Omdurman Teaching Hospital was established in 1898 in the Imam al-Mahdi spot to provide health care to the residents of the region. The hospital now receives referred cases from all states of Sudan, as it includes most medical specialties. The hospital also receives emergency cases and injuries free of charge around the clock. The entrance to the hospital from the north side is somewhat confusing because this street is one-way from east to west. May God bless you with good health.

What raises anger is the manipulation of the entry ticket category when visiting, imposing an entry fee of three pounds every hour, and charging six pounds, as if this country does not have a law to play and manipulate the citizen. Where do these amounts go when the hospital is like a ruin? Why are gate guards of the immoral type employed? And social values What causes anger is preventing food from entering the patient, while at the same time there are restaurants inside the hospital. I see that the future of this hospital will fall unless research is conducted and what is happening is not conducted We in the media field do not flatter anyone. We stand and monitor everything, big and small, around you. We are in charge of this hospital. Pay attention to your situation before our pens write down what you ignored and thought was small.

On Friday I felt ill so I went to the emergency department in Omdurman Teaching Hospital. The first doctor I saw asked for my symptoms and directed me to get my lab work done. First issue, in the labs, they ask that you go pay for the lab fees OUTSIDE the hospital. You want a sick person walking all the way to the street to pay some fee? Second, I had to go BUY my own syrange for bloodwork... it costed 3SDG, you people couldn't add that into the lab fees and provided it yourself? After my lab results came back, I went to followup with the doctor, but her shift was done. I came to find two doctors in the room. I present one of them my lab results and they tell me what I have and wrote down medications. After five days of only slight improvement, I decided to check with a new doctor at another hospital. Turns out, I was prescribed the WRONG medication in Omdurmam Teaching Hospital. I have not been able to eat, I vomit everything that goes down my throat! Terrible abdominal pain! Fever and headache! I am never going there again!!!
