Lovely viewpoint over the promenade and the seafront. There is very little shade on the tower itself so it gets pretty hot in the midday sun, so plan accordingly. There were people dancing on my visit, not sure if it's a regular thing up there or not but it was very pleasant to see people enjoying themselves. Great place for a selfie or a group photo.

The humid temperature made the walk up Castle Hill extra sweaty (so much sweat in the riviera!) but the short and steep climb was worth it as it gave panoramic views of Nice and a look out to Antibes across the bay (Antibes come from “the city opposite Nice”). Well worth the walk.

Great viewpoint on Nice and the bay. However, the opening hours of the park are ridiculous. Closure at 8 PM in the summer make it impossible to admire the beautiful sunset above the bay and rest when it is cooler than in the noon... What's more, in August the park is closed at 6 PM! It could be the top tourist attraction in Nice. Why this park is closing so early? In the contrary, in Paris or Barcelona there are no such problem... That's why only 2/5

This place does not require a wait or tickets. However it does require courage and good health because you will be out of breathe by the time you get up there then you’ll have your last breathe taken away by the amazing view! Wear super comfortable training shoes, have some water or sports drink, wear something loose like cotton or workout clothes and take it one step at a time! Get your camera and poses ready.

We made the walk up there with a stroller and backpack. But the view was worth the struggle! If you’re in Nice you need to see these views! No public’s restroom on Friday though?!

The steps are challenging, but the views are well worth it. Didn't try the elevator. So great that this is free.

Amazing views from the top, enjoyed the waterfall. You have to climb the stairs or go up the elevator. The elevator is very small, not for claustrophobic people!! It’s a 3 minute ride up.

Lovely view point of the bay and promenade. Panoramic views. There was a busker playing the harpsichord which added to the atmosphere. The climb up is via stairs which are maintained and not too uneven. You can continue past the Bell Tower to another view point over the harbour on the other side and into the park above.

Lovely viewpoint over the famous Promenade des Anglais. You can take the stairs; it is steep but not so long and hard and you have view rest points. The view and effort is worth it.

This is a very good place to enjoy the beautiful beach and city of Nice, you can see the snow covered mountains peaks when weather permitted. The musician add another touchable point of this city.

Nice view on the city and the beach. It is a lot of stairs, but it is worthy to go up.

Best spot in Nice, the entire coastline is in view from high above, the blue water looks fantastic, the city looks great too, it's a great place to just relax, the entire hilltop is made into a garden, there is an old Roman era ruins too, also, the hill is accessible from several different sides, we got in from the Riviera side (there is a lift) and got down along the stairs into the port area, there were guys playing live music on the top spots, a constant breeze was blowing, it was great

I got amazing photos from here! Had to climb up a bunch of stairs but it was so worth it. Also, if you keep walking, it leads to deeper in the mountainside to where there's a park and nice views of the whole city. It also made me feel like I could escape into the more naturey part of Nice.

Short climb to the tower definitely worth the trip if your in Nice. I would recommend continuing up the steps for even more views and a waterfall/fountain.

Lovely viewing point, also with a bit more effort there is a beautiful park at the top of the cliff - highly recommend

The views are pretty nice but climbing the stairs can be pretty hard under the scorching sun. Usually it's overcrowded and you need to wait a little until there is a free spot near the edge.
