Quite a difference between Vernon and Trail and I like Trail better.

I've had horrible experiences there. They've messed my order up 4 times, the last 4 times that I've gone there actually, they can't take an order properly When I ask for a BLT and I get a freaking chicken burger that's a big screw up, Also ask for cheese there is no bake and no tomato no cheese on my burger, they can't get anything right. Some of the staff are incredibly rude.

If I could rate zero stars I would. Hours are completely incorrect I came here at 9:40pm and you were closed when you said you should be open. I don't care what kind of food place you are. You dont lie about your hours

So, I'm only rating this as compared to other A&W restaurants, and so it's not great. The fries are regularly cold; there seem to be staffing problems, so sometimes it isn't open; and it's more expensive than any other A&W I've been to recently.

They almost always get the extra sauce on my burger right which is nice. They almost always forget something or get the order wrong. They do give the missed item free if they didn't charge for it which is nice. Usually they don't include ketchup. Lots of room for improvement but they generally are nice and easily willing to fix any mistakes. I don't go often as I'm not a junk food fan but once in a while when I just need quick food it does hit the spot.

Staff doesn't seemed to have increased or decreased in yrs aside from the Covid time but you still can't go in the dining area. It's drive-thru only

A&W is always insane, I absolutely love it here, always friendly and the food is fantastic

As shown in other posts this A and W is not interested in customer service. Drive thru no thank you or connection at all. “Manager” more interested in a defensive position than offering an apology. Interesting approach to a customer driven business. Our choice will not be this A and W given the many great options in town.

Food was amazing! Person running front counter was not. Had a rude tone and looked extremely annoyed at every question or request I had. Started off with “what do you want take out or dine” (in an annoyed tone). Asked for a water cup after our food was delivered. And gave me a look of disgust.

Purchased coffee since nothing else was around. It was surprisingly good coffee. I'd say it's better than tim Hortons.

No ice for fountain drinks, very strange, and the menu does not display all available items.

We visited this place three times during our stay in Nelson. I did not have a good experience with the manager and one of the staff members. On our second visit, the manager did not have time to listen to my complaint about flies in the restaurant. On the third visit, while placing an order at the drive-thru, a staff member did not have the patience to take and review my order, and even scolded me for that reason. They should be more customer-oriented.

its 20mins in the drive through every time, front doors always locked because "they are always hiring" maybe decent wage would help fix this problem that has been going on for 6months plus. honesty would save money going to an actual diner and sitting inside eating real food

Perfect place to grab second-breakfast on the way to the ski hill or bike camp. Friendly staff, decent food for fast food but I haven't tried everything. Breakfast wraps and plain burgers are our family's go-tos.

Got sick after eating today, never again going here. It good to spend a little extra money else where rather than this place

I am the only guy was in the drive through still acting like they are very busy and can’t even ask them about anything that they’re getting angry about it and shouting about it. Worst place I have ever seen.

A&W should stand for awful & worthless. It's always a waste of money and they usually get part of the order wrong and when it's not it's cold and old food. There's also no reason this town needs 2 of them because what could be worse than having 1... well having 2. Also they're still closed for dine in and the drive thru is designed in such a way the line often ends up in the road creating a traffic hazard.

The dine in service is still closed. Castlegar figured out how to open their inside dining area months ago. Perhaps we should boycott this location until they get their act together and figure out how to open. But if we keep lining up at the drive though, they’ll never have enough motivation to open the dining area again.

Food is good, still staffs need to training for hospitality.

One of the worst for service in western Canada in my experience. I recommend going to Ashmans Smashburger up the road if you want a hamburger. for anything else, go elsewhere or go without. My order gets messed up almost every time, staff hardly acknowledge your existence, never seem to get napkins or things my order requires

You can't beat the Bacon & Egger for a quick and easy breakfast. No other place in Nelson has that at any reasonable price and time. NONE. That's why Nelson keeps a few fastfood chains alive. The reasoning is masked behind health but its glaringly obvious what Nelson is reluctant to establish locally and that's cheap food of any kind to support the morning commuter.

Arrived to locked doors... not enough Staff to open. Drive Through Only. Kinda difficult to place your order on foot in a drive through. lol. I had a Quarter Pounder with cheese.. It was horrible. Bun looked same size, but everything else inside was smaller.. It was dry and overcooked. Is it only this A & W, or have they all gone bad?

They’ve had the dinning room closed, drive though only, for months now due to ‘staff shortages apparently. If all the other a&w managers can handle recruitment why can’t these guys. I think a&w should give whoever’s running nelson branch a good kick up the back side, or cut them loose and get new management. As these guys are clearly failing badly. Or just too lazy to sort the problem.

Absolutely pathetic service. The employees obviously dont care in the least. The burger patties are slightly " greyed" rather than grilled until browned. So dissatisfied. I love my Teenburgers but they just taste like dead animal.

Ordered breakfast sandwiches for dinner, they said it would be an extra 5 min, all good. Ordered pies, and extra 3 min, also all good. Parked around the building to wait for the food. 20 minutes later the order came out..... Whatever, was starved and wanted breakfast sandwiches and pies 🥰. Hopefully it doesn't always happen that way.

🫤 I gave this a 2 instead of 5 for dinner only because we were told that we had to vacate our table after having dinner and drinks as the table was reserved for another group. This was only after being seated for 90 minutes. A 90 minute turnover is unreasonable...if the table had a limited sitting t...

😐 A unique shopping experience with a good selection of goods. But bring lots of $$$ as it's easily the most expensive grocery store in the area. Lots of overpriced merchandise for those with piles of disposable income.
