Small space but it packs alot in for a work out. Took my kids to the Open Family session on Saturday. Easy to register and book a session on line. You can only sign up one person for the session on-line unless everyone is registered but no big deal. Just show up and the sign in at the front office. They had my registration and waiver on the computer and it was that easy to get going. Make sure you warm up and stretch. These obstacles work lots of different muscles but your upper body will feel it the most. The kids were able to try different obstacles for their size. There were lots of variety of obstacles to try. Lots of walls to climb, rings, warped wall, salmon ladder (wow the folks on TV make them look so easy but of course for every person that makes it, there are probably 10 who do not). Great place to go if you are looking for something different and good challenging activities to work out.

Best gym in town! Never have I thought I'd be able to do the things that I turned out to be so capable of doing (climbing ropes, flipping tires, etc), I just needed someone to encourage me to try and that was the place where I found this encouragement. Great instructors that not only always carefully watch your technique and teach you how to better it, but encourage you to push your limits. Stopped going because we moved further away, but still miss this place where incredible instructors and other clients together created such a remarkable sense of community.

Josh and the OCR family have been nothing but a god send. Their continued support to the community during the pandemic has been nothing short of a miracle. I love that the gym is pro-choice. Thank you again!

Super neat facility for teens! Staff are great at receiving questions and stoping what they are doing to help out. Gave me a couple pointers on how to do obstacles and really preparing me for Spartan Races with helpful recommendations. Prices are a bit high but for a fun afternoon/ evening with friends/family/kids its worth your time!

Amazing gym. Took a boot camp here and loving the results. I never felt pressure to use more weight than was appropriate. The jog down the street was tough after their obstacle course but well worth it. Owner also doesn’t discriminate against unvaccinated people. So happy to hear that as my best friend isn’t .

Fun place to practice like a ninja warrior on tv. They have many ropes to climb, fences to jump and bars to hang from. We went when they had just opened on a Saturday and we were the only ones in there. 30 minutes later it was a different story. LOTS of kids had arrived for birthday party’s. We did some filming which they were eager to let us do, worked out and left. Overall it was really fun. Would return but maybe when there’s an adult only hour or not on the weekend.

I have actually been here with my son and we had a great time. They were safe and sanitized and we were able to keep more enough distance from other people. All of the people leaving one star reviews because the OCR respects your freedom of choice and values physical exercise as an essential part of your holistic health should be ashamed of themselves.

One of a kind gym, we are lucky to have it here in our city. Great place to get active, to be challenged physically. My kids loved the camps, they rated as the best camp they ever been to, was loads of fun. The classes and open gym is tailored to everyone‘s ability whether you want to train the Spartan race or ninja warrior or if you just enjoy a regular fitness class, this is the place for you. Extremely knowledgeable staff from personal fitness to nutritionists. Very Clean facility and very friendly staff.

What can I not say about this place that hasn't already been said OCR academy is like a 2nd home to me. The staff there are inspiring and incredible people and the camps there are fun perfect for anyone who just wants to have fun I started in the camps and now im training at OCR for a spartan race. If you have a free hour or two come down to OCR academy where you can push yourself to new limits.

My daughter loves it here! She has celebrated her 7th and 10th birthday at OCR as well as been been to their summer camps. My only criticism is that the time allotted for birthday parties is too short. It makes for a very rushed experience.

We enrolled our son in the OCR kids academy and really enjoyed the experience. The facilities were clean and well maintained but most importantly the staff were well knowledged and provided great tips and tricks to our son. Strongly recommend if you are looking for alternatives to team sports or to enhance physical fitness in yourself or your child. The cost per enjoyment ratio is just right! A great way to pave the way for your child to have a lifelong love of keeping fit and healthy! OCR Academy we wish you were moving with us!

We have attended this facility for a few years now, randomly, and it has always been a blast. My kids just started participating in the kids program three times a week however and are absolutely loving it. Instructors are amazing, and the staff is warm, kind and inviting. Couldn't be happier!

Such an amazing place to go to workout and have fun at the same time. Where else can you go to work out and climb ropes/walls and meet other friendly neighbors!? OCR Academy is truly a staple of the OCR community and Ottawa community alike!!! I felt very safe there with their C-19 procedures in place. They asked Covid pre qualifying questions as well as spend 4hrs each day cleaning the facility. The full list of pandemic procedures is on their website. Simply above and beyond in all aspects!!

Both our children's hockey teams had their end of the year parties at the OCR! It was a very smooth process from the booking, answering all my questions and to holding the actual event. OCR provided the food and drinks all we had to do was show up! The trainers were enthusiastic, energetic and were able to manage the rambunctious children!

We did 10 spartan race classes as a group to prepare for the Mont-Tremblant sprint spartan race. Ended up adding a few more sessions as we enjoyed them so much. It was my partners first race and she was particularly nervous about completing some of the obstacles. She was very thankful to have done the training courses as they definetely helped prepare for the race. Thanks to the OCR classes it was my first time completing all 25 obstacles. The hill training on Saturday was intense but coach Graves and owner Josh made it enjoyable. We came for the training but stayed for the great group atmosphere and coach attitude. We plan on doing more races in the future and using OCR spartan race classes again to prepare.

As a mom of special needs kids finding activities that are positive experiences is almost impossible. OCR has been wonderful and my kids love it. Recently my son needed support completing something that he found a little scary. The instructor saw he was struggling and helped him through it by being kind, patient and providing clear instructions. The smile on my child’s face once he completed the activity was priceless. He was so proud of himself.

Very happy with the birthday party. Everyone had a blast. Perfect for 13 year olds. Pizza could have been better (tasted like frozen pizza), but no one seemed to mind--so this didn't impact my rating.

Kids had fun there. However, the management is a bit too confusing. The registration process is like educating ppl. The close time on the website was 4:30pm (3-4:30pm time slot) at the website, but the lights were turned off at 4:05 or so. When checking with the guy, he said "oh let me check". After like 5 minutes, he said "oh, it's 4:30pm, and you can continue if you would like". But he didn't turn on the light immediately but staying in front of the computer, which showed he was actually reluctant to let us resume. We didn't bother to ask him and left.

I never know how my children will respond when they embark on new adventures and activities. I had a feeling one of them would love OCR Academy and one might lose interest quickly, as they have been less inclined to participate in physical activities. After several months of attending classes weekly, both of my children could not be more excited to attend! Their excitement grows each week! My child whom I thought would lose interest has now become so interested in physical fitness, they get up every morning to exercise. Both kids are motivated, noticing their increased strength, and their confidence is soaring. I credit this 100% to the absolutely incredible staff and facility. They know how to relate to children at all levels, motivate them, and teach them about physical fitness in an approachable and FUN way! I might even start diving in soon because it looks that fun! Thank you, OCR, for consistently providing my family with such a wonderful, compassionate, exciting experience each visit! We are so grateful!

Our daughter is back again for another camp. She's participated in their March break and summer camps and always has a great time. It's worth mentioning too that their conflict resolution is terrific as well. Kids don't always get along and they handled a situation with our then 9yo in a very professional manner ensuring we would definitely be back. Great staff and experience for kids.

The dude who owns this cafe is a nutjob on social media and throws out the ingredients/changes menu items that don’t align with *his personal diet*. Hope he gets help for his eating disorder/unhealthy fad dieting habits instead of forcing it on other people and making his business suffer because he doesn’t know what moderation and self control is. This dude should not be giving anybody health and eating advice IMO, he’s a barista not a registered dietician

My kids had a great time attending going through the obstacle course while attending a birthday party. I appreciated how the staff taught the kids how to use everything safely and how they assisted my youngest child (6 years old) reach the bars that were too high for her. As a parent who was waiting and observing, delicious lattes and pizzas were available, as well as free wifi. My kids had so much fun that they asked if they can have their own party there.

My son (8) had so much fun there for a birthday party. There was no shortage of activities and obstacles during free play time. The kids were all entertained by the great staff. Many of the parents wanted to return and join in for a workout...myself included. Great way to promote physical activity for the entire family.

I have no aspirations to make the Olympics nor even much talent to finish in the top 20% of most of my running or other sports competitions... and I have experienced setbacks as well (various injuries at different times over almost half a century). While I do continue to run at a reduced/recovering capacity, it is a form of meditation to be alone with my thoughts and enduring the elements and responding to the indicators on my running watch. Working out at OCRA is a different form of growth. Everyone has their own journeys and finish lines, but there is something magical and inspiring about seeing others push themselves not for anyone else but their own ambitions, goals and growth. It is how we should approach life and understand our own value... not relying on the growth and achievement of others. How many places on earth can you walk away from someplace ecstatic where you just had your a$$ kicked (you were just given a challenge that you spent 60 or 90 minutes trying to achieve)? Training is about consistent growth. Training at OCRA means being coached and inspired by people who are passionate about the journey... surrounded by people who “get” you... because they are likely just as crazy testing their limits and daring to go a bit further each time.

OCR is the most amazing place. My son looks forward to his two classes every week. They are fun, energetic and take the safety of everyone extremely serious. As a parent, I feel 100% safe sending my son there knowing he is in a clean, safe environment. Well done OCR!

I highly recommend joining OCR! I cannot say enough about how grateful I am for this place, almost like a second home. The staff are very friendly, always in a great mood and available to answer (and explain) any question you may have! Since COVID, they've restructured some of their classes, Movement and Mobility (my absolute favourite) to name an example. Stef has done an amazing job with this class to include more dynamic stretches to work on those tiny muscles that most people tend to forget to stretch. I've had a tight hip since working from home and my massage therapist noticed it was not as tight after I attended Stef's class about once/twice a week for about a month. Stretching your muscles and moving your joints is very important and the team at OCR knows this. You will not regret this decision!

This is a really cool and unique gym experience! As a Ninja Warrior fan, I was very curious to check out this obstacle course and was not disappointed! I brought my client, who has developmental disabilities, and this place was accessible and inclusive! The staff were helpful and encouraging, the obstacles were challenging and fun, and there is a wide variety of equipment to try out. I would totally recommend for anyone. I don’t have the upper body strength for a lot of the obstacles but there was still tons that I could do and I got a great work out at the open gym! Thanks for a fun outing!

OCR is the first gym I have ever joined where I felt part of a, and yes this is super cliche to say but, community. Everyone members and staff are very upbeat and have a great attitude and really try and incorporate you into the atmosphere and workout. The staff are very knowledgeable and well versed in physical wellbeing and fitness. They have taken very extensive and comprehensive measure to protect everyone during these Covid times. I feel like the strategies and rules in place have not inhibited my workout or enjoyment of participating and I feel very confident and comfortable going to the gym. There is no apprehension or concern about they safety policies or their efforts to protect you. Classes are limited to promote social distancing, and members are obligated to where a mask and carry sanitization bottles when travelling between those designated zones. You are not obligated to wear a mask once in your designated personal area, but I have actually found it makes a better workout to keep the mask on and helps promote better breathing and lung capacity. Needless to say, this is by far the best gym I have ever been too, and I feel I have accomplished the most endurance and stamina progression through their programs. I very highly recommend this place.

My son has had a very difficult time in the past getting involved in something, we have tried soccer, no luck, we tried karate, interest didnt last long. My wife then found OCR and my son has never been happier. The staff is incredible, very positive and motivating. My son didnt know what day of the week it was since covid 19, but he knows what day it is the 2 days he has OCR. Having 2 family members in our house who are considered higher risk, we were very hesitant to sign our son up, but how they have been handling the situation is incredible, very professional and have been doing an absolutely amazing job communicating with members during these difficult times and ensuring that everyone's safety is taken seriously. From cleaning to distancing they have been doing everything right, and we are so glad we found OCR for our son, and most importantly, he is happier then we have ever seen!

My son is so happy to be back at OCR. I watched them explain all the safety measures to the kids and it made me feel good. Plus I saw on their schedule that they clean before and after the kids session and that help me know that they are doing everything to keep them safe. It is such a relief to see my son excited by their program. If you are looking for a safe and fun environment for your kids this is the place.

Glad to be back to in person classes. The staff is very diligent in screening for covid as we enter the gym, making sure equipment is disinfected after each workout and between classes. 2m distance is being maintained at all time and masks compulsory while mobile in the gym. Safe environment, and good to have coaches observing and correcting form during the workout.

Definitely great for older kids, not so good for little ones. My 7yr old still enjoyed himself but he couldn't use most of the equipment. He definitely tried , but he's a bit too short! He still had a blast and figured out his own way to utilize what was there. The employees are fantastic and very friendly!

It's an interesting place to go and the kids had a great time but we went with a bunch of 10 year olds and we didn't think there was quite enough supervision for kids that age. For the 14 and 16 year olds (and for adults), it was a great place.

We came here with a group for a kid's birthday party (7-8 year olds) and it was great, definitely an idea and location I will be copying. The staff were friendly and fun, but also politely firm/no nonsense - they seem to take safety seriously and they did not tolerate shenanigans from the kids. The boys and girls had a great time and the obstacles were tough enough to test and push even the toughest of them (mostly gymnasts). The facility is large, well set up and clean. The location is right off the highway and easy to find, very convenient for people from our group coming from all over the city & suburbs.

With a family of 6 and kids ranging in age from 5-15 we all love the open gym time. The coaches are amazing with the kids to motivate and give tips. Birthday parties were a big hit! Classes are addictive, which I really miss going to. My daughter (10 going on 13) had this to say about Summer camp. "It was so much fun! The camp leaders were really nice. I loved meeting new friends. I finally got to the top of the warp wall. We played games and had competitions. I can't wait to go back again!"
