We've come to Cheese Garden multiple times for their matcha double fromage cheesecake, uji matcha tiramisu and matcha latte. The service is good and the quality of the cheesecake and tiramisu is excellent. I would have given them 5 stars if they had options other than whole milk for their drinks and if they didn't stop serving drinks 30-60 mins before their store closes! They are the only cafe I have come across in all of Toronto that stops making lattes significantly before the closing of the store.

Have returned, multiple times. If you're ever in Toronto and need some Japanese style cheesecake - this is it. Skip uncle and come here instead. A consistently high quality experience and product, with bright cheesecake flavours that won't leave you feeling too bloated or like you'll get diabetes. They're not the biggest, though each should serve 4. Recommend the Matcha. Takes AMEX. $23per cheesecake.

Sad that they’re always sold out of what I want 😭😭 But the cake is always fresh and good. Love fromage cheesecake and pudding It comes with how to eat the cake too 😂 so don’t worry Nice packaging. 2 of these are about $30 It’s not bad cause with all the packaging and quality of the cake I guess it’s worth it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Definitely should give it a try

First time visiting this store. Only take-out or delivery available. Maybe it's in the late afternoon, I only bought one dessert and one drink. (It's a pity that I couldn't buy the Peach Oolong Tiramisu. I thought I could purchase in-store but they said it's sold out......) Food & Drink: Match Yaki ($6.45CAD without tax) Iced White Peach Oolong Tea - Regular size ($4.95 CAD without tax) The package of the March Yaki is cute. The dessert is put in the small can and you can read the images that I uploaded. The taste is not bad but I really want to try the Peach Oolong Tiramisu and Yaki Budding cheesecake...... The Peach Oolong Tea tastes good with a bag of green tea inside. If you want to purchase what you want from the menu, I would recommend contacting them before coming or buy online early. Hope this information helps you.

So so yummy! I ordered Uji organic matcha tiramisu, baked cheese tart, Double fromage cheesecake, Yaki pudding cheesecake (original) via UberEats. Uji matcha tiramisu was everyone's favorite! 5/5: For delivery, they come with a small container of matcha powder on the side for you to sprinkle it on top. I should've used a sieve to make it pretty but I couldn't wait. You simply must try the matcha tiramisu. The cream is so silky and soft, it melts in your mouth. They layer the tiramisu with as follows starting from bottom: sponge cake, matcha cheese cream, sponge cake, cheese cream, then sprinkled matcha powder. The matcha flavour is very decadent and oh-so-pleasant. If I were to point out something minor.. I found the texture of the cake a bit like a dry sponge, so it wasn't soft enough to fully compliment the cream. To elaborate: When I took a bite of this tiramisu, I would have the cream melting in the mouth and need to chew on the sponge cake instead of having the cake melt alongside the cream. Nonethless, this tiramisu is a must try. The matcha they use has great quality and flavour, and their cheese cream has a nice soft cheese flavour. I recommend buying two if you're going to share with other people. Baked cheese tart 4/5: The cheese filling in this tart is RICH. With a small slice of this tart, your mouth will be full of the cream cheese goodness flavour. The filling has a soft light texture but comes with a full and bold flavour. If you prefer a milder taste of cheese, you may not enjoy this tart more than one bite because one bite was enough for some of us to start craving something savory/spicy to balance the powerful cheesy richness. The tart crust is super flaky! I gave one star less because it was a bit tough to cut this tart into slices. Double fromage cheesecake 4/5: it's got a nice soft flavour of cheese. Beautiful cheesecake. If you get delivered, keep it out in room temp for some time before serving. They come from their freezer so it needs times to thaw. But once it's ready, it's a nice treat. Yaki pudding cheesecake (original) 2/5: unfortunately for us, it just wasn't it. I couldn't taste much of cheesecake flavour. The pudding is soft, it's got a layer of sponge cake on top. Compared to the other items we got, this once was just too sweet for our taste. I apologize to those who enjoyed this but it just wasn't one for me. But if you like caramel flavour, please try! Overall, I would highly recommend anyone to try this place. The packaging is cute too.

I got the new bubble tea cheese cake and I will have to say I am disappointed. I like the alley bubble tea and normal cheesecake, but this cheese cake is worse than the one I have in ayce buffet. There is no cheese taste at all. The cake part taste like stale Tim bits. The tapioca on cake is the worst idea of cake topping in the history of cake toppings. It is hard as rock.

My friends and I ordered a cheese cake and then we were told to come back in 10 mins to wait for it to defrost. After way more than 10 mins, we came back and were presented very kindly with this good lookin cheesecake, but to our surprise it was definitely still frozen. The flavour was really good and so we could taste the potential, but we were sad to eat a frozen cake. Will come back next time and try again next time we are around! :)

I struggle between a 3 and a 4 star because: 4* is for the cakes 3* is for their marketing material. I would use a 1 if I could. I've had the Deerioca cake, the regular cheese cake, the green tea tiramisu (in a cup), and their cheese tart. Verdict is that the Deerioca cake is a joke (why would you put tapioca that looks like pieces of animal dropping on a cake, and have caramel oozing down looking like some questionable drip?) Also tapioca pearls can go stale after just one night in the fridge. The cake was really hard to eat after and it was a disappointment. Original flavour is however really quite nice. Green tea tiramisu is fantastic - not too sweet, moist but not soggy, sits well in a fridge even after 2 days (I couldn't finish it in one go). The cheese tart is only average. I would recommend new clients try out the original first. Customer service is always good, the young people working there are polite, hard working, and do their best in responding to customers. I do wish they have more people on duty though as for example in and around Valentine's Day it was quite the wait but I could see they were all going as fast as they could. Most of their website and their product descriptions are really ungrammatical and just weirdly written. I had a hard time understanding what's "non-baked mascarpone cheese" on this cake I bought, for example. If it wasn't baked along with the cake base in an oven, I think they should just say "FRESH mascarpone" or simply a "mascarpone top layer". Almost all of their product descriptions are riddled with convoluted writing like this. I also once saw an older Mandarin-speaking couple who struggled to order in English, asked the cashier if they can order in Chinese, and the cashier (as well as another staff member) apologetically informed the couple that the company does not allow them to serve clients in any other language except English. I mean they did manage to order at the end with body language but why make the customer's life difficult? A local Canadian business can be a celebration of all different languages and traditions. I also got this bag with this very questionable tagline printed on it: "I'd love to try every flavor of yours". I took this cake (and the bag) to share with my coworkers and I thought this was just so inappropriate as it was highly suggestive as a tagline. I was honestly a bit embarrassed taking this on the subway. Thank god the slogan was not very noticeable on the bag. A look at the website told me that a professional copy writer should be hired for their marketing material, so that it can be appropriate for all age groups and clientele type. So my review to Cheese Garden: your recipes are fantastic, it's nice to have an alternative to Uncle Tetsu, but please really give a good read of your marketing material as I just don't think it's appropriate for customers to walk around with this bag, for example, that has such a questionable tagline.

We ordered the chocolate and matcha pudding cheesecake. I was a bit bummed compared to what the other reviews said. The cheesecakes came in plastic boxes, and the texture was not what I expected. It was very watery, spongey, and the flavor was a bit dull. I almost wonder if they were frozen or made elsewhere? The matcha lattes were good, but I would not get the pudding cheesecake again.

This cheesecake sundae is an explosion of multiple flavours. I did not expect this when I ordered it, but it was a pleasant surprise. Layers of cream, cheesecake, and various other cheesecake cookie components make it a delightful treat. Highly recommend it!

The Japanese cheesecake is very fluffy and taste “more cheese” than other places in town. Uji matcha tiramisu is really creamy with great balance on matcha and cheese favour. Special drink is not bad either. Quick and safe contactless service.

Went to this location with my friends shortly after dinner in the area. The place was schedule to close a little over a hour after we arrived. When we arrived it empty so we were able to find seats very quickly. A couple items were already sold out (including the Uji Matcha Tiramisu I was planning to get) but it's expected since it was the end of the day. We ordered the last of their puddings and a Matcha Double Fromage Cheesecake. The Yaki Pudding was very silky and I really enjoyed the complimenting texture of the pudding with the cheesecake bottom. The Fromage Cheesecake took some time to come out possibly because it needed to defrost it a little before serving it but they did divide up the cake into our requested number of slices which was great. Overall the cheesecake was delicious; I think the cream cheese layer might have still needed a bit of time to defrost but the matcha layer was very rich and I quite liked it.

Simply love their Japanese cheescake - really light, not too sweet, fluffy and delicious 👌🏻Perfect for parties too. Also the Cheese Tart oozes with cheesy goodness and the Yaki Pudding Cheesecake is also nice. 👍🏻

I have tried multiple items at this place and many times. My family loves their cakes and my favourite is "Shiroi Valentine Soufflé Cheesecake". This is a must cake for my bday celebrations. Recently tried their valentines special "Sweet Valentine Double Fromage Cheesecake". I may not repeat it but worth celebrating valentines day with this cake

My friends and I ordered the original cheesecake but the cashier told us to come back in 15 minutes so that it could thaw. Yes, you read that right, THAW from frozen. So we came back 15 minutes later and indulged in cheesecake popsicles (the popsicle sticks being our forks). My friends were grossed out by the semi-frozen cheesecake... but if I'm being honest, semi-frozen cheesecake is kinda bussin' no cap no kizzy.

This location of Cheese Garden has done a great job with their interior, easy-to-read menu, and very well organized protocol for contactless interaction. I ordered the Classic Japanese Cheesecake that carried well all the way back to Kipling Station. The cake itself was very delicious and thick (when taken out of the fridge). Flavour-wise, it was definitely mellow and slightly more cheese compared to other Japanese Cheesecake places that I've visited like Uncle Tetsu and Love Me Sweet. It was such a treat! The staff are very efficient and treats their products with care. They also have a handy distanced contactless payment at the table away from their desk to provide isolation. Note: This is one of the 4 Cheese Garden locations in Toronto (North York, Eaton Centre, Midland and Pacific Mall).

Very cute store with friendly staff. We had stuff from other stores and they helped us to pack everything. Had coffee there, ordered the matcha tiramisu and pudding cheesecake to go. Super tasty desserts but not too sweet.

啊这 也太一般了 Tried the macha sundae, presentation is cute however the taste of all the ingredients is meh. Even McDonald's ice cream is better than this.

Amazing quality dessert! Perfectly light and such distinct flavours make this spot worth the price. I got the limited edition rose valentine soufflé cheesecake which sadly is only a temporary item but it was delicious!

Great service! Loved the cheesecake. Also try out the Yaki Pudding Cheesecake for $5.95 It’s delicious and is available in 4 flavours: Matcha, Chocolate, Coffee and Original. There’s a lot of items in the menu to try out. I am going to visit again soon!

I ordered 4 yaki pudding cheesecakes for (what I thought would be a special dessert) for New Year's Eve. The positives: the on line pre-order was extremely easy and I immediately got a text message and email confirmation of my order for pick up the next day - I paid in full when placing the order. This was my first time trying Japanese cheesecake but had always seen long line ups to buy products so I thought the dessert must be really special! The photos on the web page looked mouth watering good. The description of the cheesecake (for over $6 each cake) said it was suitable for 1-2 people and I thought about buying 2 cheesecakes for 4 people since it would be at the end of a large festive meal, but decided to buy 4 cakes so we could try both the 'original' and 'chocolate' flavours. I'm glad I bought 4 cakes because when I went to pick them up I couldn't believe how tiny they are! I mean ... they are teeny tiny little cakes - they are not suitable for 2 people! They honestly looked like a dessert you would buy at a school cafeteria - I hoped they would taste better than they looked but we were all disappointed. We all agreed that they were bland and almost tasteless. They are not sweet at all and really the 'original' flavour and 'chocolate' almost tasted exactly the same - flavourless. Four tiny cheesecakes cost over $24 and that is absolutely fine - if they were fabulous - but these weren't even good. Sadly, I won't be ordering any japanese cheese cakes in the future. I give one star for the dessert, and the extra star is for the ease of on line ordering.
