This is a marvelous little restaurant not far from Nice train station and in the center of town. You can eat an organic and gluten free buffet almost at all times of day in a cosy atmosphere. We had a delicious home made and all you cal eat Aïoli with steamed vegetables with a totally awesome fresh fish fillet for less than 15 Euros. Gluten free deserts are also really exceptional. The lady that operates this place is a gem. She also sells original local products such as orange jams in big jars. This place does also take aways for those in a hurry. An absolute place to eat while in Nice.

The owner is awesome! She provided suggestions for meat, vegetarian and/or vegan dishes. We arrived right before close and she happily made us vegetarian dishes... and was kind enough to offer to stay or to go. We couldn’t help but stay with such a great atmosphere.

Marianne is beyond lovely and is so passionate about food which translates into her amazing cuisine! I could and would not recommend anyone else for your food requirements in Nice and the area :) We will be back very very soon it was absolutely delicious! This restaurant is a must! 🙌🏻 The food was so fresh, and the flavours so subtle and new. I chatted with the owner and she was so kind to advise based on my requests. They have several gluten/lactose free options as well as pescatarian. Her food is medicine ☘️. Definitely going back to try one of the desserts. I’ve been travelling France for a couple weeks now and it’s been hard to find gluten free options so this resto saved my life.

Marianne catered a lunch for us whilst we were out in Nice for a hen do. The whole experience was so positive - she really personalised the menu for us and was very communicative in the lead up to the event. She then came to our Villa to help us set up and she was so friendly and accommodating. The food she prepared was not only delicious but absolutely beautiful. A very warm welcome by the owner and helpful explanation of the menu for me as a non-french speaker. Everything my wife and ate was delicious. We each started with a fresh salad plate (two types of beetroot, tomatoes, cucumber, lentals, courgette, carrot, etc... oh and some pea and mint hummus-style item), I also had a lasagne and my lady a cold soup (cucumber gazpacho). We also had a fruit based water Kefir, which was a refreshing break from the hot sun. After the meal we were tempted by deserts and chose 3!! 😋 A fluffy (vegan) chocolate & peanut butter mousse, a (vegan) chocolate-hazelnut slice, and an orange-almond-turmeric slice (also vegan)... All were delicious and we accompanied them with a nice shot of espresso. The owner was attentive throughout and explained her inspiration for the desserts, with the orange one coming only the day before. Well worth a visit and spending time to enjoy the good food.

Wonderful Vegan & Gluten free meal. I never thought curry, mashed potatoes, and meatballs could taste so good together. 😋 On street parking or there is a parking garage two blocks away.

Great food, great service, quite well priced. But the best part for sure is the really homey feel of the place, all the options I ate she made herself at the store from scratch, even the vegan patty. Definitely a nice stop by to fill up the belly and satisfy the tastebuds !

Le Comptoir is an incredibly gourmet French take-out restaurant which also classifies as a health-food restaurant. Although there are a few tables, this is mostly a take-out restaurant of incredibly high quality! Everything is freshly-prepared from raw ingredients and there are many gluten-free dishes as well as organic plates on offer. The few meat dishes ensure that everyone in the party can be well fed but many of the dishes are 100% vegetarian and/or vegan. The desserts are delectable and many are also gluten-free. The two talented sisters who own and run the restaurant are as engaging as the food is good! They also cater for movie shoots, as well as parties. Special dishes around the many French seasons and holidays are featured on their ever-changing and varied menu. A short distance from the main train station in Nice, they are not far from the beach and well worth the walk. I thoroughly recommend this amazing place where the food is as healthy as it is good. What's more, the prices are great!

This place is absolutely fabulous! The food is delicious, you can eat vegan/ vegetarian or just have a healthy meal! Soups are fantastic, their quiches gluten free are so tasty and all their veggie dishes are truly great (also, dont miss their home-made kombucha!). Marianne (the owner) and Angeline are sooo nice and helpful. If you are into healthy/home made/vegetarian/vegan food you cannot miss this place in Nice :)
