We've been going running, walking, hiking, playing with our dogs, picnicking, had multiple birthday parties and family gatherings for over 20 years. It also happens to be an oasis at times for relaxation. I would recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all, there are many hiking areas surrounding the lake, plus miles of concrete pathways. Kayaking, boating, fishing, paddle boarding, you can do it all. My only complaint is no swimming, but, I understand because of the undertow from the dam area, it's extremely dangerous. Otherwise, it's near perfect when the weather is nice!

Good place to take pictures, always see a lot of photographers here. Got my sons senior pictures take here and turned out great!! We finally walked across the walking bridge which was cool. As for fishing... I'm not a fan of this lake. The boat dock is horrible, always has been! I'd give 4 stars for the scenery (lots of trash on the trails because people suck!), 0 stars for the boat dock and fishing and 5 stars for the walking bridge.

Would give a higher rating but the level of trash all over the place was quite disappointing. Need to have some trash cans placed around the trail to make it look more pleasant. Fishing was good and we could a lot of action around the lake.

Standing Bear Lake is really a nice place to go relax and soak in nature and it's wonderful sounds . There are places that you do not hear traffic just nature sounds and watching the geese and gulls on the water. Only thing that could have made this better is if it had been laid out to drive all the way around it. That would have been lovely!

Beautiful! I have kayaked there twice recently. There is a dock and a boat ramp. Is is quiet and peaceful. Lots of people fish along the shore. I think it is no wake. It is smaller but good sized for kayaking. There is a stream to go off on also if it is windy gives a nice option.

Parts are closed down. They are getting closer though. They have done so much. It is looking awesome. Super excited!

Amazing trails! Some were a bit flooded when the snow melted (nowhere to drain) but there's plenty of trail for multiple people walking and cross traffic. Lake seems nice, lots of fisherman during the summer and runners. Beautiful sights

Decent enough fishing areas, plenty of places to picnik and hang out.

This is a beautiful lake and makes for a nice long walk, but it is not a closed loop and you have to walk along 144th on the West side of the lake which is less than pleasant.

Nice park was shocked that the water was not there any more. Nice play area for children also but the sand needs to be picked up and replaced with tar like the other parks
