It is beautifully designed. I really like the statue of the unknown soldier as it is very good looking. There are also many chairs which are made big and comfy.

Mess

This is a big park close to our apartment. It is very clean around and it's quiet. It's good to chill here. I like this park.

December 1 square is currently under renovation, so we have to wait for the completion of the works. Before 1989, its name was Augustus 23 park, before that it was called Nagyvásártér. My personal story in relation to the park: They started landscaping in the early 1960s, some of the trees were shorter than me. You had to be very careful about the trees, militiamen (now policemen) were watching day and night. They were under the jurisdiction of companies and schools. The Mayor's Office created a competent group to protect the trees until 1989. I became a pensioner, the trees in the December 1 park have grown. I hope they will take care of them!

Small cute little park in the city center of Oradea. There is a nice small market where to buy hungarian and romanian products: cheese, zacusca, beverages...

Simple, clean and quiet parc located in the city center, with playground for the kids.

The park is ok and its mostly clean. There is a small homeless people presence in the area but not too much of a discomfort. No begging is alowed so that is not an inconvenience.

+ playgrounds, water fountains, snacking area, parking places/tramway nearby, bike rental at the entrance - the pavement could use some improvements (not biking-friendly)

Nice looking park, old style, plenty of benches, no public toilets...

My daily routine allowed to traverse the park in the afternoon in august 2021. The scorching heat and the drought have taken taken their toll on the overall look of the park. Good thing the bigger trees still offer some shade, but i don't think anybody is watering them even occasionally. I did saw two cleaning crews working there, but people do seem to try to keep things clean. I sincerely hope nature can give the park the green tint it needs.

The park has nothing special if to compare with other parks of the same size around the country, of course it is a good place to rest and relax, but when the are no digging, drilling machines, construction teams and noise made by their equipment. Hopefully the trees and green areas will survive the aesthetics rearrangement and upgrade the town hall will made.

I hope they will make this icon a beautiful one in the future. It has plenty of trees but I am kinda hoping they will do more.

Plenty of space for walking, a photogenic fountain, relatively well-maintained alleys, lots of benches and not too many people. A quiet and nice place for a bit of rest. Usually there are several stalls with ice cream or cotton candy. So many flavors that I haven't seen before! So it's worth to go to rest in the shade of the trees, especially since it is not far from the main square of the city - 5-10 minutes on foot.
