My first experience grilling my own meat, and I loved it! Korean bbq in Kottbusser Damm, nicely decorated, even though it doesn't look promising from the outside. The staff was so attending and polite. The girl that was serving was helping us all the way and guiding us. Plus, she spoke perfect English, highly appreciated. The quality of the beef was also high. I will definitely go back. I loved it. The place is a must.

The restaurant had a vibrant and lively atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the beef BBQ, which was tender and juicy, as well as the spicy pork belly. We did the BBQ by ourselves which was really fun. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the cooking process and offering recommendations on how to best enjoy the food. We also appreciated the variety of drinks on offer, including Korean beer and soju, which added to the authentic experience. The only downside was that the restaurant could get quite smoky and loud, which could be a bit overwhelming at times. Overall, I highly recommend Ssam Original Korean Barbeque Berlin for anyone looking for a great Korean BBQ experience with friends!

This place was an incredible experience in itself! The staff was very polite and helpful. They advised us on which dish was most popular and which way it was best eaten. Lastly I have to give a special mention to the fried chicken, never had any better than what I had here!! I was outstanding! 😍

The food was OK. Indeed, it is hard to go wrong with Korean BBQ, since you grill it yourself, mixing with your own choice of vegetables. Frankly speaking, my review as also biased, as I had my best Koren BBQ experience in the best one in Berlin. My minus points, regarding this case, is the lack of bringing the inclusive stuff with your order. Rice is extra and overpriced, which I was surprised about the charging and the quantity. By saying lack of extras, I had to ask him that we still had choice of vegetables and he said sure, but they only bring if we ask. Well, since we were three, we had to have two main grill dishes, as their policy. Then, I would expect a better service. The staff was friendly though. The restaurant was clean as well. Overall, service, price and experience considered, I gave a three

It’s a whole vibe, that you have to make a reservation for if you want to get in on a week night. Though definitely worth it. It’s good for German Korean BBQ. They have plenty selections of meat to pick from and soju as well. Not too pricey. For four of us with 4 meat selections, 4 bottles of soju and a water it cost us €140

It was pouring rain outside, yet they didn't let anyone in even a minute early (they reopen 17.00). Then we had to wait over an hour to get our food. We all ordered BBQ so it was literally raw meat, how does it take them this long to serve raw meat with sides? Anyway, the food was a mix of good and bad. One of the dishes had high quality beautifully marbled meat, I got low quality meat with loads of fat strings. It was also supposed to be cut thinly. We all had huge lumps and had to cut them ourselves. Oh and they forgot to bring the rice. The drinks were delicious but immensely overpriced. I had one cup of tea for 4.50€. One, small cup. (Refer to picture) Oh, and the toilets are disgusting and have no normal light but some pinkish neon light

Best Korean BBQ in Berlin so far, meat in “all about beef” is very tender and high quality. The only place has air vent pipe on the table which creates the atmosphere that we miss for a long time. Highly recommended!

Great place for authentic Korean BBQ. Bring time and don’t rush, so you will grill everything slowly and enjoy the time with your friends. The seafood platter for two is amazing. Only thing that’s a bit of a pity…you need to bring cash. But other than this the good is great

If you are a Korean bbq fan, this is one of the places to check out in Berlin. Do take a reservation as it was quite busy since we went on a weekend. The meat quality was really good and I would recommend. Korean bbq option was a little pricey but other alternatives on the menu were reasonably priced.

Delicious Korean BBQ, but for prices of €30–50 per person I would have expected more comfortable chairs instead of weirdly shaped low wooden stools. Despite the great food I could not wait to leave!

I recently dined at this grill restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious - the grill flavors were spot on and the portions were generous. Service was quick and attentive. To top it off, the side dishes were equally tasty and added a nice touch to the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and great service.

Good food, i had a nice dinner. Could have more variety for the meat sides, I had two types of mushrooms, eggplant and zucchini. Wish I could not have mushrooms and added something like carrots instead. One of the waiter was really nice and the other one was too bossy when showing how to use the grill. They could have asked, "Do you need any help?" Instead of messing with the food without asking. Overall, it was great. I would probably come back one day.

my friend recommended me this restaurant, it wasn't good as my thought. it was quite and not allowed ovrer 2 hours for a meal. the drinks aren't more choices we ordered chicken and pork, and they are so terrible. their taste were tame. then it's toilets. i thought it were club, not a toilet

It was a nice evening but nothing special. The food was okay-good, the service was not too good, the prices were a bit high, but the grilling experience was cool as ytcan grill your own food. Beer is just as Boring as always as the Asian restaurants. It's not a must.

Snowing outside. Hot food inside. Got the pork stir fry and was not disappointed, you wont be either. Fair price for quality and amount!

We wanted to try Korean BBQ and chose this restaurant. Overall it was good. But it felt so unhealthy with so much meat and oil that we wouldn't try it again. Definitely very expensive but good for an experience once. The meat was a bit chewy but had good flavour as it was well marinated. The chicken wasn't marinated and just had oil. So the prices are questionable.

Meat was very delicious, we took two beef options for Korean bbq. Some of the side dishes like cabbage have been kind of dry but it still tasted well. I liked the integrated grills into the table. Service was friendly and helpful. Overall I can recommend you to go here.

It was my first Korean Barbecue Experience. The excitement of cutting meat with scissors and grilling it on your own is definitely not overrated! Both the chicken and lamb meat were well marinated, we loved the aroma while grilling! Doing “Ssam” or wrapping it up in a lettuce and having it all at once was also a new and fun experience to me. But considering the portion, I found the price on a pretty higher side. 🥹 Reservation is a must btw, the place always remains busy!

On the plus side: An amazing experience with all the flavours. So lively atmosphere. The staff can speak very good English. We were sitting there and chatting for 2 hours and time passed so quickly because we were also so busy making our food :) BUT: The chairs did not have a back so not comfortable. The food was overpriced compared to the quality. And sth funny that may also consider (it has nothing to do with the restaurant) , after all the cooking and smoke you're clothes will smell like all the smoke :))) so make sure to not have an important meeting afterwards. All in all, so fun and a good way to change the scenery and get out of conventality.

Okay hands down i give it to SSAM 👏👏 their food is amazing! If you are just beginning to dig Asian food and want to try some Korean cuisine or you are die hard Asian food lover, this place is perfect for you! Also the excitement of grilling your own meat is definitely not overrated especially when you are in good company. Mind you it gets pretty warm when your grill comes on. The meat (chicken, lamb, beef etc) are well seasoned and marinated with a delicious flavour. Trust me if you don't like spicy food you are definitely in luck. We had a completely spicy free meal! I think my best part is the radish. That damn radish was so good I asked for seconds (and yes it is free) you can ask for vegetables refill and it is free. Did i mention it also comes with rice you are not charged for? Omg the rice was amazing. You get two sauce dips with kimchi, cucumbers, zucchini, beetroot, peppers(not the hot kind) mushroom, onions, carrot and a bunch of other stuff. I kept telling my friend "we have to get the full experience" I ordered the famous "SOJU"- if you are not much of a vodka fan. I don't advice this. Service - 5 stars! They were kind enough to tell us the best way to enjoy our meal the Korean way i.e. making the wrap and the dips to use. They actually have someone going around to see if someone needed anything and if we were enjoying our meal. I think it's super nice of them. All my friends 100% certified they had a great time. I was happy because I was kind of the one that really wanted to go there. P.S. Please don't forget you are in Berlin. Cash only! Oh I also have before and after photos 🤩🤩❤❤😊

👍 The queue can get really long in a very short amount of time. We were lucky and waited for about 5 minutes before placing our order.
