Wow! In the museum you can find the edition of the magazine in which Eminescu's first poem was published. He is the one who changed his name from Mihail Eminovici. There is so much valuable information here. In addition, many of the exhibits are original. There is even a white terracotta stove, something you rarely see. A ticket is 5 lei, a magnet 15. I highly recommend!

Opened in the fall of 1964, in the house where Iosif Vulcan and his wife Aurelia lived, a building where the editorial office of the Familia Magazine also worked, between the years 1897-1906. The exhibition is enriched and reorganized in September 1965, on the occasion of the magazine's centenary. The museum benefited from two important restorations, in 2000 and 2014. The building, with only a ground floor and a basement, is not a sumptuous one, and the museum is arranged in 4 rooms, a 5th being used for temporary exhibitions. The first room presents the life and work of Iosif Vulcan, the other 3 rooms exhibit objects (furniture, carpets, vases, photographs, etc.) that belonged to the family. In the place of honor is the restored copy of the magazine Familia from February 25/March 9, 1866, in which the young Mihail Eminovici, from Chernivtsi, debuted with the poem "De-aș avea", being "baptized" by Iosif Vulcan: Eminovici becomes for eternity Eminescu. Who was Joseph Vulcan really? What did Familia magazine mean for Romanian literature? What is the mark he left on the history of our people? You can find out the answers to these questions with a visit to the Iosif Vulcan Museum, where you will be greeted with friendliness and warmth.

Although I received a free code with the help of which I was supposed to be able to visit all the museum sections that belong to the Crisurilor Museum, the person responsible for tourist access to the Iosif Vulcan Memorial Museum did not allow me to use the code, because this practice does not would still be relevant. Although I asked him to inform himself in this direction, because I had previously visited 2 other museums (Ady Endre and Aurel Lazar) he refused and invited me to pay the entrance fee. For those who want to use only the free code, I advise you to exclude this museum from your itinerary.

The memorial museum was located in the house where Iosif Vulcan lived. I participated (January 2021) in a conference about the man of culture from Bihor, I visited the rooms with original furniture, I read the exhibited documents, I saw the showcases with the series of the magazine Familia, I remembered the pages where the young Mihai Eminescu made his debut, back then Eminovici. All the rooms of the museum have kept the air of those times, carrying us and transposing us in the Oradea of those times.

(Translated by Google) In: The quality is horrible, you'll sit around listening to neverending stories full of personal opinions and frustrations, without any real purpose. The guide has some mental issues, that's for sure. Ro: The experience is horrible, it is a guide with some frustrations that throws around with anger and unfounded personal opinions, it gets big and smart, repeats the same things, which destroys the atmosphere. He talks to you about culture, but he hasn't read much, but he has general ideas, like "Philosophy is good." The museum itself is decent, at least it's relatively clean. Foarte interesant Muzeul. Prezintă pe larg istoria revistei Familia, înființată și condusă de Iosif Vulcan. Revista unde Mihai Eminescu a debutat că poet.
