Costco is a surprisingly friendly place. They have great limited selection of quality foods. Brand Kirkland is actually very good: they notoriously control the ingredients and if the product’s packaging says in is Organic, they make sure it consists of organically produced ingredients. We shop for groceries here 99% of the time.

I shopped at Costco Merivale for the first time in a while. We like to shop local. They had two cashiers on, the rest were self-serve. Another big company that should have better customer service. Cutting jobs is definitely not the way to do it. Raise the prices and cutback on employees. Very disappointed. Not a time to be doing this when most are struggling financially. GREED. I will not be renewing my membership.

Costco was good. There's plenty of parking, all be it a little weird to get around. There are lots of carts and the aisles are plenty wide enough to get around. Today was spent mostly in the snack aisle although I did wander around a bit after. Picked up a few other things as well. They have a person directing people to cashiers, but not sure why as it was absolutely packed in there anyway.😁 Bought new tires and installed. That was good.😁

As usual your typical Costco shopping experience. This was my first trip to this location and it’s like any other. I always feel like I’m in the same building no matter where I go 😂 The selection of products is per usual though sometimes they stop stocking certain favourite items of mine and I always wonder when they will bring them back. Being this trip was my first during the covid situation I found some aisles were not available because they were ‘non essential’. Ridiculous! Otherwise I always have an enjoyable experience at Costco. 👍

2023 May 3★ No issues at this Costco. It's really no different from other Costco warehouses. Lots of different products, garden center, gas station outside, food court and tire center. Self checkout available.

Title: Deceptive Pricing and Disappointing Customer Service I recently had a highly frustrating experience at Costco. I noticed a sign advertising a product at $5.99 under the blueberries. Later, I realized this sign belonged to the cabbage item; they had placed the blueberries in the wrong spot, and customers were misled into thinking the price was $5.99 for blueberries. I wasn't the only one; many people encountered the same issue at the Merivale Costco, only to discover at the checkout that the actual price was significantly higher. This blatant discrepancy was not only disappointing but also a clear case of false advertising. To make matters worse, when I brought this issue to the attention of the staff, they showed zero interest in rectifying the situation or compensating me for their mistake. It's incredibly disheartening to feel like a customer is being taken advantage of, and it's evident that Costco prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I'll be seriously reconsidering whether I want to continue shopping at a place that employs such deceitful practices and lacks basic customer service ethics. I strongly urge others to exercise caution when shopping at Costco, as you might find yourself walking out feeling like you've been fooled and undervalued as a customer.

Good store, large gas bar. Parking lot is busy 90% of the time and overflow parking is available but rather far from the entrance. Staff and product selection are reliable but it is an older more medium sized location. Shortfalls of this store are generally due to its location and orientation. The store itself and the staff are great.

Despite this Costco being laid out a bit differently than the one that I'm used to, I found it quite intuitive to find everything I needed. It has an optical eye center, lots of electronics, a large clothing section, toys and books, a pharmacy, and very speedy/friendly cashiers. Although I didn't use them this time, there are nine self-serve checkouts as well. Like most Costcos, there are plenty of protein options in the form of powders bars and shakes. As the Costco closer to where I live has been closed, I am not upset that this will be my new Costco.

Great hot dogs. I didn’t explore much of the store, I only ate at the concession stand. They had some pretty good options that were all very affordable, from pizza to chicken strips to poutines, all looked splendid. I only ate some of the cheese balls they had for sale. The parking lot was busy but still quick to get to from your car.

Went with my cousin to get stuff for a family get-together. Impressive store, lots of variety, good pricing

You people must be serious?!?! $77 for ONE KG of beef? I’m not poor, but even I can’t justify this insane price for meat. Was this cow fed with organic hand picked grass? Costco is becoming disgusting. We started shopping less and less. After 24 years of being a member I think I’m losing an interest in shopping there again.

Oct 6, 2023, around 11:00 am This location is my sister's store. Her and I went shopping for particular items and I was very pleased that they had what I was looking for. Finding the items within the store was a bit tricky as we asked a few different staff members for the location of the Premium Protein shakes. The shake flavours they had were chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. At the cash, we asked the cashier to give us a breakdown of the purchases by giving us a subtotal amount. I settled up with my sister my amount after we left the store. Lots of parking patience is needed. It was great how the majority of clients had made an effort to return their shopping carts to the appropriate area. Busy place probably more so due to the fact it's Thanksgiving weekend. Helpful staff and clean store. Thanks

I had 4 employees assist me with the purchase of my gym equipment from helping me get it onto the cart to helping me get it into my van.. amazing support:)

Great products and prices. Love the free food samples. It was great to try the Greek salad before buying it. Excellent deals on phones and packages, eyeglasses and tires to name a few.

Had many returns to make, and the person I dealt with was extremely friendly and competent. Returns are never fun, but she certainly helped the process along. 😊 My purchases were also processed by friendly & efficient staff, so the overall trip was a big success. Kudos to the whole team! 😁

Good place to buy home groceries in fair prices, couple of cons are; 1- several items comes with no choice to buy in small quantity, like if you need to buy a small tooth paste you have to buy a pack of 3 or else you may buy a family sized one. 2- You need to buy a membership valid for one year to shop from this place. Overall its a nice convenient place for families to shop about everything under one roof.

Staff are amazing! Not only are they pleasant and personable, they go out of their way to find a product or answer a question about one for you. Is it any wonder that Costco is so successful? They have a great retail model that other retailers could learn from. Thanks for the great customer experience! Shout out to the pharmacy as well. I recently had a disappointing experience at Costco that I feel compelled to share. My visit to the store was marred by a misunderstanding regarding the access policy, which resulted in unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. During my visit, I encountered an employee named Walker who refused to allow me entry without a membership. Despite my explanation that I needed to use the food court, pharmacy, and washroom facilities, Walker stood firm in denying me access. It was even mentioned that my parents, who hold a valid membership, were already inside the store, but this did not change the employee's stance. After numerous attempts to convince Walker, I was finally granted access, but not before receiving a warning to have my membership with me in the future. Unfortunately, I later discovered that other customers had faced similar issues at this Costco location. I strongly urge the management of Costco to address this matter promptly. It is crucial for your employees to be well-informed about the access policies, specifically regarding non-members' rights to utilize the food court, pharmacy, and washroom facilities. By ensuring that your staff is knowledgeable about these policies, you can prevent such incidents from occurring and create a more inclusive and customer-friendly environment. I sincerely hope that the management will take immediate action to rectify this situation and improve the customer experience. Clear communication and understanding of the access policies will not only enhance customer satisfaction but also uphold the reputation and success of Costco. This is my favorite location because the store is huge and they always have more items than the other locations. They carry the gym equipment and outdoor equipment that you only see online usually. Plus these items are cheaper in store. The only downside is the parking situation. The lots are always full as everyone practically goes here. Always look for new items in their bakery section. We found these amazing cinnamon buns made by Costco and they are delicious! They always have items going on clearance at really good prices. Managed to find a box of 10 small serving bowls for $12.99!

This place is awesome, it's pricier than some other options but it's worth the price and you certainly get what you pay for. Ingredients on the pizzas are always plentiful and really fresh. You can taste everything. Never under baked and the crust is a really great crisp, a little crunch and chewy. Perfect amount of cheese and sauce. You definitely should try this place!

Costco Merivale is a one stop wholesale store to buy your grocery, Household cleaning stuff, decor and much much more. My most favourite thing is they have free sample testing booths all over the store so that you can sample it before you buy it. Another must try thing is the Costco food court. They have amazing pizza and hot dogs. I would recommend buying the Costco mastercard as they have great cash back offers.

Always love Costco, the store staffs are always friendly and helpful. Justin, the guy helped us on the self-checkout and also worked in the device room, is super nice and kind and friendly and fast! I enjoy every chat with him!

On Sep/27 I received the worst customer services ever from one of the cashier of this location. It has been two weeks since it happened. I was waiting for a formal apology from the store manager but it never came. If you go to this location you have to be ready to receive attitude from the cashiers. It feels that you are not the customer or you are begging them for stuff. The cashier went absolutely above the limits and told me to go and …… myself. I gave not reasons to him for it. I was not being disrespectful or anything, and it was really unexpected. The two managers that came to talk to me were impressed with the situation. I left my information and they told me they were going to contact me on Sep/30. I just asked for a formal apology thinking they were going to show me respect as a customer.

Cesar at the tire Centre has the best customer service I have ever seen. Even tho he was closing was still willing to help out with a flat tire 🙏👌

Always extremely busy, no matter what time or day you go. But they always have the best deals and can always find a fun new item to try. Their pizza and hot dogs are delicious also, and can't beat the prices.
