Modo is great all around ! I can’t say enough about this wonderful establishment. I recommend all classes but if you get a chance to attend Yara’s class she’s amazing. Pure light and love !

I've been going to Moksha for 4 years now. The studio has a nice range of hot, reg temp, pilates and barre classes. I love how there's always a new class to try or a workshop to attend. The teachers are friendly, the staff is helpful and the community Moksha Uptown has created is fantastic.

As both a long time student and energy-exchanger at Modo Yoga uptown, I can say with wholeheartedness that Modo has provided me with more calmness, community, and grace in my life. Classes are not only therapeutic and grounding, but give me a space to centre myself and keep my body fit among like-minded individuals. The space is clean and clear, the staff are talented and open, and the location is the most convenient. I am grateful to have Modo a staple in my weeks and days and look forward to growing my workout and community practise with them.

Modo yoga uptown is my favourite yoga studio of the last 30 years. It is the combination of incredible teachers, a beautiful space that looks out to trees, a full class schedule of Yin, hatha and modo and power. The studio at Roxborough and Young is a community of positive energy and joy.

Yoga instructor Marla is an absolute expert. Her class brings the perfect balance of flow, strength, breath and relaxation. She knows what to say and when to say it, guiding the class through seemingly effortless transitions and into a deeper practice.

I started going to Moksha in December after taking a break from yoga for several years. I wanted to focus my practice on relaxation and mindfulness - Moksha certainly didn't disappoint. I've really enjoyed their restorative and yin classes. The teachers are great, the facilities are spacious and clean and the customer service is very responsive. I took advantage of the intro class offer and received a two week extension because I wasn't able to fully take advantage of the pass. I will definitely renew my pass once it's finished.

I can't say enough positive things about the Moksha Uptown location. The class schedule is quite diverse (there is truly something for everyone every single day) and there are many classes offered throughout the day. The yogis are very knowledgeable and approachable. They are eager to adjust you and make sure that you get the most out of your practice but are respectful of the fact that some attendees would prefer not to be touched/adjusted (and they always ask for one's preference in advance). The studio is spotlessly clean and very peaceful. The rooms are quite spacious and airy and I have never felt claustrophobic or as though the room was overcrowded. My practice has developed considerably in a short period of time and I eagerly anticipate my next class as soon as the current one ends. I highly recommend Moksha Uptown!

I love Moksha Uptown and think it's one of the best yoga studios in the city. As soon as you walk in the door, you feel relaxed and in a great environment to practice yoga. The change room is clean, bright, and welcoming. The instructors are all fantastic, putting their own spin on how they lead the class, but yet maintaining consistency based on the class type. The studios all have great natural light which make them a beautiful space to practice in. I highly recommend checking it out for your next yoga class.

They allow very sick people in a steamed hot yoga room. There was a sick woman in the class, but I mean sick with a bunch of tissues by her mat blowing her nose and coughing a lung out. They refused to ask her to leave so I left. I have a 2.5 month old so this is not a safe place for me. What’s the point of having a policy a policy asking sick people not to attend if there’s not enforcement?

Cozy, welcoming space offering a variety of classes from vinyasa to yin to HIIT. The teachers are lovely, and I appreciate how engaged the are in classes, helping us modify poses and ensuring everyone is comfortable.

Coming from someone who used to do yoga and came back to it after a few years (and I mean years) this place is great! They are so welcoming and very helpful. The teachers are supportive and help you grow according to your own journey. I began with a $60 unlimited intro pass (which is a great way to try all the different classes they offer!) and just purchased a ten class pack. I feel stronger as I continue to grow and learn . I look forward to continuing my growth and personal journey with Moksha Uptown Yoga. Cheers! Sarah

👍 Update 3 - 1 Year & 8 Months later (Sept 2023): Updating back to a 4-star. Leaving previous updates up for context. While I was peeved at the price increase - in retrospect, the way they did it was probably the most fair to the overall membership base and with inflation the way it played out. I thi...

😐 I bought the 75$ intro package to try out the studio and am unfortunately not super impressed. Although the staff are super friendly and there seems to be a sort of community within the studio, the amenities and classes do not quite hit the mark. There is no water fountain, despite this being a HOT...

😠 My first visit to Yogatree was less than ideal. While I was looking forward to a relaxing experience, I encountered a situation that left me feeling uncomfortable. During the class, I attempted to assist my girlfriend with a yoga pose, but the instructor, Johnny, responded in a way that made me feel...
