Grandone Chicken serves up Asian-style fried comfort food. Opening during the pandemic, they had a hot deal going based on the rave reviews. Somehow we didn't get the hype memo, as our order was far from a grand one. I'm glad the business is doing well so I'm sharing an honest opinion of the fried chicken and shrimp sandwich. The staff was surprised to have business on a weekend afternoon, and just sat under the cash register. Within our order, the fried shrimp sandwich came loaded in a crunchy patty with beans & veggies inside toasted buns. I was anticipating a good bite; the only problem was that it was rock hard without much flavour. Since I don't like wasting food, I didn't toss it out. The spicy chicken was crispy and seasoned well similar to Taiwanese fried chicken. Its only drawback was that the spice seasoning was quite salty. Not as ultra crispy as Taiwanese night market chicken but it'll do. One benefit of this location is that dessert is only a stone's throw away. The nearby Wooffles & Cream stall is always busy. The rest of this quiet food court seemed to have fallen on harder times during the pandemic though a return to office may help boost lunch business. However, we'll be getting our fried chicken fix from elsewhere at a similar price point.

I ordered this for lunch on ubereats. They had a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion which was an incredible deal. The popcorn chicken was spicy with a sweet kick to it. I'm surprised it was still so crunchy for a delivery item. The fries came soggy but that's expected. The fish sandwich was very tasty.

a new place for fried food! the chicken here was good. Nice and crispy! The calamari breading was awesome too. The extra star is for the shrimp burger that I think is the absolute winner on the menu! a ton of shrimp inside the burger and really enjoyed it a lot! they can get super busy as this was my second attempt to get food from them, but each time the person helping was nice and polite. This second time, I went earlier on a Sunday late afternoon around 5-ish and there was no line or any big orders for dinner yet! The only issue I had was that with the meal, a large bottle of pop was to be included, which was forgotten. Other than that, no issues and was very satisfied with the meal! Uber Delivery. Was a good a deal for buy one get one. Good: Was fast, nicely packaged, no errors and all extras included. Fish sandwich was tasty. Not so good: Popcorn chicken was pretty much just fatty batter, not a lot of chicken in it. I don’t know if I would buy any of this without the special.

Given that today was National Fried Chicken day, I was on a quest to find some chicken to celebrate. Found this location on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The chicken was very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They made our order fresh and seasoned it with their spicy powder (which was a little bit sweet and had a mild kick). I will definitely be coming back next time I have a craving for fried chicken and will explore other items on their menu.

Ordered the fried chicken and shrimp sandwiches. I really liked the shrimp sandwiches, you can really get a grasp of the shrimp they used all made in a crispy crunchy patty. The chicken coating was good. Attached well to the chicken. Great sized pieces. The only drawback is the chicken wasnt cooked through and through. Ive ordered twice and had to toss it in the air fryer before eating it.

Chicken is good. Love the taste and crispy texture. Wasn't a fan of the shrimp burger. Not sure what the patty is filled with but 10/10 did NOT like it. They currently have 50% off their entire menu until January 31st, 2021 so we definitely took advantage of this deal. I'd go back if I was in the area and craving some fried chicken. Btw their spicy isn't spicy at all. Think of it as seasoning with a little extra flavour.

The fried chicken is 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐏𝐘!!! AND 𝐉𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐘!!! It’s moist inside! I kind of get the Taiwanese fried chicken feeling but not exactly the same. Go get the hot spice!!! It’s not super spicy. LOVE it❣️ Shrimp sandwich is probably the most unique!! Beware! It only has limited quantities (get their early). It’s loaded with corn and real shrimp!! And amazing spice!! It’s not our favourite but it’s def worth getting it!!! Calamari is super crunchy! The batter and the squid ratio is on point!!

I enjoy eating at this place and this food court. I have had their fried chicken pretty often now and every time it hits the spot for a very reasonable price. The spicy chicken is great as well, not very spicy but has a great flavor. Tried their chicken sandwich as well and it's not the best chicken sandwich in the world but it hits the spot with the dark meat. Tenders are also quite good, not the largest in size but respectable and very reasonably priced. I do enjoy eating here. The food is good and reasonably priced, the staff is also very respectable and friendly.

I ordered food today from Grandone. I ordered ahead through google to avoid needing to wait. When I arrived to pick it up, they had no idea about the order, and said they don't check the google orders anymore. So I had to re-order, and it took over 20min to prepare (12 chicken pieces and 2 sandwiches). I asked for sweet potato fries (on the menu) for one side, but they said it was not an option. As I was waiting I noticed a sign they have up - depending on how much you spend you get a free item. When the order was finally ready I asked about the free item. They said I would have to wait longer as they would have to make it. So basically they don't offer it to you unless you ask. I wanted to try this place because my daughter loves chicken sandwiches and likes to compare them. She said this one was one of the worst and did not finish it. I will say the fries were good though. Make sure to be specific about your order, they do not ask any questions (e.g. spicy or not, white meat sandwich or not) so you may not get what you want if you are not clear. Unfortunately the service was so bad we won't return.
