A delicious sushi restaurant nearby the SkyTrain in Burnaby. Great options for if you're dining alone or with groups up to 6. Although they aren't the most original sushi restaurant, the service is fantastic and the portion sizes are big.

We came in when it was around 2~3pm and there was only us in the restaurant. Somehow it feels like the servers are just chilling rather than really focusing to deliver a really good customer service. Food was fresh and good! Our salmon don was amazing and prepared really fast! However, the slices of each piece of salmon was not consistence..? You would be eating one slice and its really mouth-full while others are less! Overall the price was in a pretty good range, food was fresh, customer service is somewhat ok and the location is pretty perfect as its near to skytrain. I would come back here!

The service was great, I really enjoyed the sushi. They had a large selection of dishes on the menu and everyone in our group loved their food!

We came here on the spur of the moment for a late dinner based on the reviews. We barely made the last call & ordered a mound of food. Our out of town guests were impressed by the ambience & tasty fresh sushi that they wanted to order more but no more final last call. I understand that they had a long day & needed to close. Everyone’s favourite was the assorted sushi combo party tray! Only steps away from the Holdom skytrain station. There’s metered parking out front which is free after 8 pm. An ideal place for a quick snack or dinner. Did I tell you that not only is the sushi fresh but prices are reasonable! We’ll be back!

I was extremely pleased with my sushi here today. We came as a group of 6 and received complimentary cooked salmon for our table! We got edamame and miso soup to start which were very tasty. My rolls were a spicy scallop roll and jalapeño salmon roll. Both were delicious! My whole meal came up to $20, and I was so satisfied. I will definitely come again!

The food, service, and hygiene was amazing here! The salmon sashimi was so fresh and delicious, and the staff were very friendly and even gave us some cooked salmon on the house! It was such a great surprise for my friends and I. There were also hand sanitizer bottles at each table and menus could be scanned! We loved our experience here and would definitely come again! :)

It has a great atmosphere. I like the figurines. I like the aburi sushi, blue fin tuna and I haven't found another place that has oyster motoyaki at least nearby.

Sushimoto was excellent! I love the cute decor and ambiance. From the friendly service to the superb sashimi quality, I left happy and satisfied! They even gave us complimentary salmon kama and made us kimbap even when it wasn’t on the menu! Everything was absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be back! Thank you 😊 🙏!!

This is my favorite sushi place in the lower mainland. To be quite honest, this is the best sushi place I've been to and I come here regularly. I absolutely love the atmosphere, the kindness of the staff, and the food (especially the ocean roll). I strongly recommend to come by and give this place a try!

How this place doesn't have 5 stars I don't know. It has remained unchanged for the last 10 years and the prices have not had a massive increase like everywhere else. This is the most fresh and high quality fish you can get especially in Burnaby but I would even say it competes with Vancouver and wins with the price. We love this place it always our go-to. The Las Vegas roll is something I will always crave that no other roll delivers. My husband loves the $5 Coronas.

First timer here since we live close by I've ordered take out based on recommendation of other reviewers below. Sushi is well priced, quality is fish is above average, portion sizes moderate. Overall good service, seems even busy on Sunday evenings. I'd recommend to try their sushi specials, toro, aburi, BBQ tuna roll.

Love the cute action figure display and cozy seating style. The waitresses were very attentive and lovely. Sushi was mazing and quite unique with new rolls to try! New favourite spot!

Delicious affordable sushi! Salmon Avo Roll taste awesome, I also order Salmon Sashimi and it was great. However, Amaebi was not ok. It is supposed to be taste sweet itself, but it was just a tiny ebi(shrimp) taste like nothing but too fish and too tiny. Tempura Udon was just decent. Overall it was good experience.

Loved everything. Usually not a huge fan of Japanese cuisine but the food and service at this restaurant won me over. The ika karaage( fried squid) was out of this world. I fell in love with it. The karaage chicken and spicy agadashe tofu was also completely mind blowing. Really delicious food and good service. 10/10 would recommend!

I accidentally went to Sushimoto, I really liked it, they cooked it quickly, everything was fresh. I will definitely return.

Came here pre-covid and loved it. I was really excited to come again but the quality has really gone down hill. All the rolls had more cucumber than fish. Sometimes just half empty fillings. Chopped scallop roll was especially looking very sad.

If possible i will give 0 start for service 0/0. first when i step in this restaurant no one try to scan my vaccine code its not a pleasure way to start my dine in experience. secondly the girl who helped us order food was so "busy " talking to each other. maybe they feel like small talk to each other is way more important to serve client. food is so so average sushi level. If i know before head i will never pick up this sushi store as my dine in. Not good experience and never go back again. 0/0 if possiblezhe dian yuan sha bi quan wan bie lai

Slightly pricey sushi but it is so worth it. Their sauces and rolls with jalapeños in particular, are my favorites. Great for a quick bite when you get off the train (a 20 second walk from Holdom station), where you can grab and go fast with their quick service, or stay and eat in their small and quirky restaurant.
