Our group of guys visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night so it wasn't too busy. Very spacious and clean location, lots of parking and easy access from many main roads. The staff was really friendly and provided an amazing service. The food and beers were quite good and ready fast so we didn't have to wait a long time. The only exception were the peanut butter torte that were average but nothing to put a downer on our experience. Thank you, well be back.

I went to this restaurant several years ago. At that time I had a bad impression because their services were very slow. But this time it's improved much. And I like what I ordered, the wedge salad and bongo flavored beer. The salad having enough energy is a surprise to me, and the beer tastes very nice. And the last but not least, the environment looks comfortable.

This was my second time to Big Rig. The last time was years ago for a group lunch at work that I honestly don't remember. Today I visited as a suggestion from my 25 year old son after being out at a driving range. I was pleasantly impressed. We had a late lunch/early dinner. The full menu was available and covers standard pub fare with their twists of course. For me the atmosphere is reminiscent of Local Heroes. We were 3 and there were no complaints to be had sampling their grilled chicken burger, burger with rings, and fish tacos which were surprisingly good. The only issue was they had run out of alcohol for a cocktail my son ordered... but I won't hold that against them ;)

Food was decent. It took a lot longer than we expected since it wasn’t very busy, granted we went at a perhaps a weird time for lunch (4pm?). Staff were friendly though. I got the fish tacos, which I was initially excited about but were a bit underwhelming. The raspberry soda was good.

I read quotes of negative reviews. Myself and 9 other co workers are literally here now. Our server was Katie whom is only 4 months in. The drinks we all great. 4 different cocktail pitcher's and a few of beer. Apps were all great too myself and other orders the Philly pizza and also delicious. I just want to thank them in saying they deserve better then most reviews left. Thanks for a great night guys.

Came in with a large party >10 and we were all able to be seated together. Our food did take a long time to come out, which we weren’t warned about. But the killer bee burger was fantastic and their own brewed root beer was incredible.

I ordered the Philly steak pizza and it had no sauce on it. I've had it before and it was good and had a BBQ like sauce on it. I called and the manager said he checked the cameras and they did put sauce and was super dismissive. I sent photos to him and offered to bring the pizza back in exchange for a different one because even if this is the new way they make it.. it was not good and no one liked it at all. They told me they have "communicated with me about this enough and are not interested in an exchange" and hung up...it's always been a family tradition to order big rig pizza when my family visits from Buffalo. We even have merch LOL but clearly we need to find somewhere else...I'm mainly shocked with how they were so dismissive and rude.. I understand mistakes happen or maybe recipes change but they were extremely unprofessional and not willing to try and resolve the issue. I brought my husband in and the finally agreed to give a refund... Just an overall sour experience.

Food was good. Waitress and service was good. Great selection of craft beers. Try the Alpha IPA! And, if you want to try something cool, tell them you want a Alpha Bongo! (Mix between Alpha & Bongo Bongo) It was really good! Seems like they also sell shirts and other stuff...

The food was pretty good and the wait wasn't too long. Overall pretty good if your in the area and want a bite to eat. One thing that stands out is its wide selection of foods. It has everything from burgers to Indian food.

We are a regular customer and we love their chicken but today we order for pick up and we're very disappointed! They gave us an old chicken, very hard to eat! You can really tell if it's fresh or not! So disappointed! What a waste of money! We called the restaurant, told her about it but she just said sorry and she can't do anything about it. 😭😡

What a weird experience. TLDR; great beer, decent food bad service It wasn’t too busy and we were able to be seated right away. It took over 25 minutes for anyone to see our table. We actually had to flag a staff member down and ask if they were our server (they were not) and they went to check. After another few minutes a server from the bar side came and asked if we wanted to move, so we did. Our server over here was great, ask to be seated by the bar. The food ended up being pretty okay, the pizza was probably a little heavy on the toppings and the burgers + fries were really good! Great selection of regular and seasonal beer, this is why you should come here, just don’t expect great service always.

Service was good but food was lacklustre. I went when they opened at 11 and was promptly told they don’t offer breakfast which must be new because reviews said they had breakfast. Ended up ordering fish and chips and a coke. I had to send the coke back as it was from the bar tap and tastes awful so they gave me a can. Overall was ok but I wouldn’t go back. Only tried this place because I was meeting friends and needed somewhere to meet in the middle and we thought they offered brunch/breakfast.

Service very slow about 25 minutes before a waitress saw us, seemed very understaffed. Once we put our orders through took almost an hour for the food to arrive wrong. Nachos had no cheese then when reported came back with only cheese. Chicken fingers tasted frozen. Burger was burnt. Although the waitress did take time she seemed to be doing her best while working many tables very nice. All in all waitress saved a 1 Star review.

Big establishment with good staff. Food prices are a bit on the high side considering the small quantity and above average quality. Alot of beers to chose from but not many were actually great. Definitely get a flight to figure out which one you prefer. If you want a beer.

Good spacing for COVID and very kind workers. It seemed like a bunch of people called in sick that day because our server was busting his rear getting things done. He was awesome! Food was delicious. Had a club sandwich and it was so good. Didn't even finish the fries.

Despite the good atmosphere and service, I only gave an overall three stars due to the ridiculous portion size of fried calamari served ($19!!!). Understandably restaurant prices have gone up everywhere, but this is ridiculous!!!

I really like this restaurant. Big, clean and so delicious. I tried different platters with my family and all were yummy. Service is amazing. Ambiance is good.

Ordered 7oz sirloin cooked rare with fries. Fries are very hot and the plate came with dipping gravy. Steak cook right and just enough to enjoy at 7oz for the price. Server was great and pleasant with while very busy.

Ordered a smoke meat sandwich for my husband for lunch and the entire thing was almost all fat. He didn't eat the meat as needless to say it was gross and that is putting it lightly. Definitely not very good at quality inspections!

Slow service. Had to ask for refills on drinks twice. This place has really gone downhill since COVID. Sad, we used to come here often. wasn’t even that busy. Now I know why. Always used to come here for the pizza but this time the crust was burnt. Don’t think I’ll be rushing back anytime soon.

Very surprised how the food quality has driven itself down into the dirt. We have been coming to Big Rigs for years, countless times. It was our go to place, but ever since new management (or something) everything has gone down hill. Nachos used to be the best in the city and now they are smaller, less cheesy. Our recent experience at the Blair location was lack luster. We respected the team and understood they they were short staffed. Our food came out staggered with soup/salad last (15 minutes between plates), however the food, when it did get there, was horrible. We recommended anyone and everyone to Big Rigs because their food was fresh and homemade. Now it is frozen, processed, expensive food. Bring back the old Big Rigs and the Mango Salsa!

Went for lunch today. Food took at least 30 min to come. I have a dairy allergy and they don't really note vegan/gluten free/dairy free options on their menu. Server also didn't have good knowledge of their menu's allergy options. Ended up getting fish taco which barely has fish in it. Just with broken up fish scraps and lots of lettuce. Dont think I will go back or recommend this restaurant. This place used to be so good.

Being a larger party (table of 10 on a Friday at lunch) our server did a good job with drinks and food but the food was disappointing. Having eaten at the Big Rig’s on Iris a couple of times and enjoyed the food this location did not meet that standard. Had the smoked brisket sandwich and the brisket definitely needed an hour or two more in the smoker. The meat wasn’t tough, but wasn’t tender either, and the fat and connective tissue bits were chewy and tough- didn’t finish it. Fries were also cool and soggy. Hopefully a bad day, the rest of the table had mixed reviews of their food, with the only strongly positive statement being in favour of the chicken pizza.

I used to be a huge fan of The Big Rig, but slowly started backing away as prices went up, but quality and service went down (this was also pre pandemic mind you). The last time I dined in was in 2019, for brunch with a girlfriend. I ordered the french toast and upgraded the dish with cream cheese and strawberries (see pic). It was a while ago, but I remember being blown away by the price. The service was also non existent and pretty stand offish, so I never went back. Present day: My hubby brought home a large cheese pizza yesterday night for dinner ($25.00). If you like THICK cheese on your pizza, this pizza is for you. It was a little too rich for my liking. Their pizza sauce was on the watery side, and there was also a lack of pizza sauce on the pizza, so it was pretty much just cheese and bread. I understand this is a brewery, but, there are better pizza joints where you get more bang for your buck in the neighborhood.

Server was friendly and knowledgeable but the food wasn't that great plus its presentation was bad. Club sandwiches need strips of chicken

I’m often at the Big Rig in Richmond Hill but first time at this location. Service was rough at the start but warmed up as our meal went on. Food was decent but with a menu change coming soon, found 2 of the items I asked for were not available. Sadly it seems Big Rig is moving more towards quick prep meals with a generic taste that could be found at any chain restaurant. I’ll still recommend them because their beer offerings are good (especially Midnight Kissed My Cow) but there wasn’t anything here that would draw me back specifically.

The pizzas are really great, although the dough part of the crust is somewhat bland. Beers and burger were good. Pricey, but decent.

Probably the worst service I’ve ever got here. Took forever for the waitress to come and give us menus finally she comes takes our order. Takes forever to bring our drink ( not the restaurant was empty) our food comes, asked for sour cream both containers of sour cream were expired. She didn’t even give us small plates for our nachos so we had to eat over our napkins. Didn’t even come check up on us during. Had to ask another waiter to bring our bills. Sad to say because I really liked this place

Awesome spot, great food & our server was great!! However, when we walked in a staff member was standing at the hostess spot that was obviously not the hostess because she gave us no greeting or eye contact and it wasn't busy but even if it was a hey welcome our hostess will ne right with you would have been nice. You would have got 5 stars on everything but that didn't start our experience nicely unfortunately.

Been here twice now. Waiter was pretty nice but the service was very slow again and there was an issue with all the fruit flies in the restaurant. It took about 30-40 minutes for our appetizer to get to the table. 2 of the 3 mains that we ordered were served incorrectly - one steak was overcooked and had mushrooms on it although they were not in the meal description. The waiter (Leo) was kind enough to arrange for the 2 incorrect meals be removed from our bill but the overall experience was still disappointing.
