I've just stayed in this hotel. It should have been a relaxing holiday, but unfortunately it wasn't. Let's start with the good points: the hotel is rather modern, it's very clean and the food served is excellent, especially the desserts are delicious. Personnel is friendly and helpful. 5 stars for all this. The big negative point this year is the beach, or whatever has left of the beach. Due to storms earlier this year, the sea has 'eaten' the beach. This hasn't been communicated to me by the tour operator. Only after complaining, the tour operator organized a shuttle to a better 'Rimini-style' beach at some kms at fixed times in the morning and afternoon. The tour operator wasn't able to handle the situation (informing guests upfront before arrival), maybe because they are afraid of room cancellations and therefore less revenue?

Simply excellent! Staff are keen to help and food is of a very high standard. This is not a destination for those wanting ' chips with everything'. Freshly grilled fish or meat is available each evening, along with the traditional courses of antipasti and pasta. There is an attempt to cater for those requiring a gluten free diet, but this is a work in progress and a bit ' clunky' in its availability. A simple menu of entertainment is available and a relaxed atmosphere is enjoyed by all the clientele. The standard of cleanliness is exceptional in all areas of the hotel. The guests are mainly Italian, couples and families. The pool is pristine; however if you prefer, the beach is a short walk through a pine forest or you can hop on the Disney style ' train shuttle' which runs frequently to a regular timetable. The beautiful town of Otranto is about 15 minutes drive away. We will return to enjoy another holiday here. Excellent.

the food was mediocre the links to the beach were not really working well as the train causes too much vibrations for the kids to take it and is infrequent at many times the quality of the entertainment was quite low, yoga was old fashioned, kids club non existing they just made them look at a movie which I can do in my room you cannot take a single biscuit from the food hall at breakfast to bring to the room for the kids or you eill be yelled at yoga and similar services were old fashioned all of this dies not conform witg a four star hotel. Everywhere there were guests unhappy of the experience talking about this. We have paid some 4500 euris for 10 days which is 450 euros a day, it is a premium price and did not get a premium experience at all As a reply to the director, who is a valid professional who dedicated attention to our case: - I have said that you had attention the problems to the maximum of your possibilities at the time of the stay. You could not change the personnel in a week nor change the bus you use to bring the guests to the seaside, these are challenges for the next season as you know better than I do. So keeping on complaining was useless at that point, we focused on relaxing. - Also it was pointless to ask you for things that do not really depend on you. The main thing is that this particular hotels markets itself as a 4 star reasonably high end but is far from the beach and mediocre in its design, the food is typical hotel food. In short, it is a 3 star hotel experience and does not deserve 4500 euros for 10 days in my opinion. As the week progressed all we saw were guests complaining in groups of 3 or 4. We did not join such groups, but I think you would have gotten a tough feedback if you attended the check-outs, and I would have provided this feedback in person at checkout if you or anybody else were there to greet us on Monday. Ultimately, you are a very good professional and a caring person but that does not change that the experience that VOI hotels charges for is not the one they provide, so there are many challenges ahead for next season, I think it would be important to lower the price point and the target for a start because everyone of the guests I have been hearing were coming from other VOI experiences (mainly at VOI colonna in Sardinia apparently) and were at VOI Daniela because VOI had acquired their trust in Sardinia but had lost it at VOI Daniela. Nice resort immersed in nature and well maintained. Staff is courteous and helpful. We had a little issue upon arriving but it was quickly resolved (thanks to Gianvito).High hygiene standards in the dining room. Good variety of food.

One of the 4 Star Touristic Village in Puglia region in a Otranto city. There are animation group from Bravo club ( One of the well known group for various entertainment in terms of Sports, games, theater show etc). I came here Alone to spend a week in August and I am very happy to spend and my vacation alone as i am meeting lot of new people !!
