of King's Post. The food was good though the beef patty was too thick hence though well cooked, it lacked the umph of a beef burger. Service was a tad slow too.

We met with friends, getting our orders taken was terrible we arrived at 6 and our order taken at 8. The burgers I ordered for my family they said would take an hour ! My friends and I had steaks took half and hour and when they came were cold! Very poor service and quality.
