We were a large party so a little bit of a wait. The sodas are all corn syrup free which is really nice. I tried the dinghy of chowder and it was delicious! The bread is amazing. I had the stuffed salmon and it was really good. Also did an order of deviled eggs because why not. I would recommend giving them a go.

Point Ruston is such a cute place to visit when you’re in the Tacoma area. On a weekend fun day with my mother-in-law we ended up at Dukes Seafood. It’s a perfect place to take a less adventurous crowd or a crowd that’s interested in getting something that’s cute but cliché Northwest. The menu had a lot of options and different shareable appetizers. They also had fun cocktails. It was super crowded on a weekend afternoon so keep that in mind. The service was sweet and quick. Huge fish tacos, one will fill you up and orders come with a bread basket.

Amazing food with an amazing view. I came here with my mom and aunt and we wanted to try everything so we got 4 different small plates and we loved ever bite. My favorite was the prawn and avocado. Highly recommend! We had a super friendly waitress and the bartender also checked in with us a few times. Great experience.

Delicious clam chowder!!! We were visiting friends in Tacoma and they highly recommended Duke’s. Friendly service, cute decor, clean bathrooms and the location is great! We were craving clam chowder and it was one of the best clam chowder that we have ever had! They bring you sourdough bread and butter. We also ordered steam clams and they were also delicious! I highly recommend Duke’s!!

We planned a visit to this location earlier and arrived during the busy time. We decided to sit in the exterior seating area which was actually better for our group than the interior seating area. We ordered a variety of items from the menu. Each of the items were of good quality and taste. The wait staff primary, Emily, was on point and moving quickly to get out order out to us hot.

Beautiful dinner spot out on the balcony if it's nice weather. The service was great, very friendly staff. Food was delicious, I got a blackened salmon pasta dish with a cream sauce that tasted similar to Alfredo, it was amazing. I forgot to take a photo until I ate half of the salmon but it was all perfectly seasoned and salmon wasn't too blackened, it was full of flavor. You get delicious warm sourdough bread with butter for the table. The world famous clam chowder was worth getting, very flavorful, go for the small, it's not much so the dinghy would probably leave you wishing you had a few more bites.

Great atmosphere with very attentive staff. The food was really good and while it is on the expensive side it's definitely worth it. The booths were pretty small but decently comfortable. The waitstaff was very clean cut and looked well. Our server did a walk of the menu and told us about their sustainable fishing practices. Very nice and will come again.

The service is classy just like the restaurant. The crab cakes were out of this world! The cod was crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. Everything had tons of amazing flavor!

10 out of 10. Amazing tasting Halibut, location out on the water was really nice. Great view of mt Rainier. Area was nicely decorated and the staff was professional and friendly. Best tasting sea food so far in the Pacific Northwest.

First and foremost if you visit ask for Wade! His service was exceptional! He really took good care of us and made us laugh and feel comfortable. The food is amazing here. I come here every time I visit town. My favorite is the Ragin' Cajun chicken corn chowder. The views of the bay are amazing.

Big portions, delicious. Try the crab cakes! Went here after diving Les Davis. They have their own parking lot with plenty of spots (at least in the afternoon). The food was delicious and the crab cakes were amazing with the aoli sauce. My wife got the unforgettable sea cod fish tacos and the portions was huge. 1 taco would have been enough but 2 was awesome.

Classic restaurant on the waterfront in Tacoma. Great service on a very busy day with every table occupied. First class food including free chowder for veterans. I had the Parmesan halibut which was cooked to perfection. Served with lovely “little red fingerling potatoes” garnished with capers. This is not an inexpensive place to dine but, it is well worth it. Dukes has been around for over 40 years and offers an e-mail club which provides substantial discounts. I am joining today! If you like seafood. This is your go to place. Loved it.

Love the chowder here and the views. Heaters on the patio make for comfortable seating outside. Chowder in sourdough bowl was delicious and I’d order it again. My dinning partner had lobster chowder and unfortunately what lobster pieces were small. Complimentary sourdough bread was delicious but the butter was hard and not softened for easy spreading. Overall Dukes as always been consistently good and we’ll continue to return.

Best food I have had in Tacoma. I had the Cajun chicken chowder and prawns. They have a sweet twist on blueberry lemonade. Every bite was absolutely delicious! I topped it off with the Brownie cookie for dessert.

Long lunch wait on a sunny and beautiful Saturday in early Spring. Checking in at 1:25 PM we waited 40 minutes for an indoor table for 3. Service, view, food and drinks were great (as usual). The fresh sourdough bread starter is perfect. The sampler of chowders is delicious. Each of our halibut entrees were delicious, as was the mixed grill uncake meal. Fresh and bright cocktail selection. Duke's just never disappoints!

Wade was our server and he was absolutely incredible. You could tell he loved his job and was so kind to us. We were celebrating Veterans day with my husband and got the gnocchi special. He offered a free bowl of chowder for his service and the food was incredible. Everything came out in a timely manner. We made a reservation beforehand and requested a seat by the window and it was a very beautiful view of the water. :) will definitely come back

Food: we had the classic chowder (my best ever) and the blackened tacos. Both were uniquely delicious. Service: Maddy was so welcoming and insightful Atmosphere: the patio outside provides a great view of the bay

Was visiting Tacoma for the first time and enjoyed a great lunch at Duke’s on a fall Saturday. I couldn’t decide on what clam chowder to get so went with the trio sampler of clam, lobster and seafood. All were excellent. A hearty, warm bread bowl was brought to the table. We were greeted at the front and seated by the window to enjoy an expansive and impressive view. Our server was polite and friendly. I look forward to returning.

We enjoyed a very nice meal on our visit in the area. Sat on the waterfront and enjoyed the view. Service was quick, friendly and parking was plentiful. Ample seating both indoors and out. Plenty of appetizer, meal and beverage selections. Reasonable prices for the area.

Could eat everything on the menu! We had two different halibut dishes that were excellent. Good portions, delicious fish, nice service, and even lovely views with porpoises and seals out the window! Pretty packed on a Sunday afternoon but there was room for two. Would definitely recommend!

Celebrated my birthday at Duke's. Appreciate the nice email birthday greeting. Had the fish tacos, and they were excellent! The blackberry cobbler was very good also. The service was great. The view was also very beautiful!

We went to Duke's for lunch on my birthday, we had a 1:30p reservation and the parking lot was packed, however, we did find a spot. From the time we entered and mentioned our reservation to the time we left, the experience was GREAT! Every employee that we came in contact with was so friendly and welcoming. Our server was so nice! We sat outside, it was a beautiful day. The food was excellent, we shared a large bowl of clam chowder and we each had the crab cake sandwich. No complaints whatsoever, the sandwiches were delicious and the sweet potato fries were great as well. We ordered drinks and they were solid as well. I highly recommend Duke's! Great place, great people, great food, great views.

Darby was the bartender working the night I was there and was really kind. She explained the menu. I love the fact you can try a small sample of their famous chowder without having to get a cup or bowl. The Thai Halibut was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The best preparation I have had of fish in a really long time. The staff in general were so kind. EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER LOOKED AT EACH GUEST AND SMILED. They held the door, they stood in place while letting guests pass by. These days so many places (especially larger restaurants like this one) seem so rushed. They don’t care about the menu or food items. NOT THIS PLACE. Darby helped me with the drink selection, food section. The manager walked behind the bar and looked up to say hello and thank you for coming in. I was very impressed with this place!! Thank you for making me have a really nice experience in Tacoma!

All I can say is wow, wow, wow. From our first drink order to our final dessert and everything in between it was a wonderful meal. Their sourdough bread is amazing. Had a nice soup and salad, up sizing the bowl of chowder. Our server was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Presentation was great and the food needed no seasoning. Finished our meal off with a Marianne Berry pie, oh my.

We came during a busy Saturday for lunch after visiting the park. 30 minute wait for table seating BUT they were able to accommodate us immediately at the bar (even though neither of us drink alcohol), which was much quieter and away from the families. The food and staff (particularly the woman behind the bar, who could run laps around a cheetah) are absolutely delightful, and made for a cute, relaxing date day. Excellent vibes in the restaurant overall. Food is super tasty - highly recommend the soup, crabcake sandwich, and sweet potato fries. They have various flavors of tasty lemonade. My favorite part is that we got to take a couple of recipes home. I cook a lot, so these have been added to the rotation of weekly recipes. <3 Many thanks.

Excellent seafood, staff and service! I've been a regular at Dukes for about 7 years now. It's a great local spot with friendly service and excellent food. Super high standards that match my own, it's a regular stop for me when family and friends come in from out of town as well as a place to chill on my own. Make sure you check out their happy hour, seven days a week from 3-6 pm as well as 9pm- close. Regular portions, same high quality, at a discount! Come to Dukes, you won't be disappointed!

Fresh and tasty said my palette! Our salads were fresh, with good veggies and mine with scallops and shrimp (in addition with my favorite, avocado). Those fried Cod tacos though were a hit! They're not on the menu, but they were willing and able - great creation indeed. Thanks for frying my sweet potato fries crispy like I like I them!

They open on heavy snow day where no place open. Thank you for food. The rib is so yummy and save our day but the 3 ⭐ because I order Large 17 oz soup but they give me 12 oz. I don't want to drive back on snowy road.

Soooo good!!! I always forget to take pictures of the food, but have to show the beautiful view we had from our table. It was absolutely lovely. Our server was amazing. She was personable and helpful with drink suggestions. Her cheerful friendliness added to the enjoyment of our meal. Started with a cup of yummy clam chowder. It's very good, but may be a little peppery for those who are sensitive to that. It was almost too much for me, but it was too good not to eat it all! My husband added more pepper to his, so it all depends on personal taste. I ordered the Duke's Favorite Pasta with lightly blackened Wild Alaskan Salmon, and it was incredibly delicious. The salmon had a perfect golden brown crisp to the top and was juicy and flavorful. The pasta was creamy and such a great compliment to the salmon. We throughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend giving it a try if you've never been. They also give you a recipe that you can enjoy trying at home!
