Myself
and
a
friend
visited
this
hostel
in
early
July
2018.
Overall
we
were
both
quite
disappointed
with
our
stay
for
numerous
reasons:
As
young
people,
my
friend
and
I
visit
hostels
mainly
to
meet
people
and
make
friends.
This
is
impossible
at
this
hostel.
The
entire
hostel
is
very
small
and
there
is
no
communal
living
area.
This
means
that
the
only
chance
you
have
of
meeting
anyone
is
in
your
room...
Which
would
be
fine
if
there
was
anyone
there!
We
stayed
at
peak
season
in
Nice
and
we
were
the
only
people
in
our
6
person
dorm
for
the
majority
of
our
stay!
There
seemed
to
be
other
people
staying
in
the
other
few
rooms
but
we
never
even
had
a
chance
to
say
hello
to
them.
On
our
last
night
there
were
others
in
the
room
but
they
much
older
as
this
hostel
does
not
have
a
max.
age
limit.
A
key
feature
advertised
about
this
hostel
is
that
it
has
a
pub
crawl
where
you
can
meet
people.
This
is
organised
by
a
different
company
and
was
*awful*.
We
went
on
a
Friday
night,
it
cost
15
euros
and
the
whole
evening
was
incredibly
forced
and
dull.
The
event
felt
repetitive
and
we
would
highly
recommend
not
doing
it.
The
staff
of
the
pub
crawl
were
cringey
and
there
was
no
encouragement
to
mix.
The
hostel
is
about
a
15-20
minute
walk
away
from
the
sea
and
Nice's
nightlife.
During
our
stay
temperatures
were
in
excess
of
30
degrees...
And
this
hostel
had
**no**
air
conditioning.
The
rooms
were
unbearably
hot
at
night
and
consequently
we
had
to
sleep
almost
naked
with
no
sheets
and
with
the
window
open.
This
resulted
in
being
attacked
by
mosquitos
throughout
the
night.
The
beds
themselves,
whilst
clean,
were
rock
hard
and
uncomfortable.
The
room
had
a
basin
and
mirror.
The
toilet
was
in
a
separate
room.
The
shower
was
in
a
separate
room.
This
meant
that
you
had
to
zip
between
rooms
to
go
to
the
toilet,
wash
your
hands,
shave,
shower
etc.
and
was
very
odd.
The
staff
(a
man
who
I
assume
is
Patrick?)
were
nice
enough,
though
not
young
or
even
present
in
the
hostel
very
much.
In
conclusion
our
stay
here
was
extremely
expensive
for
the
very
poor
experience
we
had.
Hostels
are
not
meant
to
be
the
pinnacle
of
luxury,
but
I
enjoy
hostelling
to
meet
people
and
this
hostel
could
not
have
been
worse
for
this
reason.
I
would
not
recommend
Chez
Patrick,
and
suggest
staying
elsewhere
in
Nice.
