An amazing dining experience! This husband and wife duo run this restaurant by themselves. The space is cozy and spacious. There were 5 savory dishes packed with flavor and beautifully plated. The desserts were fresh and delicious too. I wish I could buy a huge tub of the Amazake ice cream!! Great place to have a special celebration, book in advance because they can only serve 10 people a night. It’s a pricy meal but well worth the price and still at a good value compared to other fine dining restaurants in Berlin. I left super full. Would love to come back!!

If I could give this restaurant and the experience more stars, I would. This was one of the most special dining experiences I’ve ever had and I consider myself to be a true foodie and have eaten all over the world. My fiancé and I went here to celebrate our engagement and it was the perfect place for that. We had an amazing bottle of Grauburgunder. Incredible half bottle of a Shiraz merlot blend. Shot of Nikka from the Barrel. And a lovely glass of sparkling moscato, compliments of the house for our celebration. We had 7 courses, each one of them so perfect I can’t even believe it. Including 2 desserts! Perfect tastes. Portion. Sauces. Presentation. 100% perfection. The restaurant is so beautiful! Even the bathroom! We had a front row viewing of the kitchen as well and got to watch everything be prepared. Jazz playing in the background. The chef and his wife were extremely friendly and inviting. I can’t wait to come here again. Do not waste another second, go and make a reservation NOW!

Went here with my girlfriend for her birthday and we were impressed by the food, sake and gins we had. Very good value and quality for money (they go everyday to Frischeparadies to Garantie the freshest ingredients)

When you enter the restaurant you are warmly welcomed. I haven't experienced what comes next. Seven courses in just over three hours. The combination of traditional Japanese cuisine with European cuisine is very successful. All dishes are very tasty and the way they are presented is a feast for the eyes. The wine was well chilled and both types of gin are highly recommended. Price/performance cannot be beat. It was a very successful evening that definitely needs to be repeated. Many thanks to Michaela and Yuta.

Was a very nice experience overall. I wish seats just were more comfortable for a 3 hour experience. Recommended.

A fantastic dining experience with unique and inventive flavour combinations for each course. The plating is also quite creative and definitely elevate the experience, along with the great service. The chef came out of the kitchen to present some of the dishes and it's really evident that he is passionate about his work. Make sure to make a reservations far in advance (as it is done through email and requires confirmation, rather than being done by phone/online).

It was a real experience! The atmosphere and the place itself is simple (which is a great + for me) but still amazing and cosy. The food was great and sometimes the mix of the flavours was absolutely amazing and unpredictable. I can highly recommend YUUMI for its food, owners hospitality and a great selection of wine. It's a perfect place for a date and friend's gathering.

I discovered YUUMI by chance and I have to say all the 5 star reviews are true! We went with 2 other friends in October and all of us love the food and really appreciate the thoughts and details they put on each dish. We really appreciate that they take their time to answer our questions regarding the source of the ingredients. And when we informed them about our food restriction, they made a change for me without compromising the presentation and the tastiness of the food. I was just blown away by the deliciousness and we had a really wonderful dinner. Thank you for the great food and service. Hope to be your guests soon again!

Not only dishes but also drinks, style, service and atmosphere are so lovely. Always serving with fresh and new taste made by a well experienced chef’s idea. If you have a special guest to invite, definitely make a reservation here and just go without doubt.

Incredible experience altogether. The food was beyond words, really fresh ingredients and amazing cooking. The service is a 10/10. The restaurant is owned by husband and wife. He cooks and she takes care of the tables. They serve you with unparalleled kindness. The atmosphere is cozy, simple and well decorated. They told us that they buy the ingredients that same morning and create a daily menu based on the fresh ingredients they found. Definitely recommended. 🥢

Wow, an amazing place! Off of the path , but it’s beautifully unassuming. Husband and wife team, extremely friendly and personable , welcoming service. Food was incredible , chef is very talented , bringing in elements of Japan, France, of course Germany , and other countries where he has studied . My friends were repeat visitors and the appreciation and gratitude that they displayed to the guests was overwhelmingly unexpected and appreciated, Especially in this fast paced world. Atmosphere was clean, simplistic, quiet . It was a Wednesday evening so not sure how the atmosphere can get on the weekends. It was a lovely experience and I would definitely return for the food and of course, the amazing hospitality. I wish these owners the best of luck with their restaurant and hope they continue to grow.

We had an exceptionally culinary evening in the Yuumi restaurant. Here we cook with a lot of creativity and passion. Every course was a painting and a taste revelation. In a friendly and warm atmosphere, you can spend an unforgettable evening here. Thank you very much, we'll be back! 🙏

The evening here was a wonderful experience. From the stylishly simple but warm ambience to the quiet jazz in the background to the really friendly service, the external setting was perfect, but the main star of the evening was definitely the food. Every single course, every bite was a taste experience. The compositions seemed well thought out and harmonized wonderfully, the aesthetic arrangement was the visual icing on the cake. The ingredients were of excellent quality and the selection of drinks left nothing to be desired. The relationship between the price and the experience offered to us is unbeatable

The previous contact, the welcome on site and the whole evening were super friendly, accommodating and incredibly tasty. All courses are explained in detail, and shortly afterwards you marvel at each course individually and then taste the variety in each dish. Here you eat things that you probably haven't eaten before. :-) The cozy atmosphere also makes it even more pleasant, as it is not a crowded restaurant, but is very clearly designed and focused on the essentials - the courses. Thank you very much for the lovely evening, we will definitely be back!

YUUMI is truly a hidden gem! The resturant is located on a corner of a very nondescript building, where only a small sign in the window gives the resturany away. Inside, however, is a fantastic fusion between japanese and nordic interior which only further enhances the experience. But the food is what sets this place apart. The menu changes every day based on ingredients are avalible and in season, and ususally takes inspiration from serveral different cuisines, but always with japanese in centrum. Tables should be reserved in a week or more in advance, as the resturant only seats 10. Doors open at 18.30, and food is served at 19 on the dot. Do yourself a favour and order the sake pairing when visiting, as that definitely completes the experince. All in all, a perfect place for cosy, japanese-ish fine dining. We will be back again!

Yuta and Michaela were excellent and accommodating hosts and the passion for both the food and their guests was invigorating. Excellent and honest seasonal Japanese omakase menu, with fresh ingredients, crafted into an interesting (and super tasty) Japanese fusion experience. Definitively recommended!

Every course was beautifully presented and tasted equally as good. The interior was beautiful, I loved the lighting, the tasteful decor, the restaurant was super clean, the toilet was huge and impeccable. We had amazing evening, the owners were friendly, incredibly tentative and knowledgeable about the food they served. It was conveniently located near my home but I can appreciate it might be out of the way for most people. Despite being situated in a residential area and off the beaten track I highly recommend making the effort to experience YUMMI. I would argue this was the best food I have eaten in Berlin by a long mile. My girlfriend is a fussy eater no; olives, fish, capers, peas...the list is long, but she was open and tried everything and enjoyed everything, testament to the quality of the food.

Food was outstanding, some of the best in Berlin. The couple who run the restaurant are obviously passionate about what they do And it shows in the service and the food. Enjoyable evening and nice to walk away from a tasting menu full!will definitely return

👍 The queue can get really long in a very short amount of time. We were lucky and waited for about 5 minutes before placing our order.
