Worst A&W we’ve ever eaten at. Slow service as only 2 people working. Often out of items (ie: onion rings). No hygiene as handling cash and food. Person at counter moves slow and turns back for 6 min at a time ignoring people in line up. Took 20 min to get order even though we were 2nd in line. First time this happened we thought it was an off day. Tables dirty. Second chance and service was worse. We recommend the drive thru location as a much better experience. This one needs new owner/manager.

What i witnessed at this location was deplorable. A manager with blonde hair side shaved showed up and slammed cups and lids on the counter and demanded to speak to a specific employee. She was very degrading, demeaning and rude towards the employee. In a raised voice was unbelievably rude in her delivery and was obviously oblivious to myself and the 2 other customers in the line. The employee did her very best to diffuse the situation and try to explain what had happened and then asked the manager to do it in order to show how it be done correctly. The manager barked back staying "it is below my pay grid" and left abruptly. If that employee who was being publicly scolded was my daughter she would have walked off of the job. There clearly needs to be some empowerment training at this location. That being said my order was hot, accurate and handed to me with a smile. Unfortunately. The incident i witnessed made it less than a 1 star experience. I am willing to discuss this further to protect employees from this type of treatment. A&W is a restaraunt from my childhood that created a lot of fond memories. It should be the same for every customer AND the employees.

I swear this location is closed more days then its open. How do we have 2 A&W's yet they both run at 50%. Let get a more stable business in the mall and condense the 2 wasting away locations.

Why is this location randomly closed for no reason when it’s supposed to be open. Tired of driving out of my way to find, surprise! You’ve wasted your time and gas.

The only real reason I go to A&W anymore is to grab some onion rings. Two out of the last 3 times I’ve gone they didn’t even have any. The time they had them they were alright, but nothing compared to the size and crisp you used to have back in the day.

My first A&W here, I asked for something on the menu with substitutions and they were happy to accommodate. The wait was quite quick. The food quality was mixed, the sausage and patty was good but the bacon was quite greasy, dripping with grease every time I lifted my food. I’m not too sure if that’s a common thing with A&W, but overall I had a good experience and the food was tasty. I would visit an A&W again to try their non breakfast menu.

Terrible service consistently . Find clumps of hair in food there on the regular and will be treated poorly by not only staff but also management when issues are addressed . Do not eat at this location .

I ate a spicy herbenaro burger which was not that spicy but yeah it was good in taste.The service is nice , Ankush at the counter was very sweet with taking orders and everything.

I loved going there for milkshakes, they were really good & not too expensive. But recently I went for one only to find out that they no longer have a milkshake machine. I hope they get a new one!

Two cashier capacity, uncertain back end staff number. Good place for morning coffee I've heard. I do not drink coffee. Expected A&W quality of food, wait times will vary.

I wish I could give zero stars if I could, went here last night with my partner and now we both have food poisoning, the tables were all sticky and disgusting so we took our food to go instead of eating in like we originally wanted, staff don't seem to be interested in the hospitality part of their jobs either....

bought a bacon and egger for breakfast and was extremely disappointed. two people who ordered after me received their food before me. once i got my food the english muffin was burnt. the bacon was burnt as well. took two bites and had to throw it out because it tasted horrible. wont be getting breakfast there again.

Overflown garbage bins, yucky tables,No decaf coffee (not bothered when suggested for next time), very poor service. Food - just had regular coffee which was ok.

Went for quick lunch had Double Teen burger fries root beer. It was okay quality has gone down and prices have gone up a lot. No such thing as a cheap lunch at a fast food restaurant. Staff was kinda rude no one at the counter. I almost left. Poor service. Got coupons in the mail not sure if I will use them. I spent 1600 dollars. I may as well go to a full service restaurant at the new prices. We need a MacDonalds and Burger King in Nelson.

A&W Canada is the best of fast food joints in Canada. The staff at the Nelson franchise provide great service.

It's your standard A&W with what you would expect food wise, though it's often hit and miss as to the quality of the food. Sometimes the chicken is great other days it tastes freezer burnt and somewhat skunky. The restraunt itself is clean and well kept with an open concept the drive through is a little narrow and if backed up can clig the parking lot and even the road. It has free WiFi for those who likevto check their email while munching on a papa burger Its tucked out of the way at the far end of baker street and should not be confused with the one in the mall which has non of the above mentioned amenities.

Food is awesome i love it but the servers were horrible, asking with bad voice and giving food without even bother looking at customers eyes or saying anything ... like just throwing and I was only the customer not even busy..?

Apparently a burger patty takes more than 15 minutes to cook. Interestingly enough I've cooked frozen patties that hav e never taken anywhere near 15 minutes to cook. If this is not a service you are able to provide....take the sign down. The 3 people behind me also wanted burgers. Very unhappy.
