Hyper-local.
So
delicious.
So
deliciously
queer.
I
don’t
even
know
where
to
begin
raving
about
this
local
gem.
I
first
experienced
the
joy
of
Smack
Dab
when
they
were
a
tiny
pop
up
donut
vendor
in
a
bar
on
Sunday
mornings.
When
they
set
up
a
permanent
location
two
blocks
from
home,
I
knew
my
wallet
would
never
be
the
same.
When
I
moved
from
Rogers
Park
to
the
‘burbs,
I
found
lots
of
good
alternatives
but
nothing
quite
compares
and
I
still
make
the
20
minute
drive
regularly
not
only
for
the
donuts
but
also
the
joyful,
queer,
welcoming
atmosphere.
Smack
Dab
feels
like
home,
in
all
the
best
ways.
The
donuts
are
special
in
a
way
I
can’t
actually
describe
so
just
go
get
some.
(And
they’re
vegan?!)
The
Life-Changing
Breakfast
Sandwich
isn’t
on
the
menu
anymore
but
it
truly
changed
my
life
(Onion.
Jam.
Chive.
Bar.
Mayo.).
All
the
food
is
super
tasty,
and
there
are
lots
of
vegan
AND
gf
options.
Sitting
on
the
patio
in
the
sunshine
surrounded
by
pride
flags
year-round
is
an
amazing
way
to
spend
a
morning.
They
support
local
nonprofits
with
a
percentage
of
sales.
If
you
visit
once,
you’ll
be
delighted.
If
you
visit
regularly,
you’ll
be
recognized
and
feel
loved.
If
you
follow
them
on
instagram,
sometimes
there’s
a
cute
baby.
So
go
get
your
coffee
and
a
donut
and
support
an
amazing
local
business.
You
will
not
regret
it
for
a
second
(unless
you’re
dieting
but
that’s
bad
for
your
health
anyway,
so
go
to
Smack
Dab
and
save
yourself)!
