I really dont understand why the reviews are so high. it's gotta be family and friends. Small town I guess. No other Chinese options around and a city full of mainly white people don't know real Chinese food. Bland simple "western" style Chinese. City food court Chinese is better than this. Club sandwich was super dry as well.

Save your money. I'm not a very critical person, but the sauce on the honey garlic pork was congealed and kind of like slime. The Cantonese chow mein was okay but noodles not crispy at all and barely cooked. Almost $50 for two dishes and a glass of wine, it might have been the day but not busy when we came in and food was pretty terrible unfortunately.

Good food. Gluten free options are limited. I had beef n broccoli with rice. Was good but lacked the Chinese charm. Clean place. Little understanding regarding allergens.

We have been to Amanda's a few times because it gets good reviews. It was bad. Went again must have been a bad day. It was bad. Went because my friends wanted to it was terrible. Our Guests ordered take out unbeknownst to us even the dogs turned it down. Sorry to diss a small business but it's to expensive to order food that no one can eat. In a city of great food go elsewhere.

Got take out here this summer as I’d heard good things since moving here. It was flavourless and bland. Very uneventful and not worth the money unfortunately. We later found out that Our friend ordered out the same night and she had the same experience.

I normally do not prepare really bad reviews, so this is an exception. We were so disappointed at the lack of flavor normally in Chinese food. The chow mein did not have the bed of crisp noodles that was advertised, and the chop suey was tasteless. The beef was very tender. Such a shame! Nelson needs a really authentic Chinese restaurant.

We LOVE Amanda's! It's our son's favourite restaurant ever since he was 2! It's definitely our go to restaurant in Nelson. We always leave there feeling full and extremely satisfied. Every dish that they make is delicious. Whether you're ordering to go or dining in, you will not be disappointed. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. Looking forward to our next meal!

Consistently good food every time , not a fancy place , a bit dated interior-- But if you want a clean well run restaurant with well cooked and hot food brought to your table -- you would not be disappointed with eating here. Very good chinese food options and menu selection.

There was alot of different things on the menu but I ordered the chicken chowmain and it was very delicious 😋and I had my dad's cream of broccoli soup cause he doesn't like broccoli lol but will be back soon❤🥰😇

Ordered because it was 4.5 stars …. Literally the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had….slimey, bland over all disgusting ….. such a waste of money … I am not one to write bad reviews and have never written a bad review on food before but this was so bad it was inedible….. would not recommend…
