The Falls Family Lodge

Motel

😠 How is this offered as a place of accommodation at all?! It must be taken out of business immediately. This is the worst ghetto s@ithole one can imagine! Filthy, disgusting, noisy, dirty, extremely poorly maintained. Nobody picking up the phone, no working shower, water dripping from the ceiling fan... People often mention room, night, clean, small, bugs,

It was clean n warm but rooms are very small so don't bring lots of luggage cause there's no place to put it n there's no room for kids to bounce around as the beds take up the bulk of the room. It's deadly close to the Clifton Hill (2mins) though & the Falls (10 mins) which makes a difference cause there isn't alot of cheap parking down there but as it would have it the one lot across the street from this hotel & behind the Oyo Motel is a very reasonable $5/day with a very good energetic parking salesman working who needs a raise n deserves it. Park there for sure.

Filthy, disgusting, noisy, dirty, extremely poorly maintained. Nobody picking up the phone, no working shower, water dripping from the ceiling fan, ac remote not working, a/c window unit placed on top of the heads in a wall (not window), bugs, no parking, smelly from some diner next door… checked in and left. Will demand a refund. This place should be torn down

The photos did not match the room, toilet paper was half used and soggy. The shower was just used before we got in. The room is so small and smelled like cigarette smoke. We switched hotels immediately and did not stay, overall not a good experience.

It is close to the attractions, the room was clean, but the door has problems opening and closing, it would need to be fixed, the bathroom is very small, the tv doesn't work but for one night it's fine , but it needs a little repair especially the door of the room .

Bedbug-infested motel ! Last night my cousins slept there and bedbug bites all over her body’s 😔 …… Go somewhere else if you want to enjoy your vacation……. And FOOD We had really bad experience at this restaurant. They didn’t take our order until we call them. After serving drinks rather than taking order server told is pay at front. There was two but they didn’t give us cutlery. We need to ask for it. During the service nobody was there to make sure how’s it’s going. I definitely not recommending this place to go.

Stayed on the Ground Floor just next to the common area, people are talking loudly and smoking just outside our room till late, which is really annoying and inconsiderate to have a common smoking area outside a room! Interior is aged and small, we paid $300 for a family of 4 rate, which is really overpriced for this quality. There’s cleanliness issues as I see used toilet roll paper in toilet… overall i do not recommend.

People need to get their expectations in order.. for the price I paid for the room the value was good. Clean shower, no bed bugs, close enough to the falls to walk anywhere, mini fridge, microwave, TV worked.. what else can you expect for $60 a night? I wouldn’t have to think twice about going back 👍🏽👍🏽

Made a reservation for the entire weekend. Called ahead to confirm that a late check in on Friday night was okay. Was told it wouldn’t be a problem at all. Arrived at 10:30pm to all the lights on but nobody in the office and the door locked. Repeatedly called the desk and knocked on the door for over 30 minutes standing outside in the cold. Don’t bother wasting your time or your money here.

Towels were like dollar store towels . Room was tiny like a walk in closet. Hallway dark . Our view was a brick wall . Ice machine was a cooler of half melted ice . Bathroom was super small. $170 a night . What a dive . Ironically, the shower was amazing . Dirty overall . Two stars are for the shower .

Welcome to the family inn where you’ll be joined with unexpected guests. We had bed bugs in both beds as we woke up in the morning covered in bites. The owner refused a refund as we apparently slept there so it was fine. Very poor customer service will not be back

If I could rate 0 I would. I booked a room, I come to pay for it and theres no one at the desk. So I call, no answer. I went and ate dinner and came back still no ones there and no calls back at all. Thank God for the Victoria inn.

There are three of us staying in this room so we had to double beds. The bed is so damn comfortable and pillows. It's not funny. The room is very clean it gives you a microwave, a tiny little bar fridge what you have to make sure it's plugged in A tiny little TV. But who needs a TV when you're in that area? You want to go out and enjoy what's outside of the hotel your neighbor falls Go. Enjoy the price was very, very reasonable and understanding. The staff was very nice and very helpful. If you needed anything. They were right there helping you no matter what day or night. I really enjoyed this little hotel. I stayed on the first level. It was great to easy to get to the car, especially if you forgot something in there like me if I were to come back to Niagara falls or this area for any reason whatsoever I most definitely would stay at this hotel and every time as long as they were open and running and had room. I love it! It's so cute. I did not get to eat in their restaurant for I was just out and about too much and did not want to eat. But they do have a restaurant there for you plus in their little lobby. They have all kinds of pamphlets for all the different things. You can do some of those pamphlets. Even the booklets look inside. You will find coupons for things to do in the area. It's the best. I highly extremely recommend this hotel to everyone. The only downfall I wish they would allow dogs or even cats if they could even put a deposit down, which is understandable for while they're there and get their deposit after providing no damage but at least put that on their credit card or however they pay but they don't have any animals allowed unfortunately. And no, we did not have any dogs with us at that time or cats. But I really wish they do but otherwise I extremely and highly recommend this place. It's wonderful!

The second I layed on my bed I started feeling bed bug bites. I tried to ignore it but was attacked by them all night and had no choice but to sit on a chair and be miserable all night. $80 to get bitten and be uncomfortable all night. Didn’t bother to complain because apparently after seeing the reviews this is a known issue. I’m scared that these bed bugs have traveled with me because I STILL feel itchy. It’s disgusting that the owners know this and still are running their business.

Poor poor sanitation in rooms, very rude owner. Took various arguments to get a partial refund.

I don’t know if 1 star is appropriate. I would’ve used 0.1 of a star if I could. This place is still better than most here in Niagara Falls…. For its price.

Had a room booked for my sons wedding, I had a heart attack 2 days before I was to arrive so wasn’t able to make it and they refused a refund. Wouldn’t even answer back!! Do not use this place!!!!

Worst place I've ever stayed. The rooms are so small and furniture too close together, you can hardly walk. Also , the front desk was always closed when we needed something. No ice machine,no cups in room to drink from. The whole experience was disgusting.

The room was nice for the rate we paid..was clean..only drawback is that it was very small..and could have had a kettle..other that it was ok for a night or two..owners were very nice and helpful..

Good location. I stayed there for just a single night and didn't have any problems. No bed bugs - some reviews made me afraid of them, so I actively looked for them and didn't find anything. Nothing to complain about. It is overpriced, just like everything in Canada. But it is still one of the cheapest options around.

Poorly managed. I felt like there was bugs crawling on me. The roof was unsanitary and had a hole in it. The outlets are almost useless, one of them not covered- which is not safe. I felt like the air was not clean. Especially during the pandemic... do NOT come here.
