Great location right in the center of the city and 5 minutes from the railway station. Clean rooms and facilities, kitchen available, helpful staff.

Myself and a friend visited this hostel in early July 2018. Overall we were both quite disappointed with our stay for numerous reasons: As young people, my friend and I visit hostels mainly to meet people and make friends. This is impossible at this hostel. The entire hostel is very small and there is no communal living area. This means that the only chance you have of meeting anyone is in your room... Which would be fine if there was anyone there! We stayed at peak season in Nice and we were the only people in our 6 person dorm for the majority of our stay! There seemed to be other people staying in the other few rooms but we never even had a chance to say hello to them. On our last night there were others in the room but they much older as this hostel does not have a max. age limit. A key feature advertised about this hostel is that it has a pub crawl where you can meet people. This is organised by a different company and was *awful*. We went on a Friday night, it cost 15 euros and the whole evening was incredibly forced and dull. The event felt repetitive and we would highly recommend not doing it. The staff of the pub crawl were cringey and there was no encouragement to mix. The hostel is about a 15-20 minute walk away from the sea and Nice's nightlife. During our stay temperatures were in excess of 30 degrees... And this hostel had **no** air conditioning. The rooms were unbearably hot at night and consequently we had to sleep almost naked with no sheets and with the window open. This resulted in being attacked by mosquitos throughout the night. The beds themselves, whilst clean, were rock hard and uncomfortable. The room had a basin and mirror. The toilet was in a separate room. The shower was in a separate room. This meant that you had to zip between rooms to go to the toilet, wash your hands, shave, shower etc. and was very odd. The staff (a man who I assume is Patrick?) were nice enough, though not young or even present in the hostel very much. In conclusion our stay here was extremely expensive for the very poor experience we had. Hostels are not meant to be the pinnacle of luxury, but I enjoy hostelling to meet people and this hostel could not have been worse for this reason. I would not recommend Chez Patrick, and suggest staying elsewhere in Nice.

Was there for only one night and the experience was great. It is located next to the railway station and within walking distance to the seaside. The rooms are well furnished and equipped with AC. The staff were accommodating and friendly enough to provide a city map and travel tips.

Pretty trash hostel. Not nearly cheap enough for how bare-bones it is. Antiquated lock out period, absentee staff, and you have to pay for towels. The wifi shuts off at night too. Steer clear.

Hostel was very serviceable. Location was ideal. Receptionist was nice. Only negative is they don't allow you to store luggage after checking out.

Really clean and modern place. They clean every day and keep everything tidy. Staff is friendly and always helpful. This is a really nice place to stay at for a few days. Be careful: As soon as you check out you can't use the shower anymore.

Great for travellers. The price is cheap, the location is not bad, the rooms are clean. The lady who runs the hotel is very kind and helpful. She gives you many tips about the city and helps you without you asking. Definitely recommend!

For how expensive it was, the place was atrocious. There was a mouse in the room and no sinks, a outdated lockout period and awful facilities and place. Would not recommended to anyone. Extremely unsocial too.

Small and cheap hostel. I was there just for sleeping. It is very near to the station, Patrick is a very nice man and give you information about everything you want to know about Nice and what you can do. It was also clean and the bed was comfortable.

Hostel is really nice, everything is clean and staff are friendly. The hostel doesn’t do much to get people to socialise, however if you join the pub crawl they recommend you’re sure to make friends!!

This hostel is very clean. The bedrooms are comfortable and the staff and Patrick are very welcoming and the the kindest people in Nice! Ask him something and he will try to help you in the best way. The position is very really central and probably you won't find cheaper prices in Nice. Advised!

I accidentally canceled my booking on the Hostelworld application and then when I reached out the Hostelworld they told me to contact the hostel directly to discuss that situation. The hostel replied to my e-mail too late that it was not possible to book another room because they were already fully booked and I couldn’t get a refund either. I talked to the landlord a couple of times but he didn’t help me at all. If you’re considering going there you need to think twice because they are not helpful and not willing to solve any problem.

😠 Was visiting Nice just for 1 night. I had read that this hostel was terrible before I was visiting it and I had been perfectly aware of what a mess I was going to cope with. But the reality broke my unbiassed awareness with it’s circumstances. Winter chill had met me in the hall before receptionist...
