Wow. I searched everywhere to gather information on this church. The only thing I could fine on Eglise St Pierre d'Arène was in 1762, the priest Don Massot creates a chapel, dedicated to Saint Peter. The building is near the beach, "arena" in Nice. On January 18, 1914, an enlargement was begun which will lead to the present church. The church is finally inaugurated on January 23, 1938 although still unfinished. The stain glass is beautiful and they also have a very unusual crucifixion statue..

During our recent Nice visit, we had the chance of exploring a this church that captured us with its old architecture. We did our visit to this church mainly because it was proximity to our hotel. Being within walking distance, we decided to take advantage of this opportunity and pay it a visit, just in case. This architectural gem is a must-visit for those who appreciates the charm of historical buildings.

Beautiful artwork in this church. Lovely Mass on the Sunday evening in Nice...blessed with Pope St. John Paul 11 relics at the end of Mass.
