I felt like I went to food trip to Japan shortly. It was incredibly good! All foods are really authentic. The restaurant is very cozy and definitely good for a dating place as well. You must book the table in advance. It's pricy but worthy it to try for special day😊

This restaurant is really small and busy. Food tastes fantastic, fresh and delicious. The price is reasonable for the food's quality

This tiny, unassuming restaurant is home to some of the finest Japanese cuisine that Frankfurt has to offer. Their fish is fresh and delicious, and the sushi rice is perfect. Tempura is wonderfully crisp and tasty as well. The waitstaff are polite and friendly. They serve a truly excellent lunch menu, with amazing tempura and sashimi sets.

Amazing authentic Japanese food, prepared the traditional way just like I used to eat at my Japanese great-grandparents' home. They don't bend the menu to satisfy the German taste, so you can find genuine food like nattō. An absolute delight.

*****So The Verdict***** The Place: Its a small but Cozy Japanese Restaurant. kinda like Izakaya Style. The Atmosphere is very Japanese 👍 Scale of 1:1 from Japan The Food: Ordere some Appetizers and Set Menu. The Oyster appetizer is good. Oyster is not from Frozen section of Supermarket at all. The Shisamo Fish is also good. I tasted the Chicken Yakitori and it is also very japanese Recipe. Not the typical imbiss microwave oven baked one, it is authentic. I tasted their Sushi platter. its a genuine one 👍 Salmon and Tuna just melts in your mouth. The Fatty Tuna sushi is very fresh! The Unagi is fantastic! Grade A Unagi is used for sure since from the taste and bite quality is absolutely amazingly good. The Grilled Salmon with Teriyaki sauce is also something this house is good at. Very recommendable The People: Run by Japanese staff and Sushi Chef so everything here is authentic 👍 The Price: It is on the reasonable side I would say. For the Quality and Quantity I recieved, it is practically in a good price race. Over all Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very fresh ingredients. Service was good. The shop itself was a bit old though.

Best traditional Japanese cuisine restaurant in Germany! Only traditional Sushi. No frills. Very close to the art of Sushi in Japan. Sushi made of the freshest ingredients you can possibly find. I am absolutely impressed by this restaurant. I always thought, it isn’t possible to get that close to the level of Sushi in Japan. But this restaurant proofed it with finesse and fresh ingredients. An absolute must go!

Small Japanese restaurant, the sashimi was amazing, the maki too. I've tried the classic California Roll and a simple Avocado Roll. Everything was tasty! Yep!

Absolutely amazing place! Great sushi, reasonably priced. Small place, so a reservation is advisable.

Very small place with limited seating, but you don't come here for the atmosphere or social aspect, you come here for the food ... And the food really is top notch. I love sushi, and I've been to more sushi restaurants than I can count or recall. Predominantly what differentiates between them is the selection, but when you go to a place where something as simple as a nigiri or sashimi tastes superior, you know you've found one of the top 5% of sushi restaurants that are on par with the quality of sushi you find in Japan. Iwase is in that category.

This is a must for everyone who likes Japanese food. When you pass the restaurant watch out you don’t miss it! It’s so tiny 😉 The food is authentic and yummy. The moment you enter the room (there’s only one), you’ll notice a irresistible smell 😋 When we were here (on a Saturday around 1PM) it was crowded but we were lucky to get a table. But don’t worry. Just wait outside. It’s worth it.

Rustic Japanese restaurant. Amazing and reasonably priced teishoku style lunch. Some of the best sushi and sashimi I‘ve ever had in Germany. Fish is very fresh

It's a nice and cosy place, which is max. for 20 people, therefore you definetly have to make reservations! I recommend you to try the sushi's and the Teriyaki soused Salmon. The place is near to the city center and easy to reach by foot. If you wanna come by car; it does not have its own parking place, but there are some parking garages nearby.

Tempura like in Kaminari-Mon, nice Japanese food! Place and desk are a bit small, but the food are great! Will come back!

The staff were very kind to fit us in between bookings even though they were fully booked on a busy Saturday night. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and prompt. Many of the customers were Japanese which I always think is a great sign in terms of authentic food. Definitely worth a visit!

One of the best Japanese restaurant I found in Frankfurt. Very good authentic Japanese food. Prices are a little bit above average but having paid less money for worse quality somewhere else, I think this one is definitely worth it! Be aware that they don’t do reservations on Saturday and you can only pay with either cash or credit card (above 30 EUR)
