The place is cozy, romantic, and classy. Not very crowded, though it was Friday night I received a very good service. It’s a bit pricey yes but the food is super delicious. Totally worth it. I had a rump steak it comes with two side dishes of ur choice. It was 22 pounds. If you are two people and on budget two main courses would be enough. The proportion is good it would make full and with drinks you wouldn’t reach 100£. Good choice for couples and friends. Definitely my go to steak restaurant🤩

First time here for a special occasion. Food was good, steak lovely as it should be and the desert was canny when we eventually got it. Biggest disappointment was the service, waited for ages kept walking passed then caught a member off staff who said they would get someone, they never arrived. Ended up having to go and order at the bar. I get it was busy but when you are paying these prices and the "optional" tip being added to the bill felt a bit of an insult to be fair.

This place is amazing! We ordered the sharing platter so that we could try every steak and we weren't disappointed. Perfectly cooked meat and the sides were delicious as well.

BUTCHERS BOARD SHARING PLATTER Pictures on their Instagram and Facebook show massive portions of the steaks on this Platter but as you can see we only got 2 bits of each steak apart from the flat iron. The ribeye and sirloin were chewy and full of fat, fillet was good and flat iron was surprisingly the best... Sauces and sides all alright , chips were good and slaw was great. Staff were lovely and service was good. Overall I've had better steaks and don't think it's worth the price... Still nice tho but deffo go to rio next-door instead 🤣 6.5/10 @scranbibles insta

A bit of late comment, however back in January 2021, myself, my family and friends enjoyed a lovely meal at Tomahawks (like always). However this time, it was a bit different as it was my gender reveal meal. Our gender reveal plans didn’t work out so my mum ended up buying 2 big, black balloons- one for a boy and one for a girl. The balloons were on different lengths of string so was easy to know which is which. As i wanted my party to find out the same time as me and my husband, we kindly asked one of the staff to open the envelope with the correct gender in and help us with what balloon to use. Unfortunately I can’t remember names but a wonderful woman came out with us, handed us our balloon and made it one of the best nights ever💖 The food is ALWAYS spectacular, no faults at all. However this post is more about the friendly staff and the appreciation I have for them. The night wouldn’t have been as amazing without them, please let everyone know how wonderful they are x

Well this is a hard one, wanted to give four but few things let it down today giving it 3⭐ I visited here today the restaurant is really lovely and the staff are friendly. The restaurant lovely and clean and so we're the toilets. Now the food well.... The starter came out quick enough hot enough and was lovely Then it all went down hill from here Waited over 20 minutes for main meal after I had to ask where it was, management came over and apologised, she was lovely about it but when the food finally came out it was disappointing and cold. The hottest thing was cauliflower cheese l, oh yeah gravy was lovely also shame it wasn't a nicer meal as was looking forward to it all day. Quite reasonably priced and the portion was generous and looked nice. As you can guess didn't bother with pudding. After speaking to management again I came away happy Would i visit again 🤔🤔I always believe in giving second chance so yes I would x

I expected better or stronger flavor, I asked for medium rare and I got almost blue in some areas. To be a tomahawk well im unsure maybe marinated a longtime would make it better. 4 stars only for the mushrooms i totally loved. Even tho Im giving 4 stars, I dont think I'd ever go back

At first, we were a little disappointed. We arrived one hr early and couldn't be seated, so we sat at the bar for a pre-drinks for an hour. As we waited, there were 3 empty tables (2, abd 2x 4 seaters), and was showing availability online. So we were not sure why we had to wait so long. As soon as our booked time came, we watched a table being cleaned down for us (the 2 seater that had been empty the whole duration we were there), and we got seated at our allotted time. The food and service was awesome! So was worth the wait. There was a special menu on. £20 for 3 courses and pay for the extras (such as sauces and extra sides) , but we wanted the surf and turf from the main menu. It was around £80 that came with sirloin and rump steak, king prawns, squid rings, oysters, fantastic lobster and prawn mac&cheese, as well as your own chosen 4 sides. We had garlic Brocoli, beef dripping chips (LOVE THESE!), beer battered onion rings, and cheesy brisket hash browns. We also had a garlic sauce, which was extra. It was all INCREDIBLE! I'm not a fan of oysters but I tried it anyway. It did have shell in, which cemented why I really dont like oysters. We requested medium on both the steaks (as couldn't have diff temps). My hubby likes his steak done rare and I'm a well cooked kinda gal. Tbh the sirloin was more med-well, and the rump was cooked well done. So I was super happy 😄. Hubby still really enjoyed it, and they were seasoned really well. All together, we paid around £120 which includes drinks and extras. We didn't have puds, and we were stuffed! Even with these small niggles, I would highly recommend going again. Highly enjoyed the food and could eat it all again (minus the oysters for me! Hubby can have both next time 😊).

Ordered squid for starters - little rubbery and stuck together which isn't what I'd expect for squid. Though the sauce was nice otherwise. For mains I had the burger. It came with some fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw had a nice spice to it, which I don't mind but might catch some people off guard. The chips ... Well they're chips nothing wrong here. For the burder itself, the burger bun was over toasted, and the burger itself a little dry which surprised me as it's sold as wague. Which normally has a higher fat content, so I'd expect more juice from the burgers. But in the small print there is note that it's not 100% wague and more bred in the UK from stock years ago. But still it was dry. At the table there were also two steaks that were ordered one came out as rare, rather than medium rare as requested. The second one was cooked medium rare. All side dishes were said to be better than the main dish piece. The starter for the meatballs were also apparently on the dry side. There was quite a delay between starters and mains coming to the table, though there wasn't a full dining room. Which meant we were hungry between courses. The toilets were out of order, there were two buckets in a pool of water that you had to pass through to even get to the toilets to begin with. Though nothing to suggest they were out of order until you wade through the pool. As a table we didn't end up getting dessert. Overall for the price, waiting times and quality, this is middle of the road at best. I think the biggest disappointment is as a steakhouse I would expect perfect steaks cooked to order.

Visited to sample the restaurant week menu. Food was absolutely delicious but I felt very rushed by the servers like they wanted us in and out. Asked what we wanted for dessert as we were still eating main course. Got served wrong flavour ice cream for dessert and then waiter tried to give us another tables starters while we were waiting for the bill. When bill came we were charged for drinks we hadn't ordered and then 20% service charge added. Won't be rushing back. Edit: bill came to £47 and tip was £9 something so deffo not 10% but I didn't want to query bill a second time.

We ( my husband & I ) went to this Tomahawk Steakhouse in Newcastle on the 6/10/2023 - Friday. This is the 4th Tomahawk Steakhouse we have been to. We love ALL the Tomahawk Steakhouse from various cities. Whichever place we have a holiday that has Tomahawk Steakhouse. We sure would have our lovely, romantic dinner in Tomahawk Steakhouse. Tomahawk Steak is so tender and flavour & is so skilfully done. With great presentation. The service was excellent. We were served by a waiter named Connor. He is so attentive and helpful, & a warm, welcoming smile. He made sure we had everything we ordered and made sure the food was in satisfactory condition. We would be back to more Tomahawk Steakhouse in a different city around the UK. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have always wanted to try a steak at tomahawk. My god! It was one of the best steaks I've ever had! Cooked to perfection! One minor complaint would be the buttery garlic sauce I had for the steak was nice, but bland, could do with some salt added, but rest of the meal was fantastic! Staff was great and attentive and it was my birthday and they made my pudding real special! 😊

Excellent from start yo finish. Food was top class, steaks were perfectly cooked all dishes were beautiful. Staff and service were 100% so helpful and friendly, couldn't do enough for us

Very romantic and warm atmosphere with some brilliant staff who couldn’t have been more attentive sending my girlfriends steak back for further cooking and being more than happy to change the ice cream flavour on our dessert. In terms of the food there are so many options of steak which were apparently excellent, for outside of Teesside the parmo was pretty decent however the beef dripping chips that came with it were magnificent. The cookie dough was a highlight of the meal and great for sharing. All of this was topped off by having a table overlooking the sage, if you are looking for a treat and are a fan of steak I can’t recommend this place enough!

Went here for my birthday. Had high expectations due to 'social hype'! Glad to say all my expectations were met! The food was delicious. Oysters to start, were really good, then we went for the tomahawk sharers platter... The (ribeye) tomahawk was melt in the mouth. The sides were also amazing especially the onion rings! The chocolate cake was insane! The atmosphere is really relaxed and the staff were lovely and service was great! Nice cocktails aswel! Pricey but worth it! 5/5

A Sunday lunch birthday treat, ordered 2 beef dinners with a side of pigs in blankets and a hot cookie dough topped with ice cream for desert. We sat to eat around 12.30, the place was getting fairly busy with groups and families coming in to enjoy their lunch. A lively, warm atmosphere with interesting decor and place settings. Staff were friendly and attentive, our food was served promptly and piping hot. The meal was delicious, the beef melting in the mouth and possibly the best roast potatoes we've ever had. Thanks to the team at Tomahawk, we are looking forward to our next visit.

This place is amazing, food was lush some of the best steak we have had. The sharer for two had plenty on it. Wine reasonable price too. Service wasnt the fastest but it was a busy Saturday night. Overall great place, and would recommend to others.

Highly recommend if you're visiting Newcastle or live locally. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We visited on a Monday and it was pretty busy so if you're planning a visit at the weekend I'd definitely book in advance. I'd say it quite reasonably priced for what you get, similar to decent steakhouses in Glasgow.

Amazing!!! The food, the staff the atmosphere. I enjoy very much the Sirloin, cooked to perfection, the sticky toffee pudding, delicious. The staff make me feel super welcome.

Had Shawarma which was served along with fries, salad, 2 wraps and other sauces. The service and the food were fine. The house was full except a few tables; May be because it was a steakhouse, this place was largely dominated by male customers- like father and son duo; or a group of men; or like myself. But it was a good experience altogether for 17.5 pounds that includes an optional 10 percent service charge. I didn't have any drinks though except tap water!!

First timer, attentive staff, glady reseated us to a more comfortable area. Had the best steak of my life, the 8oz Wagyu. French Martini was divine. Can't wait to go back.

Food was good, steak cooked exactly how I asked for it. Portion sizes were just right too. Staff were excellent, cocktails were on the small side and it’s quite pricey, nearly £100 for two starters, two mains and two drinks. Having said that, overall a good experience.
