This
is
a
bad
place
to
spend
your
fitness
dollars
on
so
many
levels.
There
are
labour
act
violations
(students
forced
to
work
on
their
own
time
to
prepare
lesson
plans
for
aquafit,
etc.,
or
face
discipline
at
work)
that
are
not
being
addressed.
The
facility
is
frequented
by
drop-in
clients
who
don't
pay
at
the
desk
but
take
up
space
on
the
machines
and
in
the
gym.
Posted
classes
and
set
ups
(badminton
in
the
gym
for
example)
are
frequently
not
ready,
or
at
least
not
ready
on
time.
Maintenance
issues
with
showers,
the
base
of
the
pool
wall
being
rusted
and
equipment
problems
plague
the
experience
here.
The
management
team
is
not
comprised
of
individuals
who
have
the
necessary
talents
to
improve
the
overall
experience
for
members
here.
So,
if
you
have
a
family
with
children
under
12,
this
might
be
an
OK
place
to
be
a
member,
provided
you
have
the
extra
money
to
attend
paid
classes
in
the
facility
for
the
kids.
If
you
are
an
adult
member
or
couples
member,
typically,
you
will
be
best
served
at
a
different
area
facility
such
as
Ray
Friel
which
is
less
expensive,
more
extensive
and
operates
under
established
guidelines
determined
by
experience.
Ruddy
Family
Y
has
other
problems.
My
wife
and
I
donated
basketballs
for
open
gym
(4)
and
two
were
already
missing
after
ten
days
because
the
staff
failed
to
use
internal
controls
(taking
ID
for
the
balls)
to
ensure
that
the
balls
would
be
available
for
future
visits.
Our
lost
$175
donation
resulted
in
me
terminating
my
membership
(two
days
after
paying
$56.50
for
the
month)
and
leaving
this
place
in
my
past.
I
would
be
hard
pressed
to
recommend
Ruddy
Family
Y
for
anything
other
than
Aqua
Fit
-
and
even
then
you
must
be
comfortable
with
the
idea
that
your
instructor
is
not
being
paid
for
all
of
his/her
work.
While
you
attend
Aqua
Fit
class,
you
will
be
subjected
to
a
blaring
PA
system
that
is
not
properly
attenuated
to
the
space
and
intermittent
music
because
of
connection
problems
that
were
never
attended
to
in
the
two
months
I
went
to
this
facility.
Again,
there
are
many
better
choices
that
don't
involve
long
term
contracts
in
Orleans.
Look
around
before
settling
on
the
Y.
