Great food and atmosphere! My friend made our reservations and included that it was for our engagement so they brought us free appetizers to try and also free dessert samplers. That was really nice of them to do that. I got salmon and the sauce that came with it was so tasty! We got BBQ shrimp for our appetizer and the BBQ sauce was very different than what we are used to but really good! Would definitely return!

One of the most enjoyable dinner experiences I've ever had. Every detail was taken into account and the flavors and execution were spot on. I had the salmon main course, it was cooked to perfect medium rare. The sausage and collard greens side dish was hands down the best collard greens I've ever tasted, not even a hint of bitter and very balanced sauce. To finish the meal off I had the banana cream pie and it was excellent. This is definitely one place to go out of your way to get a reservation at, they were packed and even our reservation needed to wait a few minutes extra for our seats to become available.

It was our last night in NOLA + had reservations for Emeril’s (booked a couple weeks in advance). WOW. The service: exactly what one would (or should) expect in a highly regarded restaurant. Our primary server, Chris, was amazing — friendly, knowledgeable, attentive + just all around southern hospitality. The servers working with him were just as amazing. The food: wow wow wow! We opted for oysters + a main from the dinner menu (not the tasting menu). The opening and closing dishes, compliments of the chef, are always an incredible treat. Make sure you make this restaurant a stop on your NOLA trip (and reserve ahead of time!) worth every moment here + the perfect way to end our tip! (And best banana cream pie ever)

The revamped menu is absolutely incredible. We did the seasonal tasting menu and were blown away by both the quality and presentation. EJ is doing something really special here. The service was above and beyond. It was no doubt one of the best dining experiences we have had in New Orleans. 10/10 across the board.

A Punch to the Wallet but A Delightful Tasting Menu We went here on my birthday! The server was probably one of the sweetest servers I have ever had and she made the experience just wonderful. We both did the tasting menu and it was just wonderful. We try to do a nice dinner like this in every city we visit and this one hits right in the middle of the road. The price was pretty steep even though we enjoyed the meal. We feel that it was a bit overpriced. The menu was creative and the food was delicious.

Thank you to the entire team of Emeril's for a fantastic meal. It's clear how much care and attention is put into this restaurant. Not many places can say that after over 30 years. One of the standout points about this meal (aside from the clearly great food and wine) was the atmosphere of the restaurant. The whole staff was so warm and attentive but sharp and professional at the same time. The smoothness of the service was such a treat. I didn't want to leave. Thank you Emeril and team.

Bucket list moment! Back in the day when Emeril used to have his show on the food network I dreamed of being able to sit at the chefs table and try his food. And now I actually was able to experience his dishes. From the start of our visit I felt so special, it was our anniversary and birthday celebration so we receibed complimentary appetizers and desserts. We also received a personalized card. The presentation of the food was great. Our servers were great. The food was great. I can be very picky and reserved about trying things and when I tell you I ate every drop of everything served, I mean it. Will 100% recommend that everyone should experience this atleast once!

The revamped seasonal menu with Chef EJ at the helm is a wonderful experience. The cauliflower and caviar is a standout dish and the renovated kitchen space is unparalleled in New Orleans.

11/3/2023 update: Remodeled space with classics and seasonal tasting menu! A warming atmosphere, professional staff, and outstanding eating experience. Upon initial seating, discussion of dining allergies or preferences and other introductions, guests are invited to the kitchen to meet Chef EJ who will explain all the food offerings, where and how they are locally sourced items and raised, and incorporated into the symphony of food preparation. Chef EJ and Chef de cuisine Josh masterfully orchestrate their team behind a wall of glass for all patrons to observe. We were treated to a delightful experience by the team of the 2 Jason's, Mason, Justin, and Brandon. 2022: Wonderful tasting menus for refined dining.

The blue crab gumbo was excellent. I have very high standards for blue crab, having grown up on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and the crab meat at Emeril's was outstanding. But my favorite part of the meal was the banana cream pie. I'll return just for that. I didn't love the endive salad-- thought it needed a hint of sweetness from a pear or apple. But I think that was a matter of personal preference and does not change my 5 star rating. The service was impeccable, from the minute you walked in the door. Everything lived up to my expectations.

Very nice experience. Food was great, staff was professional and attentive. My waiter Thomas was helpful in what to try when new to food from New Orleans. The starter had excellent sauce with the sausage. The sour dough bread was nice and moist. The filet mignon was very tender with a nice rub and assorted mushrooms. Coming from Europe, the food was high quality and not excessively greasy. Be mindful, that some dishes are quite hot with significant amounts of cayenne pepper though. The venue as a whole is nice with good lighting and acoustics. It is busy and buzzing, but you can carry a conversation no problem. 5 course meal was $155, vegetarian $135 without drinks, tips etc. The prices from a few years back seem more appropriate.

Beautiful place, excellent service. Food was beyond my scope of appreciation. The wine menu is 70 pages long. They know how to cook a blue rare steak. Very pricey. Everyone should eat there at least once in their life.

I think the people giving these 1 star reviews went to a different restaurant. My girlfriend and I were seated immediately in the busy restaurant. The hostess was super friendly along with all the wait staff. They're very knowledgeable and paid attention to every little detail of service. I had the pork chop and banana cream pie. My girlfriend had the BBQ salmon and chocolate tres leches cake. Everything was fantastic. I would go again to just get the banana cream pie it was that good. I had to restrain myself from moaning in the restaurant. Bravo! Definitely worth a visit when in New Orleans.

From the cocktails and amuse bush to the appetizers and entrees - this restaurant was superb and well worth the $$$! The wait staff is kind, knowledgeable and professional! Each course was just as delicious and enticing as the last! Oh! And the lighting was really good, often these types of restaurants are too dark, but it was nice to see your food, and those around your table!

Wow! What an amazing experience. We had the pleasure of sitting at the chef’s table and watching a highly talented team of pure genius put together some amazing dishes. All were pleasant to talk to about the dishes they were working on. Service was top notch and I can’t thank them enough for their attention to detail. The food is something you MUST experience. I don’t think my pictures do it justice at all! Make a reservation well in advance and come with an empty stomach. You’ll have an dinner to remember!

Dinner in New Orleans - Blue Cheese Dip, BBQ Gulf Shrimp, and Banana Pie! 🦐 First of all the ambience was great as being in New Orleans it brought the feel of being in the South. The southern hospitality by the bartender and server was absolutely great. Being this close to the golf, you definitely have to get the BBQ Gulf Shrimp. This dish did not disappoint at all. A great way to finish it off was with a Banana Pie. This definitely was a staple of this place as I could not believe how good it was. A must get dessert if you come to this restaurant.

My wife and I went recently for our wedding anniversary. This was our first time here and we were quite happy with the service and the food. My wife had a seven course sampler while I had a 3 course meal with an addition of bbq shrimp. We didn’t have a bad flavor that night! We were also gifted smaller samples of other foods and at the end, they presented us with a dish for our anniversary. Highly recommend a reservation as far in advance as possible. We will certainly be going again!

I have been in many different restaurants in the city and this one is THE BEST!! If you are looking for a great experience with outstanding service this is for you. Make plans ahead, you will need reservation and you need to pay some money upfront in order to book unless you go just to the bar or some little tables that are on the front but also will need the reservation for that. They change the menu time to time and if posible that some food you see in the pictures will no be available but can have peace of mind knowing everything is good. 100% recommended

Last night we had about 15 courses at Emerils restaurant. The description on the website said we would have an elegant dining experience and that we did. We had about 15 people serving us(not waiting on us). Because we got served. I would definitely recommend Emeril’s restaurant to you if you’re ever in New Orleans. Best birthday dinner yet and it wasn’t even my bithday. Thank you for giving my Sissy an amazing birthday experience ❤️

There are some meals you never forget. I had heard many great things about Emeril’s, as I have heard of commanders palace, galatoire’s and the like. But this restaurant was unlike the rest. The service was top notch, of course, and the atmosphere bustling in a charming way. But It was the food that really stood out. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it. The flavors were perfectly matched in every dish. We left with full stomachs but somehow still craving more. I think I will come back here until I’ve tried every dish, and still more to enjoy the chef’s specials. Our favorites: the gumbo, the pork chop, *** the banana cream cake***

The service was excellent, very attentive and courteous. The food was...all right (a dining experience to me is 80% food quality). I love salt, but it seemed the two things I ordered (soup of the day and pastrami salmon Rachel) substituted salt for any kind of flavor. It was a bit disappointing based on what you'd expect from the name.

Amazing 5 star service. You are treated like royalty without paying a royal price. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Food was amazing. Funky atmosphere and free valet parking! Such flavour in their foods! A must return to one day! We went home with leftovers because everything was so filling.

We tried calling for a last minute table for 10 people and got the expected “no availability” response. We got lucky and got two tables through Open Table at the last minute, and when we arrived, they accommodated and gave us one large round table. This was our favourite dining experience on our weekend trip to New Orleans. The service was incredible. The little touches made our experience memorable: cushioned tables to reduce glassware noise, synchronized meal distribution for the entire 10 person table, always filled water glasses AND an ice refresh following our main course, and a wait staff that didn’t annoy with constant questions. Our table was located near the kitchen so we got to see the staff in action behind the scenes. Of course, the food was top notch as well. I had the mushrooms as an appetizer and salmon (medium) for my main. The bourbon taster menu was also excellent. If we return to New Orleans I would definitely come back.

I’ve never had a bad meal at any of Emeril’s establishments and last evening was no different. Young Mike, Brad & Devonte were our attentive service crew. I enjoyed the truffle roasted and fried chicken with collard mac & cheese. It was absolutely amazing! I can’t speak highly enough of the great food and stellar service. The cherry apple cocktail of the day was delicious too!

Our experience was excellent. It began with a mix-up in reservations however Emeril's staff was accommodating and sat us within 10 minutes! We got a window seat so we had a lovely view of the restaurant with a great background for photos (bachelorette dinner). Blue Crab and Saffron Gemelli was inhaled by our party! We did a full cheese board with all four options which do change regularly but honestly you have to trust it! The fresh Tuna & Watermelon salad was my personal favorite, I had been dying to try it for months. Not a bite was left, it was everything I dreamed! The grilled pork chop was the size of a T-Rex leg!! The tamarind, mole, and sweet potatoes were actually not overpoweringly sweet at all. It presented a very savory flavor underlined by a subtle sweetness that complemented their super tender meat!

Food was delicious. Though like with most fancy restaurants... The portion size leaves a little something to be desired compared to the price you're paying. Ate off the Salon Menu which is essentially a fixed menu. Got the five cheeses, marinated olives, bread and butter for the appetizers. The cheeses were absolutely delicious. Not a fan of olives. But the rest of my group said they were very good. Ordered the blue crab gumbo for dinner. Absolutely amazing! Sadly, I feel there just wasn't enough for it to be the entree. Where Emeril's really shined for me was the dessert. I got the Smore option. It was reasonably sized, priced, and it was decadent. Very rich to where when I was done, I was done. All and all a great place. But... Your wallet is much lighter after.

The service is just fine, not great but OK. However, food is where the bad impression began. Ordered a Lobster Fettuccine but the dish looks unimaginably ugly... After a few taste, one can tell that the lobster was not fresh, mushrooms overcooked and fettuccine undercooked (some still raw and hard)... Also, the one single entree costed nearly $40, which is clearly overpriced. I hold back at 2-star not 1-star because I did not taste other food and could not say for other dishes. Hope they would be nice but I might not want to try this place anymore.

Appetizers were PHENOMENALLY well done. After that our entrees took an absurdly long time to come out, but they were also really well done. My rainbow trout had kind of an odd flavor combination. I didn't love it, but my boyfriend did. We went ahead and got dessert - the burnt honey cheesecake. It was weird and not good. It tasted overwhelmingly of apricot, and the actual cheesecake portion just tasted like a big dense chunk of cream cheese. Over all the venue is beautiful, the menu is creative and extremely well executed. There were a couple of misses, but over all a great experience.

Site says it's closed but it's open. Place has terrible service. I got not one but 2 eye rolls from a member of the staff. The vibe was off. I had to walk out. I'm not sure why we got attitude. Maybe we didn't look like we had money. So we took our "lil' money elsewhere.

Location: very close to convention center. Atmosphere: clean, nicely decorated but very very noisy. People noise while talking & laughing is beyond what I would normally tolerate. (See picture I post for the noise level). Staff: very friendly and helpful, I had long list of what I can not eat & he was able and help with that. Food: excellent in every order we had, appetizers, soup, main dish ...etc Price: for 2 persons, ordered 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 soft drinks & 2 main dishes, price was reasonable at about 115. Again, it would be nice if there was no noise!!

It was not the experience I had as a regular a decade ago. The duck gumbo had little fowl and andouille (which is what makes a gumbo) and the service was surprisingly poor. Maybe it was just a bad evening. Will try it again because the other presentations and courses were decently done. bam

We stopped in on a Sunday night without reservations. It was going to be a long wait but you can eat at the bar. We did and had a wonderful time. We were promptly served our drinks and ordered a cheese board. There was a variety of cheeses, pickled items, nuts and even a honeycomb. Just delicious. For dinner I ordered Barbeque Salmon Andouille Hash and Crispy Onions. Delicious. Everyone else was delighted with their meals. The bar tending staff was extremely attentive and professional. We would definitely go back. Note, this is an expensive meal but the experience was well worth the price.

Lives up to the hype (mostly). The stuffed clams, duck wings, and banana cream pie were amazingly good. The lamb was good, but I would not recommend with so many other excellent choices. Service was fine, drinks were all good.

Great meal that lives up to the namesake. Highly recommend the Salmon. Do yourself a favor and get the banana pie! We ate it too fast to take a photo. Had a 9pm reservation, the service was excellent and we weren’t rushed at all despite them closing at 10pm on a week night.

Wonderful meal experience. Pampered from the moment you walk in here, the food definitely lives up to the name. We were worried that it might be one of those restaurants trading on the name of its owner, but have no fear, the food was fantastic. Our starters, gumbo and shrimp were wonderful and almost entree-sized themselves. The mains however, were perfectly sized and my salmon was cooked to perfection. The wife had the lamb schnitzel and it too was outstanding. We finished off with the signature banana cream pie which was a perfect way to cap off what was a terrific meal. Our servers were incredibly attentive (bordering on a little to-so if I had to make one minor criticism) but just the right side of overbearing....and always friendly. The atmosphere was also more relaxed than I was expecting, and that's a good thing. I would definitely eat here again.
