The person at the store, who is also the tour guide for the bathhouse, was incredibly rude. When we asked him about the tour, he first said we had to buy something from his store. We didn't want to buy, so we asked if we could just pay for a tour. He said it was 120nis for two people. We thought this was rather expensive, and walked outside to discuss our options. Eventually we went back to the store and asked for a tour, and the guide flatly refused.

120 shekel guided tour and an incredibly unfriendy orthodox looking guy at the entrance. Nothing much to see in the shop, except for the guy who doesn't want to see you. Thanks and good-bye.

Terrible experience. The owner is so rude. He told us that the price for the tour is 120 shekels. We thought about that for a few minutes, and agreed. Then he refused to give us the tour

We discovered this gem of great historical importance by chance. What a fascinating experience! The Ancient Bath House of Nazareth was discovered in the late 1990s by Elias and Martina Shama during renovations inside their shop near Mary's Well in Nazareth. Archaeologists that examined the bath house have assigned its construction to various periods, the oldest of these being the Greek or Roman period in Palestine. Of particular importance is that it is likely that Jesus Christ and his mother, Mary, visited this bathouse.

Elias is an amazing man of God! My wife and I had the privilege of learning about this man and his story ahead of this incredible tour. Our trip became all the more meaningful. This tour was of his discovery of this ancient architecture buried under his shop ! He later connects the architecture to the time period Jesus lived in ! Elias described to us the dating techniques and elements of this bath house in such detail. It was so fascinating to discover that we were sitting in the coal room . This coal room that fed the heat to the bathhouse that Jesus enjoyed with his fellow Nazarenes for many years! Tasty Dates and coffee served during the tour. My only regret is that I didn’t keep the cup I drank out of as a keepsake of that valuable moment of our trip. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” - Matthew 18:20 I couldn’t help but feel encouraged after this tour. The Presence of God was felt on our trip to Israel. Especially in Nazarene, in this really unique setting that we imagine God enjoyed with his creation while he dwelled with us on this earth !

Truly a must! What an incredibly special experience getting to hear about the discovery process of the bathhouse from Elias. It is impossible not to feel his passion and the site itself is very impressive along with the amazing hospitality. Thank you for such an exceptional experience! Current pricing is 120ils total for 1 to 4 people, or 28 per for 5+ people. Completely worth it!!

I was very pleasantly surprised We filmed an article about Nazareth as part of a social video blog (for no profit), in all places we were respected and we really felt the brotherhood of the city. At the time we did a tour of the place for a reasonable fee of about 30 NIS per person. Now, the owner of the house asked me 200 dollars for the possibility to photograph the place. In short - a place for the rich only. do not recommend

Not sure what the point is. Various overpriced replicas, crucifixes, junky textiles...and a really creepy owner who wasn't particularly polite.

Went this morning, asked the guy there about the tour, and got a blank dismissive face. I was gonna buy something, but decided on stepping out. Such a shame to have rudeness in-charged of a historical site.
