months now this machine does not work. Several clients have reported it and this gym does not improve its equipment, the area of ​​scarce weights lost almost and some pounds are not there. Two stars because you guys have an awesome male staff, the ladies not so much. But what exactly is going on at this location? Been coming here for years now, and it's just gotten worse. It's so nasty. I'm tired of staring at dust, dirt, and people's body hair on the machines. The 30-minute workout area looks as if it's never seen a brush or mop. Right after the gym was reopened, the staff would spend a long time wiping down and mopping all the treadmills, ellipticals - even the ones that were marked social fitnessing (out of use). But not once did I ever see them clean the weights or the machines that people actually SIT on. People walk on treadmills; they don't sit on them. What is the point of cleaning the machines that were not in use so rigorously and not clean the ones people use? It's not pleasant to see daily the nastiness, especially if I'm there in the wee hours of the morning when it's supposed to be clean, right? It has been a year of this. If anything, I don't see anybody unnecessarily wiping down treadmills anymore. Of course, we wipe what we use down, but the dust and body hair is scary to look at every day. Don't get me started on the mirrors; it always looks as if it was sprayed and left to air dry, not cleaned. And the bathrooms are always smelly and out of soap, putting it nicely. I would say this to a manager, but one is never there in the mornings.

Mostly comparing this to my experience at other planet fitnesses in NYC and similar price point gyms. Clean, well equipped and well maintained. Good arrangement and spacing of equipment over all. Dumbbells are of good quality and quantity. Minor issue of lack of weight plates among plate machines and only apparent water fountains are not on the main floor (3rd). One of the better Planet Fitnesses I've been to and good value for no frills gym.

This location has been declining slowly over the years. However, it seems to be declining rapidly as of lately. Weights are scattered all over the gym. While that is mainly the patrons' fault, I rarely see any staff around. Tissue dispensers are almost always empty, and there are barely sanitizers at the stations. There's new staff every week and while that's fantastic. It seems as though the upper management is more concerned about a fast turnover rate rather than public health.

Bathrooms need to renovated. The mirrors are cracked the floor tiles are cracked the toilets don’t work. The machines are out of service the front desk are hiding on there phones. Gym needs to be cleaned. There is no tissue or paper towels in the bathrooms. Please do something

I only come here for the convenience. A short walk from my house. Unfortunately this gym has had a tremendous downfall. There's a new manager every month, clearly there's some serious issue going on with staffing. I've been coming for years and it was great, however after the gyms trainer I believe his name is Keith left the facility, the gym has just been unkept and untidy and dangerous. When using the smith machine, weights are no where to be found, later on I end up seeing them scattered around the entire gym. Machines will be out of services for WEEKS. Some machines are not working properly and are a danger but staff members who are most likely unfamiliar with the way machines should work properly don't notice. A few months ago there were bolts that fell off the smith machine, I told staff and no action was taken for almost an hour. I'd be pretty concerned as a manager if bolts were flying out of a machine in which 25-300 pounds are being lifted above ones head. Just a few of MANY things that are improperly handled. It's in a great location so it'll always thrive, it's just unfortunate no one is properly taking care of the gym.

I had a billing question as I just rejoined. The female working Sunday morning 8/1/21, 8:30am, was argumentative, rude, was not allowing me to speak. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She hung up the phone! UNACCEPTABLE!!! I called back to get the Manager's name and she hung up on me again. Calls went to VM after that. Is this a business or a circus of animals???!!! She clearly has NO training or customer skills. She is not good for business! UPDATE! NOTHING HAS HAPPENED BEYOND THE BS PR REPLY BELOW. Your words are baseless when no one has reached out to fix the issue, even after several messages left. I should mention that this is NOT THE FIRST time I have been YELLED at on the phone. The manager has been rude. Today (8/17/21) I have a question, but is uncomfortable calling this location during the day. They are ANIMALS lacking simple customer service skills! Time to Cancel and take my business else where.

Without 24 hours, I'll have to cancel my membership. 12-4am was my sweet spot, and night time was the only time I could work out. Will be back when/if it ever returns to 24. Until then, good luck

Honestly they picked the right location for this gym, sadly however its been open for 2-3 months and already the water fountains have been broken for 3-4 weeks, prettty convenient that members are forced to buy water when LEGALLY a gym is mandated to have access to water for the members. Place is usually clean but they are stingy with the air conditioning. Bring your own supplies, wipes dumbbells and especially WATER

The first time back in a gym... put it off for so long, but I was super comfortable once there. There was no shortage of machines. Two! 2 floors! As I was on the treadmill, I could see constant sanitation by staff and members. And best of all is the staff all so friendly, looking forward to working with CJ on my next visit. He took time to explain and tweak some things to help me get more comfortable with the environment and my own technique. I am yet to take advantage of the spa benefits that go with my membership, but ... soon come!

This gym is my son and I hangout spot. We love the atmosphere and equipment not for getting the amazing employees and customers as well.

This Planet Fitness location is the cleanest and most well managed location I’ve ever been to. Machines do break because of improper use but they seem to be fixed in a timely manner. Gym is not overly packed except for peak hours. I frequently see the staff doing a deep clean and even cleaning under machines often. Highly recommend this gym and shout to the friendly staff.

Clean no toilet paper bathroom. Excercise floor needs supervision nice place.

This gym is a scam. You pay 30 bucks a month for the unlimited card which means all of the amenities, right? The massage beds are empty, and the employees don’t let you use them for more than 5 minutes. The hydro massage beds break a few times a week and all they say is “better luck next time.” The dumbbells are missing and scattered around the gym. The workers couldn’t care less and their only excuse is “sorry man.” Steer clear.

Good gym. Crowd isn't bad and can get a good workout within a hr or 2. 95% of the time members clean the equipment before or after use but the employees are always around cleaning and refilling the cleaning stations. Parking close to the gym is a hit or miss.

Been going to this location for a year. It's decent and could be a bit cleaner overall but if you're like me and you want to get a good workout in and get out, then you'll be fine. There was an incident that disappointed me in the year that I quickly learned from. I locked up my stuff and went to workout for half an hour. When I returned I noticed my locker was open and some of my clothes were on the floor. I found my bag in a restroom stall and my money, keys and metrocard were gone. I reported it to the staff and they called the police. So be wary of the locker rooms...

Soap Dispenser doesn't work properly in the mens restroom. They leave the bottle of soap out (the container used to refill the dispensers) and I guess they expect us all to touch the same bottle and use the soap. It's been a few months since this has been going on and I'm surprised management hasn't gotten it fixed. I used to work in a gym so i know the front desk workers are not to be blamed for management responsibilities.

I like this one. It is very clean and it seems that the members here are more tidy than most other planet fitness that I have been to, hope that it stays that way, as well as the staff are consistent with cleaning. The only thing I did not like is that some of the paper towel dispensers were empty and were not filled quickly enough. Other than that it is a very nice environment. I will l be here very frequently.

These treadmills are useless. You can be running and all of the sudden it stops. I almost fell several times but no matter what machine you used they don't work properly. This gym is useless

When my husband and I scanned our cards the guy in the front desk made me scan it again which is fine because it happens sometimes but he made me scan it 5 times and on top of that he gave me and my husband a huge attitude and told us we can leave. He was disgusting and rude and when we went back to ask for his name they refused to give us his name so i can file a complaint to planet fitness.

The front desk Dark skin lady with glasses and a wig on was so mean to my girlfriend and I. She had an attitude for no reason. My boyfriend said that I'm his guest and she got an attitude saying that we had to download the app as a guest and my boyfriend said we never had to do that at any other the planet fitness gyms because her my name and picture is in the system and she said well we have to download the app and my girlfriend have the app on her phone, she said that my girlfriend couldn't used her phone to download the app and I would have to download the app instead like how are you going to tell us what we can and can't do with our phones and the two dark skin guys was just looking at the girl giving us attitude for no reason so I wouldn't recommend this location at all. We didn't do anything to this lady we walked in and then she had an attitude with us first no reason which is very bad for your business/ company being introduced with an attitude. That's very unprofessional and will not return to this location.

Good gym terrible environment had 40 dollars taken from my wallet in a locker with a lock on it also bag was moved to a different locker. Management and staff knows this occurs on a daily basis but doesn’t let people know about the problem and does not do anything to help security.

This place is one of the worst things lancet fitness I have been to and I have been to many. They don’t maintain their machines- when they are out of order they stay that way for a long time. The treadmills are all old, rough and skipping. The cleaning supply does not get replaced on time. It’s just horrible- someone needs to do something about this place. It’s bad for business.

Toilets rarely flush leaving the guy’s locker room smelling of raw sewage with no where to use the bathroom. None of the sinks have working soap dispensers so they left out a single open bottle of sediment speckled soap. This place has to have multiple health code violations and the grossness in that guy’s bathroom is surely making its way onto the equipment.

I’ve been a member of this club for over 3 years. I have worked out at this location hundreds of times, usually going 4-5 times per week. This club has always had issues but it has tremendously declined in the last year. Paper towel dispensers are constantly empty or broken. It is not unusual for me to have to visit 2-3 paper towel dispensers before finding one that works. Equipment is frequently broken and will remain broken for days or weeks at a time. There has been a clip for handle attachments missing on the universal machines for literally MONTHS and not a thing has been done about it. It is obvious to anyone who spends five minutes in this gym that it is not properly cared for. The only reason I come here is because it’s in a convenient location. The free weight area is far too small for the amount of patrons who want to use this space. No one racks their weights and if they do they are never in the correct spot. If you look at the ceiling and/or the air vents you will be appalled by the amount of dust and debris clinging to them. There’s an inch a standing dust on every air vent. The floors are filthy, as well. The cherry on top, is that I was filmed by a male patron while I was working out at this location. He was approached by another man who saw him doing it and he promptly ran out. I reported it to the front desk. They didn’t seem to care much, wrote down my name and number and said a manager would contact me. I was never contacted. I would be extremely skeptical of any reviews you see for this location that are over 3 stars. Anyone who frequents this gym can tell you it’s absolutely not deserving of more than 3 stars, and 3 would be generous. If you can, go somewhere else.

I love that its open 24 hrs and I can go at off times to get my workout on. Friendly staff, lots of equipment. Parking is pretty good at off times. Proof of covid 19 vaccination is a must or you will not get in.

I've been a member here for about two years and have never encountered a problem with the staff. They are always polite and helpful. Are they perfect? No, but name me one business that has 100% perfect employees. I was recently in Puerto Rico at a PF location and couldn't gain entrance b/c my PF App was not working. I called my home location (this location) and they resolved the problem immediately. Seamless! Superlative customer service! Keep up the great work guys...and gals!!!

I went to sign up at the location 168–40 Since I signed up I have not experienced nothing but horrible customer service no one was able to show me around the gym no one explained the payments of monthly and annual nor late fees. If I was assisted more during my sign up maybe it will be less problems with my membership now instead of assisting me the two gentlemen decided to have a funny conversation with each other at the front desk. When my card was charged today $15 an amount that I was unfamiliar with I gave her a call to the gym where I spoke with Christian and I asked him to speak with his manager he told me his manager is busy doing interviews and won’t be able to speak with me until Monday and it’s Friday at 2:30. So then I asked if there’s someone else I can speak to they told me no only number they can provide me what is the number I’ve called and I’ve been calling all day and only have gotten two answers out of seven calls. I signed up to this gym because it’s close to my house and seems that’s the only perk this gym is applying for me and I refuse to keep paying some establishment that doesn’t even have the time to speak to his customers

had to update my review. Well here we go this place is a hazard to your health. First of all there are buckets everywhere because the roof leaks and no caution signs. Many of the machines are broken and can cause you to hurt yourself. Bikes are wobbly and missing the straps to secure your feet. Many of the machines will drop additional weights in the middle of your sets because the piece that holds them secure is loose or missing. If that is not enough for you during the pandemic and still happening now half of the cleaning stations are empty. Meaning no paper towels. They do not enforce members cleaning after themselves and the ones that do are often unable to because there are not supplies to do so. The saddest thing is that the staff are so sweet and do the best they can but they often have only one person working at a time which means they have to stay in front and cant take care of any of the issues mentioned. I have no idea who Planet fitness corporation lets this club continue to ruin their name. I have been a planet fitness member for 10 years and go to different locations all over the country. This location is by far the dirtiest and in worse shape. Before someone responds to my post I always let staff know about these things early morning and the answer is always 1 manager not here or only one person there cant leave the desk. Went as a guest of a black card member to tour around and decide if I wanted to become a member. Staff were very aggressive about their equipment use and member massage chair use. No one offered me a tour or offered to break down their available plans, but hounded me to take a profile photo ….as a guest. Gym was clean and machine varieties great but because of the staff members I won’t be joining.

On September 12 around 8:30 pm, I called to question the process of changing my membership from one location to another planet fitness location. The male that received the phone seemed like an disgruntled employee who did not want to help. With very minimal words coming out of his mouth, and irritated responses, he eventually hung up while I was in the middle of my sentence. This is not how an employee should receive a long standing customer of this gym. I am not asking for 5 star rated customer service, but common decency between an employee and a customer should exist.

Only give it a 2 simply cause its convenient to the hospital and my house. Plus if im going to sign for the hydromassage it should be near the entrance instead of the stairs and plus if im going to use the hydromassage. I shouldn't trek downstairs and then go upstairs in case someone take my bed. There should be an intercom or a button letting the staff know if something is wrong with the hydromassage

This gym worst gym , smell bad , bikes do not works . People use exercise machine like they are at home , taking long time to use , should have 10 min limit while so crowded. Machine need to changed , & place need to be cleaned

Like you can literally see the big amount of dust in every machine. I just come here because it’s close to where I live but seriously considering switching to another gym. Lots of workout stations and treadmills for cardio. Locker area is small and bathroom and showers all cramp in there. Looks clean. Members seem quiet. No staff seen above main floor. Little to no background music or tvs in gym area. Area is so so and parking can be a bit of a walk. For $10 / mo. Can't beat it.

Excellent place for workout. Weight lifting equipments are very enjoyable to boasting your muscle mass. Running exercises like treadmills are in good shape so as the biking to burn calories as much as you needed. Very clean atmosphere with the accommodation of available sanitations. Body enhancement and tanning rooms are also very useful. Weight lifting dumbbells or barbells are also in good term to use. Exceptional view from east side to see parking garage and subway and from west side panoramic view of Jamaica Avenue. Highly recommended for gym exercise: cardio burning calories, muscle mass enhancement.

The gym itself isn't bad. During peak hours, it's impossible to get a good workout. You have to go during off peak hours and still be patient with people falling asleep on machines. The location is tough to get to if you're driving. Parking is atrocious... Edit: I dropped it down to 3 stars because I mentioned the people and that's what the planet fitness rep focused on. No its the space. If the space was utilized better the gym would be better.

Entire gym is filled with cardio machines. No free bar and only 4 smith machines. So one smith machine takes like 40mins to clear. Literally remove one entire row of cardio and add free weights or smith machines, it will be a way better gym.

Black card “spa” experience is a joke. Unstaffed and nowhere near worth paying extra for. In fact last time I was there the massage chairs were taken by individuals who were just sitting in them playing video games on their phones. Won’t be back.

The machines are not working Short staff They use brown paper and it's not automatic, everyone is touching the bottle to spray the sanitizer and there is no scent of sanitizer. Don't go there go blink!

Whenever I'm in NY and need storage I always come here... I'd recommend anyone to stop by if they ever need storage... They'll help you out the best way possible.

Great gym, great staff. The men’s shower room is dirty tho. How often do the employees clean? I’ve noticed that the female janitor did a much better job than the male janitor but this wasn’t recent so staff might’ve changed. What hours does the men’s shower room get cleaned and for how long?

Been at this gym for a while, the employee are pretty nice and kind. The gym and the locker room is always pretty clean as well. Friendly staff and the people in there. If you’re new to working out go here 👏👏
