Needed a room at the last minute in Auckland City, we jumped online only to discover that the City's hotels were at peak occupancy due to an All Blacks international test on that weekend. Looking unlikely to find a bargain we booked through an online site , Travel Up,. After making full payment, we waited on confirmation, only to receive a demand for more money! Advised them we had paid for the room at their advertised rate online. Waited another day to be told again, pay up! So we did as we were worried about securing a room, paid the extra only to be told after another day they didn't have a reservation for us. It then took another week to get our money back. Rude and discourteous, avoid After a mad panic we got a reservation at the Hilton, it all got better from then Arrived early, got Valet parking, proceed to check in with out wait, everything was in order, we were then immediately upgraded to a harbour/city view, it didn't disappoint. We made use of the outdoor seating on private balcony, Amazing views, Auckland was looking good! Ordered some room service, one of us would have liked more plant based options, but we both had a meal to our liking. Fantastic cocktails! Dirty vodka martini was heaven. Fast and friendly efficient service from the wait staff . In the viaduct, so you're immediately in the Bars and restaurants as soon as you step out the door, plenty of Ubers available when we needed. There is a lap pool available, it's tepid and outside I found it a bit cold, did a couple of lengths. Great experience, get a city view if possible, would definitely stay again.

It seems impossible, but this place can’t get it right. We were here Monday the 12th at 3 PM. When we arrived our room was not ready. There were many other families waiting in the same predicament. We finally got into our room at 4:30 only after I requested a manager. Fast forward to today, we have reservation they wouldn’t let us cancel. Guess what? The damn room isn’t ready again. This is an unacceptable situation multiplied by the repetition. I don’t give a damn if it’s the peak season. Hire more people or rent fewer rooms. Update: Not surprisingly they sold out of the room we booked months ago. Tried to give us a room looking at the cruise ship parked directly in front of our balcony. Spoke to the manager. He claims that our room is an upgrade. Clearly is not. I’d suggest avoiding this place like the plague. Update 2: The manager gave us $100 off of our room rate as a way of making things better. Too bad we were charged an extra $100. Seriously need to look at your staff and management.

Had an amazing stay over my birthday weekend. The staff were very lovely and so was the hotel. Amazing food breakfast lunch and dinner. The bar area had great ambiance to sit, relax, have a few drinks and look out the windows at the harbour. Will definitely be staying again

I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. They made this the most memorable experience of our time in New Zealand. Everyone was very accommodating and just great. You really feel at home at this property. It is well worth it for the proximity to dining down town. The views from the hotel are amazing.

Superb location - within walking distance of downtown Auckland, shops, Fuller's ferries and Viaduct Harbour, where lots of bars and restaurants are situated. Our rooms were spacious and clean and we had a small balcony with a side view of the harbour. Breakfast at this hotel is fabulous - you can choose from the sumptuous buffet of hot and cold food, or off the menu. There was so much choice on the buffet that we didn't even look at the menu! The breakfast room overlooks the harbour and on sunny days, the glass doors were open, which was so lovely. Bear in mind that breakfast starts at 7am at weekends, 630am during the week. We were caught out by this on our departure day as we had an early start and intended to have breakfast at 630am before we left at 7am. Alas, we were turned away and no one would even give us a complimentary tea or coffee, which we thought was poor at that time of morning. They offered us a takeaway breakfast, but this wouldn't have been anywhere near value for money at 48NZD, do we declined and bought elsewhere. The staff at this hotel are amazing, and we would particularly like to mention Mariya on reception, who was very patient and helpful, Rueben on front door duties, who was excellent on our departure day, and the very well informed and helpful concierges who made our stay very smooth. Particular praise for Robert, Andy, Pablo and Gustavo who all made life easier for us. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would head back here if we find ourselves again in wonderful Auckland. Thank you very much everyone.

Amazing location. Great buffet breakfast. Lovely views of the harbour with the harbour view deluxe. Stayed as a diamond member and received a room upgrade which nice. Avoided a day when a cruise ship was docked so the view over the harbour was lovely. The room was clean and spacious

I called to confirm our room before arriving in Auckland, I was told that we had floor 2 corner room with a ocean view. When we checked in we had floor 4 with a view of the city and harbour ??, mini bar was practically empty, but the bed was comfy. Location perfect and cocktails fantastic with a great breakfast.

Sliding doors have no place in a hotel bathroom, yet Hilton have installed one here. They utterly fail at blocking smells, sounds and steam. The one in my room at this location was particularly egregious as it had a 5-7mm gap the full length - I suspect this is intentional as the 'door' was glass and it'd be at risk of chipping otherwise. Additionally the wall mounted lights in the bathroom had a thick layer of dust - I suspect they hadn't been cleaned in some time, which leads me to think that cleaners lack the time and/or ability to reach making this a management issue rather than the fault of the housekeeping staff. Customer service at the front desk was good though, as was the breakfast and the room was very comfy.

The location is great, rooms are dated. The room we were in had black mould in the shower and was generally not very clean. Dust on lampshades and lots of marks on the walls. The staff offered us a new room which was appreciated. We didn’t move as we were only there for the night, had already settled in when they offered it, and didn’t want to end up somewhere even dirtier. The bed was lovely and comfortable. Overall I expected more for the price we were paying and the Hilton name in general.

5 star hotel? Really? The service really sucks. Waiting several minutes at the entrance to the breakfast room to be seated. Nobody there. Many empty tables, so i walk in. Now all of a sudden someone appears and the little guy asks me quite unfriendly to leave immediately - i have to "wait like anybody else". So i go to my room and order breakfast to the room. After 30 minutes, my breakfast arrives - but not what i ordered. Completely mixed up. and: be careful with the harbour view rooms. All local ferries go in and out, honking a lot. Very noisy.

Great location, great views and great staff. We spent a few nights here after our wedding and we really enjoyed our stay. It was far enough from the main viaduct area so we could enjoy a peaceful and quiet stay, but close enough to everything with only a couple of minutes walking distance away from all restaurants, bars etc. The room was very clean and tidy, our only issue was that we thought the room could have been slightly bigger for the type of room we had, particularly to allow for a different layout for the bathroom, but other than that we had a great stay. We would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.

We did not stay here but wanted to try the high tea at the Bellini Bar downstairs. This was a family occasion so we had a beautiful and spaced out relaxed setting. We were seated in a great location and looked out over the harbour. Extremely professional staff. Complementary glass of champagne for all of us to start then the high tea was truly top of the range and generous. A selection of savouries and sweets that were custom made and looked hand crafted. Every food item was of exceptional quality and taste. It would be hard to find anything that could match this. A wonderful experience thoroughly enjoyed by all of us.

Did not stay as a guest but came for breakfast and coffee. Great location, great views. Power points available in the lobby seating area great for charging. The staff are amazing and so attentive. Great service to store our luggage while at breakfast and great when needing a taxi thereafter.

Absolutely brilliant place! Fast easy check in. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean tidy and comfortable. Bar and restaurant staff were fantastic. Breakfast buffet was delicious with loads of variety. Located right on the waterfront at the Via Duct. Loads of Bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Wow! What a nice hotel! But the room wasn’t ready when we arrived! We had to wait several hours. But anyway I really enjoyed staying at this Hilton. The room was big and spectacular, and the chocolate they left for me was delicious! The view from the room is beautiful, with a big balcony that almost encircles my room. This is amazing!

Great location and great view. The breakfast was good, but even for Diamond members it was extra $ for hot food. The rooms were great. The dining was also very good and nice lounge area and bar. However there was no executive lounge here.

Great location and close to everywhere. Beautiful lobby decor, very good service. Unfortunately I had a problem with my room when I check in but the incredible Maria (reception, I think is her name) and Mark show me other option rooms and we moved to a better room and also they gave us complimentary drinks and chocolates, amazing effort and I really appreciate that. Bed was very comfy and incredible view from the harbour.

Great place by the water ! Best part is that they understand celiac disease, and accommodate completely. The breakfast at the restaurant is wonderful, and they have an entire celiac /gluten-free Area including your own toaster!! We had lunch there as well and the fish was delicious and overlooking the harbor was fabulous especially on a rainy day. Service at the front desk was great. I could not recommend this hotel more.

Super luxorious and beautiful location, the service was honestly amazing and there's not much to complain about. The only bone I would have to pick with it is that the food inside the room was a bit overpriced and the valet was over 50 bucks a night but other than that loved everything about it. The gym had many machines and had a nice view with a pool right next to it that also had a great view right onto the water.

Great location on the wharf. Breakfast was fair. Silly rule of only providing Hilton Gold members with just the continental breakfast, instead of the full breakfast (compared to ALL other Hiltons we've been to outside of North America).

We have stayed in the hotel over the last 3 nights and have been very pleased with all the staff and the welcomeness of the hotel. The staff were all very professional. The food for the buffet breakfast could have a bit more selection however the dinner at Fish was excellent on the 1st level. Our rooms were upkept very well as well. Would recommend for anyone planning to stay in Auckland!

The location and views are exceptional from the hotel , valet parking easy and fast. Loved the bar and breakfast was really great with lots of choice . The room we had was clean and well set out. The mark of a great hotel is sitting problems .. they did a superb job .. as no elevators were working ( we were on the 8th floor ) hotel helped and did so with grace and speed . Definitely a place to stay

Large hotel with spacious and clean rooms. Lots of choice for breakfast and a great bar to relax after work or other trips. The gym is well equipped and the staff is very friendly. Also the hotel is located near the harbour where all the restaurants and shops are. Would recommend to stay here.

My family and I had a fantastic time in Auckland over a weekend and staying here made it that much easier. The views and location were fantastic. It is opposite the ferry quay looking out towards the north shore of Auckland. It took minimal time to get to a ferry if you wanted to go somewhere out of the city, or if you wanted to stay around and go to one of the excellent eateries/bars. Staff and service were great and the room met what we required. Facilities around the hotel like the gym and pool were great. Would stay again.

PERFECT stay at the Auckland Hilton! From William and Fred on the door, to guest service agent Yveline, the personal service was superb. The room was well appointed with an incredible view. The breakfast buffet had an extensive selection. And the location is so convenient to the waterfront. 11/10 from me!

We had a fantastic stay. We got off the plane from Canada super early and arrived at the hotel around 7 am. They were so accomadating and got us check in right away! Above and beyond what we were expecting. We loved the location and staff and the breakfast is excellent. When we come back to auckland we will absolutely stay here again!

My partner and I stayed at the Hilton Auckland a few days at the beginning and end of our stay in New Zealand. Our room was very comfortable, even if we weren't on the Ocean side. Food and beverage were exquisite, the breakfast has a wide range of sweet and savory food. The view at the dining area is lovely too. The staff were professional and friendly, special thanks to: William, Fred, Pauline, Morgane, Lars, Mel, Jackson...and all of the team. I forgot some names, but you all made our stay comfortable with the help you provided. PS: I tried to fill in a Hilton Survey I was sent 3 weeks ago, and unfortunately the link expired. I didn't receive a survey the 2nd time we stayed. If you want to send me a new link in order to fill Hilton survey I would be more than happy to complete it. Kind regards

Excellent hotel with great view to the bay and harbour. As diamond member I received a very nice room with big bath room and pier view. Especially when cruise ships arriving/depart it is an event. Top located at the pier. Unfortunately no executive lounge but at least some vouchers for the bar. Very good breakfast with nice view. Service and cleanliness also pretty good.

Great staff. Great location. Great view from room. Shower was Luke warm and pathetic. Bathroom door did not close squarely and left a 50mm gap at the top. Bed was great. Could have done with better furniture on deck. Room was tiered. Deffinately not worth the money.

  • 5/5 Robert F. 5 months ago on Google
This large hotel is located on a pier in Auckland harbor, near where the cruise ships dock. The location is good for pier district locations and a little out of the way (but still walkable) for central business district locations. The rooms are fine. It's standard sort of hotel rooms. Nothing wrong with them but nothing memorable. Dining in the hotel is similar -ok, standard. The view of the pier and the water is memorable and one of the highlights of the hotel.

Shouted my son and his new wife 2 nights. Staff were excellent and looked after them. Upgraded their room because they were newly weds. My daughter in laws jaw dropped when she saw the inside of the hotel which is impressive to say the least, right on the Auckland waterfront. Recommend.

My partner and I went for a staycation and honestly it was wonderful!! The staff were so lovely and kind, everyone smiled and greeted us everywhere. Whenever we had a question they were so helpful. And the food! Oh my goodness all beautifully cooked and seasoned. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much guys for taking care of us so well 😊 shout out to Molly at the desk! She was absolutely magical!

The Hilton is OK. We stayed in one of their best rooms on top floor with huge balcony with exceptional views over to Stanley Point. The bedroom and en suite were both lovely but the lounge area was sparse and tired. Needs a redecorating upgrade in my opinion. The blue carpet rug on the floor looked like garage carpet. Nor my idea of a 5 star room.

  • 5/5 Shadiya S. 2 years ago on Google
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and the room had pool view as I stayed on level 5. From the balcony I had added view of skytower and waterfront. Pool is smaller in comparison to the overall place but the view and vibe was amazing. Pool is not that deep either so good for non swimmers to be able to see the underneath side glass pool view. I was lucky enough to get the pool to myself for a bit.

Loved our stay here. The food at the Fish Restaurant was mouth watering and breakfast was delicious. Room was wonderful, Bathroom was Huge and the bed wad so amazingly comfortable. (Need to know the maker to purchase one please) Views were stunning and I can not stop complimenting the professionalism, respectful and friendliness of all staff that we met. Right from the Valet on arrival to the Valet from departure.

Highly recommend the Hilton for a business or family stay. I stayed in two different rooms over a period of 7 nights. All rooms are a great size and very clean. Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming at all times. The breakfast is amazing with so much to choose from. Room service is super quick and the food is good. The hotel amenities and facilities are great .The hotel is conveniently located with spectacular harbour views. You couldn't ask for more.

Our family stayed here for one night on our way out of New Zealand. It was gorgeous. We paid extra for balconies and a great view and it was great treat! We spent a large time just enjoying the hotel ammenities (bar, breakfast, gym, and pool). If you can afford it this is a great place to stay.

  • 4/5 Indran D. 1 year ago on Google
The best breakie view ever. Amazing. True sustainability plan - leave a sign on your room not to clean it and they give you $25 spend money on their outlets. I am so impressed with this marketing strategy yet highly clever on helping the environment. Lovely rooms inside although my view wasn't great. Don't get fooled by the pool, it's just tiny but heated so even good on a cold day. Gym wasn't appealing.

  • 5/5 Caterina B. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed here for my birthday. A little on the pricey side, but it was the best idea ever and don't regret it. Were treated like VIPs from the moment we stepped through the doors. Checking in and out was a breeze. The basic rooms are lovely. Clean and modern. We had a room facing water so we were well happy with the view. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. Would recommend adding this to your stay

On my recent vacation, I stayed at 3 different Hiltons. My friends and I loved our stay at Hilton Auckland and we verbalized it to the front desk. We were coming to the end of our long trip with flights that either arrived super early or left late. It was an amazing trip but very tiring. Hilton Auckland was the only one that allowed us to check in a little earlier and check out late. The staff and management were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The room had a terrace with a lovely view of both the city and harbor. The breakfast buffet was fresh with many options and delicious. As a diamond member, I felt appreciated and wish all my stays was as exceptional.

We loved staying here! Himeka at the front desk was great able to accommodate an early check-in for us while giving friendly and personable service. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the restaurant has beautiful views of the harbour!

Rachel, the Korean receptionist, was friendly, polite and helpful. We got steak delivered up for room service since the restaurant was closed due to a birthday event that night. The Duck Island sandwich ice-cream was delectable for dessert. The Minibar had a selection of good options, also. All in all, a commendable stay.

Unique location at the end of the pier. Easy access to The Wharf bars and restaurants and the Fuller ferry. Staff was all lovely and unlike most places after COVID, they don't seem understaffed. The Bellini Bar and the Fish Restaurant were both great. Overall a lovely stay.

We had an awesome time on our first trip to New Zealand! The hotel was fantastic, the location was perfect, and we absolutely loved the breakfast. The reception team was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The only downside was that the valet team was short-staffed, so we had to carry our own bags. And to top it off, the porter kept complaining about their boss, who apparently never left the back office and wasn't helpful at all. It kind of put a damper on things, but overall, we had a great stay.

Was an amazing view especially when it is sunny. The single beds were too small for me and I'm over 6' so keep that in mind. The absolutely worst part about this is if you have a room facing the ocean expect to hear boat horns at every ungodly hour possible. The a/c was very weird.

Loved our citybreak at the Hilton. Lovely rooms and good in-room dining options - the vege burgers were very good. Loved the heated outdoor pool. Only small downside is the walk from the viaduct down to the hotel - A 200m walk down the road between the two buildings, a little dark but the walk ways are wide and are lit.
