Great ambiance for a pub restaurant. Service was fast and the menu was not complicated. Make sure you ask about the daily soup options; go for the salmon chowder if they have it. It is really great! It would be good to have some pasta and more vegetarian options other than salads. There should be at least one more steak option that does not cost over $40. Beers were pretty good. I was surprised to see a homegrown whisky option. Good place to take your family.

Excellent big tap list with exclusive beers only on tap and a nice assortment of unique and reserve series of beers to go in cans and bottles , along with the regular series of beers. If you are visiting and never had Deschutes beer, I would strongly recommend the classic tasting tray, which includes Mirror pond and black Butte porter, classic beers from the mid 80s and still excellent. If you have had Deschutes beers before I would recommend the brewers choice tasting tray which includes a number of draft only beers. Very popular place and can be very busy, but service is great and friendly. Food is above average for a brew pub and is tasty with nice size portions. Parking at the downtown location can be a pain but it is worth it.

Always an amazing experience at this brewery. If you are a first time visitor, go for one of their beer flights and sample it. Their menu keeps changing these days due to supply chain shortage but you’ll always be able to find something that you like. I’ve never had a bad experience in terms of food or service here. The staff is super cheerful and they make good suggestions.

This was my first time eating at Deschutes, and it was incredible. The beer list was an extensive selection of great options. I ordered the Hot Chicken and waffles. Plus, I added bacon. Why? It's bacon. The chicken had a nice kick which was mellowed out by the not-so overly sweet syrup. The waffle did not compete with the chicken but added flavor. I highly recommend it. My friend ordered the Elk Burger and added stout onions. He enjoyed it. The outside seating was a perfect spot as the weather was nice. And our server was very friendly, which made the evening enjoyable.

Great venue for a meal and a drink with a group. Was a bonus that it is open nice and late as not much in the area seemed to. The food was great and a good drink selection. When we went for dinner, they were out of some of the more popular food options. Really enjoyed the special Pride sour beer.

Deschutes Brewery Portland public house is a great place for drinking and eating. I ordered Streak frites. Good taste. Friendly staff. We had some trouble with paying with the QR code in the receipt other than that everything was fine. Definitely recommend this place.

What an amazing place to go for dinner and a beer. If you have not been and you have the opportunity to go you will surely be pleased. If you are a Deschutes drinker try out one of the few brews that you can only get at this restaurant. I got their macaroni and cheese and their IPA that is only at this brewery. The food was really good. Sure to please. The brewery is also very nice looking inside and great for a single person to go and enjoy or with a large group.

I loved this place. The ambiance is amazing. The staff was also super cool and accommodating and chill. What I loved most was the Guava Sour Beer, it might be my new favorite thing 😊 The food was also great, the hummus platter with all veggies instead of pita was the best I've ever had. I highly recommend them

Wow. This place is a feast for the eyes! When you walk in, it feels expansive. Before you even eat, it feels like an experience, not just a dinner out. Before I sat down, I browsed the specialty beers they only sell there. If you like beer shopping, you might spend thirty minutes doing that instead of eating or drinking. I did! I didn't actually eat, but the dishes I saw looked yummy. I sat at the bar and had a barrel-aged imperial stout. Wow. Excellent. They have a great selection of yummy beers on tap. And really, I just loved looking around at everything, like the brewing equipment. Everything was clean (including the bathrooms). This is my kind of place.

The food is pretty good here (the salmon shown here was delicious). The service is inconsistent: excellent one day, neglectful another. The selection of (their own) beers is nice. A big, airy space with big windows that swing open onto the intersection, but parts feel like a cafeteria. Cleanliness is OK.

Like a lot of brewery taprooms in the USA, it's too big and un personal. The beers are OK but missing some of the really good beers that they make. It's still a nice place to grab a beer.

Fun place to hangout and grab a beer and some food. They have some really good local beers especially the IPAs. The homemade sausages and pretzel with cheese are great starters to share. The coho fish was tasty and cooked just right.

We found this place on the list of Top 100 burgers in America; it's #29 on the list. Not sure which burger was in the list, but my partner was not impressed with his Pub burger. They also have gluten free and vegan options available. The patties were thin. I had to have lettuce wrap, because their gluten free bun has egg. I hate lettuce wrap because it becomes very messy when eating. I have allergies to gluten, egg and dairy, so it was my only option. The server was good to check for me though. Overall, we felt it was a very average place.

Late dinner on a Sunday evening. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Wasn’t very crowded during our after-7pm visit. Food was good. I liked how our server said I could change beers if I didn’t like what I ordered. Loved the carvings.

Great atmosphere, great food, and amazing service. Absolutely nothing to complain about. We will definitely be back sometimes when we visit Portland again. And obviously, in a prime location, which makes it even more enjoyable

Every year, my partner always eats here to commemorate her father's death. This year I was invited to join her and it was a very pleasant experience. I have never been here before and I really enjoyed eating the elk burger with garlic fries and having their pretzel with cheese and mustard. Honestly both were pretty delicious and I believe their pretzel was the best pretzel I have ever had in my life. Their drinks are also really good. I left very full and very satisfied. I will definitely come back here again.

Not only does Deschutes have great beer, but they have really good food. It's almost as if it's a restaurant with a brewery and not the other way around. Try all the beers and definitely order the mushroom pasta dish. There is a massive dining room and a large bar area. The wait staff is quick, helpful, and friendly. We had a great day experience and I hope you come here and do too!

What an amazing place to go for dinner and a beer. The food is pretty good here. Loved the salmon and crab. The beers are good too. The service is not good they servers are neglectful. The place is very crowded. The cleanliness is okayish. Would recommend this brewery if in Portland

Cool place, great beer, hip vibe. I ordered a burger and it was good - not great, but good. I was a little disappointed in the fries. I ordered the garlic fries, but ended up with the regular fries. They were also not fresh. It was obvious they were being kept warm for a while. But...this place is worth a visit. Really cool interior, super nice wait staff, and of course, fresh squeezed IPA's. Flawed fries are forgiven. Just go!

This is out favourite brewery, delicious beer and good variety. They have a patio and you can bring your pet. The food is really good too (besides the chicken wings that we hated, the full wings were kind of weird and they covered and barbecue sauce before adding some Buffalo sauce, very weird!). But I had a Blueberry and burrata salad and my husband had the steak and they were delicious. Staff is really friendly too.

My family hadn't been to the Deschutes Brewery location in the Pearl District since pre-pandemic, and we were expecting the usual line and long wait when we went for lunch, but it was nearly empty. This was on a weekday, so I bet the weekends are still busy, but it was nice not to have to wait during this visit. The beers are still solid and the lunch is good -- not blow your mind amazing or full of culinary creativity, just good, solid brewery restaurant grub. The service was good, although a little slow toward the end, considering the place was not very busy. Still a great spot for groups and families!
