This place is in very good location. The soundings are great. The ambiance of the restaurant is very important for me. I liked the ambiance. Interior is done quite good. Lighting plays a key role in the ambiance and I can't complaint about it. Food , the main part .. it's good. We had Cauliflower Manchurian and it was very good and crispy. Drinks are also good, but could have been better. We had fried momo and they taste great. Staffs are good and very nice. Price is on a higher side. Also parking space is not there. You have to park somewhere nearby and walk.

Attentive and polite service with good Indian food. We ordered the Tandoori Favs Platter ($42) which has an assortment of tandoor meats. For the price, the value was questionable. The butter chicken was excellent on flavor with limited amount of chicken pieces.

First time visitor, and it exceeded all expectations. I went for their Indian Brunch with High Tea, and my group ordered several things on the menu, as everything was so good. My favourite was the chili cheese toast and the high tea platter. The staff were very friendly, and they have a nice patio. I definitely recommend a visit. I'll be coming back soon!

Fantastic service and ambience. This place looks and feels like a fancy Indian restaurant. Unfortunately the food is where it disappoints. I’ve enjoyed the Host (Richmond Hill) many times before so was sad to find the food here at Mantra no where near as good. Food: All the meats on the Tandoori tasting platter were incredibly dry. It was a struggle to get through this dish and we ended up packing most of it for take-out. Butter chicken was off, might have been the white drizzle on top — it came off sour and overly acidic. It had notes of what reminded me of tomato sauce. Lamb roganjosh was okay and had plenty of lamb in it. Garlic naan was average. I enjoyed the Spinach Truffle naan more, but not enough to order it again due to the price While I was excited to try this place, I don’t think I will be returning

Great ambiance, good customer service and tasty menu👌 Authentic aromas & delicious food, a little on the watered-down side..but the menu has some great selections. The interior is very nice with a light background Indian music. Service is good and quick, but could use some tweaks.. Other than that, it’s a great spot👍

There is nothing I can say bad about Mantra. Everything that we had whether it was the biryani, the curries, or the desserts, it is all delicious, full of flavour, and brought me back to the flavours of my home country. If you're looking for an Indian restaurant to try, this is definitely the spot.

I visited this place recently for dinner and they were quite busy, we had to wait for few minutes to get the table but that’s completely fine. We ordered Veggie Sliders, Manchurian Cauliflower, Paneer Kofta, Garlic Naan, Layered Paratha and for drink I had Virgin Mojito Classic. The food was great except Manchurian Cauliflower as it was not that good for my taste, Service was pretty good as well. Also their ambiance is really good too. I have had their food before in take out a while ago but dine in is always much better. I’ll be going there again soon for sure.

Mantra feels like home. It’s the small things that matter: - the way the food is served - the presentation around the appetizers - the dedication behind explaining the ingredients behind every dish - the staff being friendly and timely service The owners Chef Ashish and Monica are extremely gracious and kind - you'll often see them going table to table to make sure that your experience at the restaurant is going well. This is a must try for anyone who wants to try Indian food with a innovative spin or for those regulars who are still looking for good Indian food in Toronto.

Food here is great, you can get them at regular spice levels or “Desi Style” if you want an extra spicy experience. Good variety of dishes available, typically on the spicier side for seasoning, but not overly spicy if you’re accustomed to eating Indian food. Definitely recommend the Biriyani!

Great food and service. Had the roadside curry chicken which was good, but personally I think i would've preferred the butter chicken. Butter paneer was also a great vegetarian dish. I wouldn't bother with the mango lassi ss it comes in a tiny glass and made with rubicon- still good though just not for the price you're paying. Veggie sliders use aloo tikka patties and the tandoori mushroom was great. Also the staff are really nice and helpful

This is certainly one of the best Indian restaurant in Canada. The owner chef is from a most reputable Indian restaurant family in the industry. Special dishes such as the Charbroiled and simmered wholle leg of lamb is extremely good. Tandoori lobster and prawns are fantastic. Highly recommended.

Since I and my family were craving Indian food and we were around the area - we stopped by Mantra. The food here is nice - quantity is good and the service is also apt. I ordered Favs Platter - almost includes all tikka’s and chops, cauliflower Manchurian (one of the best), Hakka noodles, and spinach truffle naan (one of a kind and scrumptious) We enjoyed it a lot and got to meet the chef Aman who is very knowledgeable and recommended us the truffle naan! Coming to the service part - all the servers were super helpful and took great care of us, especially Tanya!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is craving Indian!!

Great food and friendly service. The single table seating is quite cramped, as there is a wall hugging the table. The Chicken 65 was on the salty side, but everything else tasted good.

We visited this restaurant for the first time this Mother's Day and had a great time. The food was delicious, especially the cauliflower and the spinach goat cheese fritters (appetizers). The service was really friendly and the food came out quickly. We would definitely go back!

Great food, friendly service, ideal for family and friends hangout. We got there at 2, kitchen closes at 2:30 and restaurant closes at 3pm but they still served us with quality food and the girl served us didn’t rush us at all. Very professional and friendly people.

Great food and great service! They even made us an item that was from their past menu. Highly recommend their butter chicken, and ras malai tiramisu.

4 stars because of Amazing service from the staff. But personally the food flavour profile wasn’t for my liking. The chicken65 here is completely different, they should definitely name it something else, I didn’t like it. Butter chicken was okay, it was a bit in the sweeter note, and the Biriyani wasn’t too bad, a lot of masala on and a bit on the wet side, compared to any other biryani I had.

Last night, I dined at Mantra by Host and wanted to share my experience. The restaurant had a great ambiance and a friendly, attentive staff. We tried a variety of dishes,.The Manchurian cauliflower was outstanding. Garlic naan were great aswell. However, the Roadside chicken curry and Jeera rice were just okay, and the Chicken 65 was slightly overcooked. In summary, Mantra by Host offers a wonderful atmosphere and service, but the food experience was a mix of hits and misses. It's worth a visit for the ambiance, but food might not be its strong suit.

Food and service is great. We had Dhokla chat which is flavourful. Also had a chance to try their Winterlicious menu, and it was mouthwatering Must try - Cauliflower manchurian

Visited “Mantra by host” this afternoon and enjoyed the experience. Dishes tried: Tandoori lamb chops, chicken Hakka noodles, Lamb pepper fry, chilli onion naan, watermelon mojito. The food taste was nice, great ambience and good service by the staff. The menu is overpriced for the quantity and taste, can visit for trying once or twice but cannot go back on a regular basis.

The food was good! Full of flavors! The table was a bit cramp, a bit small. Someone was bumping my back. Service was good and made it all the difference. We went without reservations, but be mindful that you need one. We were close to being turned away. Fancy! No buffet here, lol!

Came here for winterlicious for the lunch hour. Got the pakora, mushroom caps, roadside chicken curry and the rasmali tiramisu and gulab jamun. Mushroom caps were okay. Pakora was excellent. Chicken curry was also nice. The naan was probably their best dish. It was soft and fluffy. The rice was a little bit over cooked. The desserts did taste like they were bought from the refrigerated aisle at the grocery stores and then just put together. It did not have the authentic taste that I was hoping for. Service was good although it did take a long time for the food to come after ordering.

Fantastic restaurant, fabulous tasty assortment of appetizers and mains to choose from. Love the decor so tastefully decorated and furnished. Beautiful outdoor seating as well. Great for the entire family! Everything we ordered was finger licking good. We shared a chicken curry, fish in coconut curry sauce, lamb curry with crispy garlic Nann bread. For appetizers the Manchurian cauliflower and the vegetable pakoras. Nice selection of beers, hard liquor, cocktails etc. We will definitely be going back.

The most delicious Indian restaurant I've been to in Toronto! The curry was so creamy and flavourful, and the naans were soft. The Samosas were super crispy and also very delicious. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for Indian. When we ordered the vindaloo the server warned us it was extremely spicy, but if you enjoy spice regularly, it shouldn't be too spicy for you. It has a good kick. The servers were friendly and attentive. I just wish the tables were a little bit bigger so you can share dishes together.

The food was really great, must try their biryani. They have good options for vegetarian options, they have good reach Indian taste in their Indian currys, if you ask them to make it desi style they will make the food they way you eat in India. They really need to improve on their drinks, cocktail did not taste that good.

We came here for summerlicious and enjoyed the food! The lunch option was great and pet friendly we ate outside on the patio with our dog! The menu was delicious we loved the two appetizers that we got so flavourful. The Tandoori Brutta Corn Chaat is so good these corn chip things are insane I wish I could buy these and eat them at home as chips! We got the Masala Lamb Roganjosh and the Butter Chicken on the bone. Both very tasty, butter chicken of course a classic if you like something less spicy and on the sweeter side I would suggest this! The Lamb is more on the spicy side but loaded with flavour! You get some naan bread and rice so be sure to have an empty stomach! For dessert we got the mango coconut mousse and the tiramisu which was very interesting! Check this place out its quite tasty!

Each time I dine at this restaurant I am never once disappointed, I have been eating here for many years, my favourite is their biryani, and haryali kebab, their food, ambience, interior decor, service, is a 5 star making it a full package. Looking forward to devouring all their delicious recipes one day at a time!

Food is good. Service is fast and good. Ambience is nice. Tandoori chicken is very good. Price little higher side. Removing 1 star for lack of some items from menu.

Great food, good service. We had a great time at this restaurant, food was very tasty, well done. The servers are very polite. We ordered chicken dum biryani, bbq mushroom, Nepalese Momo's and other vegetarian dishes. Everything was very tasty, we didn't find the Momo's to our liking.. rest all the food was great!
