Top class property. Spacious rooms and super-courteous staff willing to meet any of the guests requirements as far as possible. Well maintained spaces and great access to the beach. The food was great (albeit quite expensive). A couple of points that they could improve: 1. Breakfast buffet crowd management - during peak times, they should manage crowds and maintain a queue system better. What we observed was that some people tend to overpower the staff and gain entry while others already waiting for a table are left in the lurch. 2. Lifeguards on the beach - there were no lifeguards on the beach. Only a solitary security person. While the beach appeared safe enough, the presence of lifeguards would be an added level of confidence in the guests.

Intercontinental was a very nice and luxurious stay the service and staff were very friendly but the only thing that I didn't like was start the beach wasn't very accessible which was the main reason why we picked to stay at a beach resort but over all experience was really good. A special thanks to the restaurant, as they also provided items that were not there in the menu too. Very delicious food!

A very good resort. Huge property. Awesome lunch buffet. Only down side is the center artificial water body which is not planned well and not maintained. It could have been a good place for flowering plants and lawn which might actually uplift the looks of the barren view of the granite cladded walls.

This a very good hotel with excellent service. We stayed here for vacation. The food at the restaurants were great. The breakfast buffet spread was very good and quality of food was also great. My wife hurt her back and the hotel went above and beyond in getting her a heat pack. The staff were proactively checking on us to make sure our stay was fine and if they could do anything else to serve us better. We will definitely come back! The beach is clean, nice and secluded. The swimming pool is very well maintained.

I had an excellent stay at the resort. I did a Jet lag massage at the SPA, and it was one of the best and exhilarating experience. The therapist Seema was very professional and courteous. She knew what she was doing and provided a great experience. The place was very clean and hygienic and all the staff are very welcoming. Definitely a nice place to stay for a short getaway from the city life.

5 star for their hospitality! Right from the time you enter the resort till you step out, the staffs go out of their way to take care of their guests. In-room dining was also great with good quantity. Beach access is the best part - took our 7-month old daughter and she enjoyed her stay. Indeed she slept very well (all new mommies can relate to this) in the cozy bed and loved looking at the huge courtyard. Lavish breakfast. Overall we had a lovely vacation and would definitely visit again. Thank you team!

Unfortunately the experience was very bad. We were said they had a dinner Christmas gala night . We traveled with an infant so we decided to stay back. The booking was very time consuming and expensive. The rooms had no soap, towels or bathrobes. For the price u pay the service should be good. Unfortunately we had to call for every little thing. Then came the suprise...the Christmas dinner gala..there was none..the food was just average yet very expensive. Felt cheated and very disappointed. One point for their breakfast buffet. Eventhough the staff very quite unpolite and refused baby food, the chef came out and gave apple puree for my little one..thanks to him. Then when we went to pool all the pool chairs were wet and when we asked for towels they said they had no fresh ones and are washing. Not kids friendly in general though.

A little bit away from the city but a good property. Designed primarily for marriage events etc, it’s vice of a happening resort is missing. Great design, lovely open spaces, beautiful beach restaurants are a big plus of Thai property.

Loved every bit of our stay over here. Right from the warm welcome offered by Mr Suresh(from UK :D) to every other aspect of our stay at this property, the hospitality was top-notch. The room was very clean and just as shown in the pictures. There's a buggy to the beach for the folks who find it challenging to walk. The pool is nice and large. A special mention to the staff at the Melting pot restaurant especially Mr Rajath.

My mom and I had a great stay at Intercontinental. The hotel has such a peaceful vibe and it's great to just walk around in the corridors, chill by pool or walk to the beach. I'd like to specifically thank Altaf, the staff at the restaurant, for taking extraordinary care of my mother who is a senior citizen. I would definitely be returning there very soon.

Difficult to identity the property due to absence of large name board or sign 2. Little light in front of the property and inside as well. Just pathways are illuminated. Struggled to take selfies 3. Old Style Flooring, Broken tiles inside the restaurant 4. Less number of cuisines/items available in the buffet The positive is Staff they will be behind you to serve

The service was excellent and the best part of the place. Food was mostly good except for a few dishes. Location and place is maintained neatly except the ponds which I personally felt could have been better maintained.

I'm simply in love with this property. Hospitality, quality of food and the property itself were way beyond expectations. We really enjoyed our stay here from 15-Nov-2022 to 17-Nov-2022 and really appreciate the staff here. This was my 1st ever staying experience with IHG and I'm personally so much impressed with Holiday Inn Chennai and IHG Mahabalipuram that I might not prefer staying with any other group.

Quite calm near seashore with Chinese restaurant. Other Indian items with delicious Taste. Neatness politeness courteous service are prime here.

Mixed experience for a five star. What’s good - Rooms. Breakfast. Service and reception. Pool. What’s not - property itself needs better maintenance, especially the ponds. Beachside restaurant should also be maintained better and spread out more. Tables are packed together, loud music and no non-smoking section all mean you don’t get a relaxing evening by the beach. Would have given a 3 but the service is really quite good, from the reception to everywhere.

Excellent ambiance and extremely good food. Courteous staffs and highly clean environment. We tried the melting pot restaurant and menu price was reasonable. The resort has children play area and recreational area. Mini bar present in the beach side. Swimming pool depth is of 4 feet.

Beach side resto bar is cool but they has to play music a little loud. It’s an open place on the beach and music can be hardly heard. 6. There are no music channels in room TV . If u add a couple of music channels will be appreciated.

Really beautiful place. Amazingly lit in the evenings. We went to their The melting pot. Buffet was huge and included pastas and North Indian bread with it. All together a nice and pleasant experience. Would recommend this place for nice family dinner.

Had a wonderful experience. Service was excellent. Staffs are very friendly and extremely helpful. Game room has separate set up for kids. Very helpful who being kids, especially toddlers. Located on the ECR. Has a private beach with Shacks and table arrangements.

We had booked this place specially because we wanted direct access to beach and this did not disappoint us at all. The beach is very clean with shacks and restaurant. The rooms are very clean and comes with well equipped amenities. The buffet breakfast served is worth of all praises we had read. Overall a very good stay.

We booked a day package at Intercontinental for our wedding anniversary. The rooms were extremely good with great facilities and services. I have provided two stars only because of the Service at Melting Pot. Since it was a Monday with no crowd, we were provided with a set lunch as part of the package, however, the members at melting pot were keen on ensuring we dont order much and were also seen cooking without any interest that was clearly evident. We also received suggestions on what would be too much if we order instead of ensuring that we feel satisfied as we do pay a huge amount including food. If you do not wish to cook and serve just two people in the restaurant, It would be great if you can stop offering buffet or set lunch during weekdays and on days when the crowd is less. We were unhappy with the treatment and service given at melting pot.

Excellent infrastructure and interior designing. The staff's hospitality was top notch. They have huge swimming space and a sit out area overviewing a lotus pond. The beach view is great for relaxing and spending quality time with kids. The gardens are very neat and clean and well-maintained. The cost of pay varies based on type of room and number of days we stay. The staff are kind enough to walk us through the details. They have a huge parking space with valet parking. Overall experience was great.

We stayed there for a night and the entire experience was wonderful. My kid thoroughly enjoyed the play area, swimming pool and private beach. Rooms were clean and the spacious bathtub was the highlight. We tried Tao of Peng restaurant and the taste was authentic Chinese. Breakfast spread at Melting Pot was too good. Service was prompt and quick. The chefs were really accommodating and took care of preparing kid's meal as well.

We got to hotel super early, as a IHG Spire elite member I can do early check in, but they were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 11am itself and I didn’t wanna wait a single minute itself. Rooms were clean, very comfortable, and all the staffs were amazing which starts from front end guy Raja, Manager at Reception, Manager, and staffs at both the Indian & Chinese Restaurant. The service was exceptional as well. Received the complimentary birthday cake in advance @ 11 pm. Had a great time with family at swimming pool and beach. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to us.

As a guy who loves smoking in the room I can't give it more than 1 star. Because all the rooms are non smoking. But otherwise the property is very beautifully made. The rooms are huge & the food was amazing too. It's in Mahabalipuram so the property has access to the beach.
