We came to celebrate my wife's birthday. Great atmosphere - we had a two person table with overstuffed chairs. The service was outstanding. We started with the brussel sprouts, which were very savory & tender. I had the duck breasts - very tasty, & my wife had the scallops with risotto. My wife said the risotto was as good as the scallops. Overall it was a great dinner! We'll be back.

Romantic atmosphere, delicious food, excellent drinks - everything I’ve heard it was and more! I cant wait to come back! We had the duck breast, chicken with brandy sauce and the fanciest grilled cheese ever! We also had the Red tide, old fashioned, and an espresso martini 🍸 We went for my loves birthday and it was just splendid. I am simply over the moon for over the moon cafe!

We ventured out for the first time in months. Over the Moon deserves its high rating. We had ribeye, duck, bisque, a bread-n-cheese appetizer, wine and a very tasty cocktail. Very intimate setting with low lighting -nice. Attentive, friendly and helpful server. Good location in the general theater district on “Opera Alley”, and overall a wonderful night out. We will be back for sure !

While I rarely order a chicken dish at a fine restaurant, I took a chance (well, it’s Over the Moon Cafe, so you’re really never taking a “chance” with any of their menu items) and ordered the Chicken Cacciatore. It was the Rosemary Polenta that enticed me. It did not disappoint! There was such a wonderful combination of flavors in this dish! I was so glad I ordered it and highly recommend it. We started with the Chevre & Beets which was delicious, and then had the Crab Bisque which was wonderful! The service was excellent as well - prompt and timely, but never intrusive or overbearing.

This was probably one of my most favorite dates yet. Let's just start at the ambience. This is really fine dining in an intimate way. I loved how cozy it felt inside. There were even roses and rose petals on my table. We started with drinks and let me just say wow. I got a drink similar to the lemon drop and my partner ordered red wine. We were both extremely pleased with our drinks. We got this crab either soup or bisque and it was top notch. It definitely had real crab meat chunks in there and the flavor was magnitude. Then to pur entrees. We're both Pescatarians so I ordered the shrimp and she ordered the salmon. It came with veggies and mashed potatoes. I can not lie when I say everything tasted sooooo delicious and fresh. You can tell the food is really made from scratch and they use premium ingredients. Even the ice cream that came out tasted as if someone was back there churning it. If you are looking for a fine dining experience with food that actually taste incredible and a portion size bigger than just 1 leaf on a plate then I highly recommend this place. 10/10 for everything. The food, service, and ambience was superb.

This place is so romantic, intimate, & unique. The food is sooo delicious 🤤!! My husband & I had our anniversary dinner here & we loved it. Our waiter & the staff were so friendly & attentive. They decorated our table with roses & a cute card. It was so perfect. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. I recommend this place for couples. It’s perfect for date night & anniversaries.

First time here, but won't be our last. Arrived right at opening, and was seated right away. We split the cheese and bread appetizer. I forget what it is called specifically, but to our pleasant surprise it was much more substantial than we expected: basically a massive grilled cheese sandwich, with gruyere as the cheese on excellent bread, and I think toasted with parmesan on the sides. This would qualify as a meal on its own: gooey, buttery goodness. We then shared the salmon, and the shrimp pasta. Both were excellent! Definitely will have to come back. Great atmosphere for a date spot as well

The duck meat was very dry, and the seasoning did not cover the fishy smell of the duck. It was undercooked in the middle, that makes the duck smelling really bad. It’s hard to cook duck perfectly soft but not with smell but did except they did a better job with this price. the pickle was very salty, and the mashed potatoes were basically the level of home-made mashed potatoes. The pasta was so soft it didn't taste like fresh pasta, like an overnight product, even though I knew it wasn't. The seasoning is also average. The bread and jumbo shrimp before the meal were of good so I was expecting better taste, unfortunately I was disappointed by the two entrees. The service was great and offered to replace the duck, but I thought it was a matter of basic seasoning and cooking techniques, so I didn't accept it.

Allie (Sp?) was a lovely wait person. We came for Valentines Day and the romantic atmosphere did not disappoint. You do have to go downstairs to a hallway to wait if you arrive early and it's not the most comfortable place to wait so I suggest arriving right at your reservation time. The espresso Martini was incredible! 10/10. We started with the Lemon Gnocchi and the sauce was the BEST cream sauce I have ever eaten in my life. Pass on the arugula salad, it was okay but could have been more substantial. My medium rare steak was cooked to PERFECTION, seasoned well and very warm (which is rare at most restaurants when you order medium rare). The "lasagna" was also incredible. I have some digestive issues so we ordered the AIP Paleo dessert and it did not disappoint. If you're a texture person the creamy mouth feel of this coconut butter based dessert was such a satisfying experience. Also highly recommended the Criss Cross petite sirah, we will be buying a bottle of this if we can find it at total wine. It was perfectly balanced and smooth, a good wine for those who prefer a lighter red.

On Google it said that it served vegan dishes, so we checked it out. Unfortunately there were no vegan dishes on the menu at this time. BUT, the amazing chef and staff at over the moon came up with a vegan dish just for me because they wanted to make sure I was fed! The chef came up with a portobello pasta that was so dang good! Our experience there just fit the atmosphere of the restaurant so perfectly. Thanks again to the chef and staff at Over the Moon for feeding this vegan girl 😄.

My husband reserved a table for our one year anniversary celebration. What a lovely experience. We appreciated our waitress and enjoyed trying new cocktails. Crab bisque and jumbo shrimp to start were delicious. My husband had the steak, I had the pork bolognese... we were both extremely happy with our selections. Although stuffed, we opted to venture out of our norm and try the paleo/vegan dessert and were pleasantly impressed. Highly recommend and likely to return.

Very good! Food was awesome and service was great! (Waitress was Dani) only complaint was the lack of parking that is Tacoma. If you get the shrimp small plate, save your bread to dip. So phenomenal!

Wow! The food was unbelievable! I had the scallops and rissoto. Every bite was delectable! Just looking at the picture again makes my mouth water! My husband had the duck. We also had the brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Wonderful ambience, very romantic. Small boxes on each table with notes, mostly love notes from previous diners. So special! Our meal was just over $100 but worth it for a special occasion.

Sometimes food is delicious because you're hungry, but at Over the Moon, food is delicious because it is so well made. The risotto and scallops were phenomenal. Also, cheers for a selection of gluten free items, and a waitress who could speak confidently to other allergens in the restaurant. I'm hard to feed, but she treated it easy.

Food was great, dessert was great, service was great, we got a steak and short ribs ragu and they were fantastic, portion size on the steak was very large, the pasta portion was a little smaller than expected once I saw the size of the steak. The dessets we got were the turtle pie and peanutbutter chocolate crustless pie (can't remember exactly the name) and they were beyond good. We will definitely be back.

Amazing spot to have an anniversary or celebration dinner. They really go all out for their guests. I tried duck for the first time here and I was blown away, and the steak is amongst the best steaks I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place for couples on a romantic night out

OMG! I live 2 blocks away for 17 years and missed out. Im so glad I had this experience, and I WILL be back. Im a foodie & willing to spend $$ for good food. I absolutely loved the cute atmosphere; comfy chairs, low lighting, & clean. Service: The 3 waitstaff we interacted with were so knowledgeable, quick, and pleasant. Food: The first thing was the freshness, great fresh ingredients, my meal was hot, oooh tasted like great homemade food. Not too salty, not bland(no one is afraid to season the food) amazing!! I started with a drink, "That's No Moon" GREAT!!! Then, the "Shrimp" starter, perfect!! On to the "Wedge Salad" marvelous!! The star of the show "Short Rib Ragu" served temp hot, just like it should be, you can tell it wasnt sitting under a heat lamp!! Ohh, good!! We finished with the bread pudding, best ever, hot and sweet!! I will be adding Over The Moon Cafe on my list of places to bring my guest, no longer need to head up north for a classy dinner.

I’ve been wanting to eat here since before the pandemic but it just hasn’t worked out. We finally made reservations to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year and they did not disappoint. It was, as they say, everything I dreamed of and more. The food and wine were delicious, the ambience unique, and the service on point. The duck breast I had here was 10x better than at Canlis. Highly recommend!

Great place with superb food and atmosphere. Not really a place if you like solitude or privacy because you are pretty cozy to the people at the adjacent tables. Food is pretty simple and delicious. It seems the steak was very popular when we were there but I had the 2 duck breast dinner which was made perfectly but my husband had the Cioppino which was barely edible. The Cioppino was super salty and actually made him sick after eating for 2 days afterwards. I felt bad for him after I tasted it but he's not one to complain and tried eating it as he didn't want to ruin our anniversary dinner by making a complaint. We did also order the Jumbo shrimp sauteed in white wine and butter sauce and the Cheesy roasted brussel sprouts with shallots as starters that were very pleasing.

I enjoyed everything about this experience! From the staff, to the table decor, to the FOOD! They include really nice touches for special occasions. Probably one of the best prime ribs we've ever had and succulent duck breast. It was a great way to spend date night.
