Recommend and extremely disappointed. After 1hr15min and getting excuses food arrived. Butter not melting on baked potato, vegetables cold and being generous to say the pepper steak had some warmth. All three streaks over cooked and 2 did not resemble what was expected. Saw other people, who arrived after us, get meals and leave before our meal was served. After expressing disappointment with waiter, left food on table a walked out.

Went for my birthday dinner and did not disappoint. All the food from start to finish was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The Prime Shires yorkshire puddings were crisp on the outside and nice and soft on the interior, the prime rib was well seasoned and the au jus was almost a gravy consistency. The Ribeye (blackened) was cooked to perfection and well seasoned with a nice crust. I added the garlic prawns and they were very good as well making it a poor man's surf and turf, you do have an option to add lobster. I decided to try the Mac and Cheese and it was some of the best I've ever had I think there was a bit of lobster or crab in it which was a pleasant surprise and it came with garlic toast. To finish it all off I had the keylime pie which is not overly sweet but just right to let the lime have the spotlight, since it was for my birthday they did cover the cost of dessert which was great of them because I didn't ask for it to be covered so that was a nice surprise. Overall if you feel like splurging a bit for dinner you can't go wrong with Louie's, they have a great selection of food and drinks to fit every palate.

Always my favourite spot in town for an extra special occasion. I have never been disappointed!

We had a whiskey sour and London ash, both lacked flavour. We shared a mushroom truffle risotto, lacked richness that you usually have with a risotto. Our mains were Tuscan linguine and again it was subpar. Unfortunately this would not be a restaurant we would go back to. Heard other quests say their meals were delicious, maybe we just ordered the wrong items.

The New York steak was good.

Our server was excellent..nice young lady fro. The UK. She was on it.. food was absolutely delicious and all timed well, came out at the same time and no hot plates. Good skills in the kitchen. Good staff up front.. not sure im into the concrete wall but if thats all I can complain about, shes a two thumbs up from this guy.

Dinner was amazing, service was top notch. Really nice atmosphere. You have to try the key lime pie! It was SO GOOD

Food was great. Our waitress was wonderful. Unfortunately we were entertained by the mice running around in the dining room. They definitely need to bring in an exterminator.

Ordered the filet mignon on the menu and came out cold. When the food was returned our original waitress did not come back and had a new waitress. Not a fan will not go back. Food was overpriced for what you get.

Haven't had food this good in months maybe even years down in the states. Have had problems with cheap and expensive restaurants every time I dine out. Here two nights in a row were perfect and went above our expectations. 3 meals both nights, perfect quality, steak was done to our request, amazing taste, one of the best steaks I've ever had. Mashed potatoes, even though it's a simple dish, were amazing, also some of the best I've ever had easily topping all other places. Servers and who I suspect to be a manager or maybe even the owner were awesome, very friendly, didn't miss a single thing at all both nights. I'm not usually up for talking while eating, but both nights we had great conversations. Overall everything was amazing, not a single complaint, props to the small town steakhouse! Was not expecting such amazing service and food when we can't even get a decent meal in our big city!

Witnessed someone dine and dash while here.. can see why over priced food. Lobster dinner was a complete joke looked like a piece of shrimp for 45 dollars can’t believe I was served that

Visited Louie's Steakhouse & Lounge for the 1st time for our 29th Wedding Anniversary dinner. Wow!!!! Zack our server was terrific!!! We ordered the Lobster dinner for the both of us. The Nova Scotia lobster was DELICIOUS!!! Our whole dinner and experience was magnificent!!! 5 STARS!!!!

Food was fabulous and server was pleasant and kind and very helpful! Took his time so we didn’t feel rushed and really enjoyed our dinner ! We would definitely go back again on our next visit to Nelson BC

When first entering this establishment, we received a very warm welcome from the Manager and our server. We went on to have a fabulous meal of filet mignon; topped off with key lime pie dessert which was delicious. If you want a dining experience, this is the place in Nelson!

Their catering services for weddings is amazing they always have the right amount of food and show the guest a really good time. If your having a wedding they will set the tables for you. Not to mention their in house dining is delicious and well received! Bravo

Tonight a friend a I dined at Louie’s Steakhouse. My friend had steak and Lobster and I had the ribs. It was an amazing meal everything was cooked to perfection ❤️. Our server was such a great server which made our experience even better. Even being full we had desert which they were succulent. We walked out very satisfied. Thank you Robert for all you did. We will be back for sure. Thank again

Had an absolutely wonderful dinner when we were here. Came from out of town and treated ourselves. Our server was wonderful - I’m sorry i don’t remember her name but she had short let red hair. I would come back here again next time we visit Nelson. Also, the Mac and cheese was amazing! ** update: we came here about a year later and brought friends and it was fantastic. They loved it as well! A pricier meal but well worth it for a good steak dinner.

Very nice burger char!! The bun was an interesting choice - really nice start, but was possibly too heavy for a whole burger. Quiet atmosphere.

A steak cooked as you want in a silent place and with incredible plates. The waiters are kind and help as much as posible.

The food is phenomenal. Prompt and courteous service with a staff that is very accommodating with special non-alcoholic drink requests.

Really great menu with high quality ingredients. Great setting, looking out at the mountains and water. Ambiance was perfect - music perfectly set - able to converse easily yet privately at our table. Servers were attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Great evening from start to finish...a hidden gem to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Louie's was a nice comfortable restaurant with greatvservice, lots of options on the menu, very reasonable prices for drinks. Our food was great, its a nice place for date night.

This is my absolute favourite restaurant in Nelson, surprisingly enough! Their menu is delicious, service is awesome, cocktails are grand! I started eating meat during COVID and I have fallen in love with their steak. The filet mignon is always spectacular and on point. (Try the sandwich version, it's to die for!) I have spend COVID times and my lack of travel trying every restaurant in the Kootenays and this is the one I keep going back to! I will update my review with photos the next time I go, but I highly recommend this place. A++++ will be back soon!!!
