The place for the “haves” but not the “have nots”. Located on Mombasa Road, you can access the place from town. The building is a landmark so visitors cannot miss it on the way. The hotel provides a nice view of Mombasa Road traffic and its environs. The prices are extremely high, reflecting on the 5 star ratings of that magnitude. The staff are well groomed, courteous, friendly and inviting. You can enjoy a movie at the imax, just one floor down.

The air-conditioning does not work in the rooms, which are in the sun and therefore heated to 30 degrees. Impossible to sleep in this heat, which for a hotel is quite a shame... and the receptionist barely apologised. The rooms are directly on the motorway so very noisy. The staff is very nice though, which is the only reason I didn't give it only one star...

Great place to stay but it's not close to main city. I got it as free complementary over night stay by Kenya Airways. Thanks to Kenya Airways for wonderful services.

We had a lovely evening in the Panari hotel. Kenya Airways organised our stay in this hotel because they changed our flight, and there was a seventeen hours layover. That is why we ended up in this hotel. The hotel is big, clean, with a security check at the entrance. The room was big, comfortable, and clean. We had 2 bottles of water in the bedroom, tea, coffee, and a kettle and a little fridge. The evening meal was delicious. The breakfast was very good. They had a hot and cold buffet, well presented. It was very nice and tasty indeed. We slept very well. In the morning we had a phone call from the reception to let us know our airport transport had arrived which was good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasant experience

We ended up in this hotel by default and not by design(book with Kenya Airways at your own risk) Kenya Airways delayed a flight by 12 hours and checked us into this hotel. About 15-20 mins from the airport. Very helpfully staff, clean rooms and quiet location. Enjoyed their hot showers, mushroom soup, and expensive drinks in the bar. It was a restful stop and all thanks to Kenya Airways. I finally had my $4 Savanna dry from their very well stocked bar after a week long dry spell in Dubai. One day I will hopefully have Nairobi as my destination

I've been here since Jan 18, 2024. It's a nice place. You'll really enjoy your stay. The bed is comfortable. They serve buffet for breakfast, lunch and supper. Variety of dishes and drinks. The location is very good, you are able to catch your flight on time. The service staff here are very friendly and helpful.

Pretty great hotel within a mall-like complex. The rooms were spacious (we got a suite) and bathroom as well. Sucks that the shower was in the bathtub. Food wasn't the best but wasn't terrible either. Service was great. I would stay here again. It's also convenient to have shops like House of Leather there where you can find great stuff including groceries and toiletries.

For airport users or travelers this is a very great option. Its a highway view hotel with good security and enough space. Specious rooms and cool environments. One can do roadside walk to a nearby petrol station for a coffee and icecream.

Of the places that are available around the airport Panari is probably the best in terms of price and their service. The stuff was supper supportive and their hospitality was great. There is also a Chinese restaurant on the second floor (not sure if it is part of the hotel though)

Feels so nice. Like a boutique hotel I feel obliged to compare to the nearby Boma and Sereni. Its on the same par Super friendly staff. Clean, stylish, peaceful. Beautiful rooms, generous complimentaries, I'm loving the luxuriant bathroom, delicious food and the staff cannot do enough. They are just so helpful and genuinely nice! Will be back soon and often. Have found my regular stop over hotel for JKIA commutes Edit. Going to have to change this. Feeling abused by some of the staff and treated very badly although the hotel are profiting to the tune of 80k from my stay Will reduce down to 3 stars from 5 stars and give a full update and edit later. Let me give them a few more hours to show they can provide actual decent acceptable customer service

Very dissapointed apon arrival my customers were chased away by the Watchman and head security. I will not let this settle my guests are very dissapointed. And we have checked in somewhere else. The Watchman abused my clients. That's not hospitality . I will never let any of my clients ever book with panari hotel .

The staff at the hotel were all really nice, friendly and welcoming. It would have been helpful however to have been informed of the many facilities available in the hotel (such as cinema, tuck shop and swimming pool, although this was quite cold). The room was a great size and nice and clean. We also had a lovely view over the Nairobi National Park which was great! The meals all had good vegetarian options. In the evening, it was also really nice to have someone playing the piano as we enjoyed an evening drink in the bar area.

The Panari Hotel was very nice and convenient if you have a flight out of JKIA. There are numerous food options in the building (Brazilian BBQ, Chinese, a cafe, and buffet) as well as a bar. There is also an ice rink and movie theater in the building. The staff was very great and the hotel is also located just a short cab ride from many points of interest and shopping centers. We stayed two nights and very much enjoyed it.

What would have been a great stay ended up being a very terrible stay simply due to the people hired here who attempted to kidnap me. Initiated By the staff that was in the concierge desk around 9 in the morning on the 24th of Dec 2023. l was visiting Kenya on a world tour and have stayed in several five star hotel , looking at this hotel the exterior looked very ugly and cheaply made so I already knew it was not a 5 star hotel however I primarily chose to stay here because there was an ice skating ring. When I was checking out on the 1st floor I was approached by the staff who asked for a checkout form. I told him I was not informed about any checkout form and I already checked with the reception if I had any outstanding bill and I was cleared. I also asked if he could provide me this required form and he refused telling me to go upstairs. My sister who was also staying in a different room had already checked out 2 hours earlier than me and did not provide any silly pink checkout form. Mind you my Uber is already outside and I have a flight to catch. This physical manual checkout has no purpose. This is coming from someone that runs a hospitality business as well. I do not ask anyone for checkout form because the checkout date is already provided. So basically these people want me to inconvenience myself by going up their extremely slow elevator to collect a checkout form and spend additional money having my Uber wait and inconvenience both myself by risking missing a flight for something that is entirely their fault as clearly they do not inform the guest at checkin that this is a requirement . If he had not seen my luggage how would this idiot even know I am checking out. Anyway the next thing you know this maga leaves his post to inform the security to lock the exit door to prevent me from leaving. Hello that is kidnapping. Livid I went and got the pink slip from the 3rd floor , the receptionist was not even competent enough to even fill out the checkout date which I had to request and gave it to them on the 1st floor. I proceeded to leave the facility but still they had the barricade to prevent the vehicle from leaving. I even got out of the car to walk out and they proceeded to lock the gates. I had submitted the pink slip that was requested but yet here the hoodlums are holding me hostage when I have repeatedly requested to leave . At this point I called the police but I’m already aware the police here is kind of useless which empowers people to do stuff like this. You are very lucky you didn’t encounter a redneck American that would have brought a gun before you remind you that do not kidnap anyone into compliance and a second time for no reason at all.

Gravely outdated. Things are falling apart. Called for plumbing services 2 out of the 4 days I was there due to leaking faucet. No exhaust in bathrooms. Water pressure was however, good. The bathroom floor got wet and I used the stepping towel to dry it. To my surprise, the floor was soo dirty the white towel turned black! The air conditioning was a plus but was finicky. It was either extremely cold, or it did not work at all. It made this noise like water running control through a faucet. The noise was difficult to sleep through. The staff was, however, great.

I had a complementary stay at the hotel due to a delayed flight. The hotel, service, rooms, gym and views of the Nairobi national park make this a very special location. Take binoculars or look for animals in the National Park

Spent my first night in Kenya (surprisingly) in the Panari Hotel in Nairobi. Due to the delay of my airplane (KLM), we missed the connection to Mombasa and were able to stay in this Hotel with some other stranded tourists. Took overall 2hrs to get clarity to which Hotel including the transit from the Airport. We arrived around 2:30 in the night and they even offered us “dinner” at the corner of lobby. I denied due to the short night and the connection flight at 7:30. Service at the reception was very kind and friendly. You also can’t miss the WiFi password. It’s hanging everywhere there on printed papers. My room was on the 5th floor with windows to the Main Street. Very clean and spacious for one (short) night. The bathroom was surprisingly big and I had the handicapped friendly version. After taking a shower I noticed that the water was floating all the way through the bath instead of the drainage directly under the shower. That’s the only reason I am actually not giving 5 stars. Wasn’t able to discover the rest of the hotel and learned later about the ice skating within the building! Maybe something for next time.

Classic and classy hotel. With my short stay at Panari, I found the hotel to be a nice place to stay. Lunch buffet is with huge selection of food and the service is not bad. Although, the staff are a bit tired and overwhelmed by the sheer number of transiting passengers via JKIA.

Handy for the airport, ok value for the place which is a bit tired. I appreciated the late check out option. Wifi speeds were good, and several options in the hotel to eat. Impressive views front the upper floors.

A very nice five star hotel located near the airport and near the CBD next to the national park with nice and friendly staff ready to offer help whenever needed and the variety of foods is just superb. Then the entertainment facilities inside are just at another level and the most interesting one is the ice hockey skating ⛸️ place then the movie theatre the night club one just can't get bored while in Panari and it's building both exterior and interior has a modern touch that makes one feel being in futuristic hotel....

I was searching for a halal restaurant in Nairobi and Panari popped up. However, I do not agree as Panari has pork meals in their menu the last time I was there. Can the management confirm if indeed they serve pork because it will be very unfortunate that Muslims will be feeding their not knowing that pork is served from the same kitchen.

Quite close to the airport which is good, however this isn’t a five start hotel, the room looks dirty, shower curtain is so dirty couldn’t even touch it (it has moulds growing on it) the curtains in the room couldn’t close and the noise from the motorway it’s just wow…this isn’t a five star hotel at all, you can do better..courtesy of Kenyan airlines

The only postive thing I have to say about this hotel is they accepted my room change request when the first room was dirty upon check in. The food is very low quality, the staff has limited authority and no one can answer any questions without speaking to a manager first. The AC didn't work in the room from 5am - 3pm. However mantaince would show up after 3pm to demonstate how the thermostat operates and suddenly there would be cold air....lol The bar service was very frustrating. My group was not allowed to eat food from another restaurant in the common area despite the kitchen's hotel being closed, while we were ordering drinks from the bar. Also the casino advertised on travel websites has been closed for years. There are other options in Nairobi, choose a different place.

I got to watch Dr Strange at Anga cinema and the cinema there is awesome. Please continue having kfc on your offers. We weren't so many inside like around 4 people which was good for me. I don't like crowded places that much so this was a plus. The location however is inaccessible considering you have to have been coming from town to access it that's if you don't have a car. With a car however you are in luck cos you'll just use the Ole serenity route.

The Hotel is incredibly spaceous with welcoming staff members. The experience in the skating rink is something I would recommend anyone to try whenever you're around Mombasa road. Leave alone the amazing delicacy that leaves you craving for more... Definitely a MUST do!!!

The room was very nice, the hotel clean and neat. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped and also very clean. I was only there to sleep and cannot comment on any other features of the hotel. Service only gets three stars for two reasons. The staff were friendly at check in and security. However I had emailed the hotel enquiring about the hotel shuttle service and my email was not answered. At arrival having taken a cab, I was informed they hadn't picked me up because I had not confirmed with them. I pointed out that I had emailed and was not answered and got no apology or explanation, just a simple "Oh." Second reason is the front desk failed to provide my requested wake up call until and hour and eighteen minutes late. Location is okay but seemed farther from the airport than I had expected. It was a nice room but I will not likely return for another stay.

The ambience is very good, and the customer service especially in the restaurant is outstanding. The security at the gate is welcoming and they know their work. Food portions are indeed worth the money. Your menu is of value. Multipurpose Hotel, everything (Spa, Sauna, Indoor pool, shop, cinema, banks, western union, theater and a skating rink) Everything is available under one roof of sorts. The location is also good, very close to the Nairobi National Park, one could easily see animals from the terrace. Food and service was superb.

  • 4/5 David M. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic experience, great staff responses in spite of the challenges presented by impatient customers at the reception desk, the staff remained calm and composed. It was expected that some of the customers who had come from the airport due to either delayed flight arrivals and failure to connect or cancelled flights, were very frustrated and some hadn't slept, they needed to immediately get into the rooms, but this was early morning, with available rooms in checkout and cleaning in progress. Some customers kept heckling the supervisor of the team as she trained to calm down the situation, that lady has my great respect, she was able to hold on to her professional etiquette, enough respect. The food is excellent, with great variety, excellent chefs and waiters, thanks for the great soups and wonderful atmosphere in the dining. A few dents though, was when a spill of some fruit juice was left to go on without mopping up the floor. So people continued to step on the sticky juice, and as they moved right round the dining, every square inch one stepped on was sticky. No action was taken to quickly clean up the place, even when the meal times moved to the next, the floors still remained not properly cleaned. This is a huge risk in terms of safety coz it might result in a customer sliding and falling with possible injuries. The rooms were excellent, very clean and comfortable. There is however an irritating noise coming from the bathroom, from something that looks like a rotating fan, whatever that is, I'm sure it has a purpose, I just wish the system can be updated with something that is less noisy. Overall, Panari is an excellent destination which offers top of the range services, great food and super squeaky clean, well aerated rooms, clean nice smelling bed linen and well freshed bathroom towels, a real great experience , I recommend Panari unreservedly to all who come into Nairobi to experience this hospitable place, with spectacular views from the bedrooms.

Great hotel near the airport. The facilities are good and clean. The breakfast was very good quality, and the staff is polite and welcoming as seems to be the rule in Kenya. If booking a deluxe room, transfer to the airport is complimentary. It only takes 10-15 minutes. There are rooms with view over Nairobi national park, you probably won't see an abundance of animals as this is the are next to the road, but it's a nice touch nonetheless 🙂
