(Translated by Google) Vulturul Negru Palace is an emblematic building of Oradea. It is built in the style of the Vittorio Emanuelle shopping galleries in Milan and the Victoria shopping passage in Bucharest. The construction fascinates you as an exterior architecture, and the interior through quality skylights and stained glass. Absolutely gorgeous place. It's close to being kitsch but doesn't break the border. Reminds me of galleries of Milano and Torino, but with that wonderful, crazy art nouveau soul. I couldn't stop staring and taking photos of the place. Inside the palace, there are nice restaurants, pubs, and shops.

A very beautiful building with wonderful architecture. When I pass by I can’t take my eyes out of it. The gallery passing through it is very beautiful also, and there you can stop for a coffee or shisha. Beautiful by day, and beautiful by night!

Unfortunately this spot remains an attraction due to arhitecture, a place where once was full of stores, people coffee shops is now just a passage with 2 coffee shops opened and empty locations..for rent or sales. The black eagle stained glass is a must see in Oradea city center.

(Translated by Google) A matrimonial jewel, a masterpiece with beautiful clean galleries in the center of Oradea. The Black Eagle Palace is the most important building of its style, in Oradea. The building is multifunctional, comprising, at the time of the inauguration, casino, hotel, offices, restaurant, grouped in three asymmetrical bodies. Currently, the building has many clubs, cafes, restaurants and offices, being an important meeting place for the social scene of Oradea. Interesting old passage through the building. Some renovations obviously help. Some of the jokes by various unnamed radio announcers however are not the most positive during holidays as regards tourism.

It’s beautiful, but I thought it’s an actual palace that you can visit. No, it’s just for the architecture and some shops, cafes. You can take a quick walk around here. It’s pretty but can’t be visited.

Landmark of the city, plenty of cafes but not much to do here otherwise, hopefully this will change in the future and more of the building will be exploited I'm rating it 5 for the architecture, when it's sunny and the light falls in through the glass it can feel quite magical

(Translated by Google) The “Black Eagle” Palace is the most monumental architectural achievement in Oradea and Transylvania in the secession constructive style. The story of the “Black Eagle” Palace is related to the new vision of urban development of the city, considering the reorganization of the Small Square (St. Ladislaus Square), today the Union Square. On the site of the current building, located in the eastern corner of the main square, at the intersection of Independenței Street and Unirii Square (then Kossuth Street and Little Square), there was, in 1714, a ground floor place, the inn "Eagle" or "City Brewery" . The old inn hosted most of the important public events in the city: balls, gatherings, theater troupe performances or political events. At the beginning it was a small building with three rooms in which the City Hall functioned until 1861. In 1807 it was rebuilt, extended and multi-storey, and after another modification, in 1835, it became an important hotel in the city. contest In 1903, the mayor's office decided to launch a competition for projects to rebuild the Vulturul Hotel, following a study by József Kőszeghy, the city's chief engineer. The projects for the competition had to be submitted by September 30, 1905. 13 projects were submitted, three of which were awarded: the first prize of 1600 crowns was won by the project codenamed "Champagne", by the architects Dezső Jakab and Marcell Komor. Marcell Komor (1868-1944) and Dezső Jakab (1864-1932) were two of the most important representatives of the Hungarian secessionist current initiated by Ödön Lechner. The two architects opened an architecture office in Oradea in 1897 which functioned until 1918. They had numerous projects, orders, winning several competitions. They drafted several variants of similar projects for the Black Eagle complex, which have the same concept of functionality, planimetry, but with some changes related to the organization of spaces, design of facades and decoration of interior spaces: the first variant, in 1905, the second in 1906, the third in 1907, the last variant in 1908. Depending on the successive projects, the way of decorating the facades knew several variants. According to the project from 1907, the building is treated in a baroque manner, being flooded with floral elements. The project published in 1908 presents the facades almost identical to those made but with richer ornamentation, with floral decorative elements, curvilinear, eagles and human silhouettes. The ornamental building is more restrained. A wide range of ornamentation is used from the top of the roof to the ground floor.

(Translated by Google) I accidentally walked in there and was very surprised as somehow from the outside the building doesn't seem to be what it is. Very nice art deco shopping arcade. Maybe a little too modest inside, but I guess I'm clinging too much. It is a pity, however, that there are so few tenants inside, which makes the center a bit empty. However, there are several eateries, so I recommend dropping by here in the summer, feasting your eyes, and relaxing in one of the cafes or restaurants.

The inner passage, covered with glass, is one of the city's attractions. Rightly so, as it is very beautiful, but quite sparsely populated with locals (possibly due to the pandemic).
