It is good experience, the jazz is perfect, and the band play very well. Although the food is ok. The portions are small and the taste is not the best.

Stopped in for a drink and some cool jazz. Great service at the bar and so grabbed some amazing sushi too. Wow! Fantastic evening out.

Came here on a date Friday night as I used to love this jazz club in the past. Unfortunately felt like a Holiday Inn. Literally watched kids running around the lobby while trying to get to know my date and it lost all the great atmosphere I was hoping for by the bright lights and distractions in the lobby.

We never eat here but come for drinks and music a few times a week which is a shame because a 5 star hotel should be able to do food better. Decided to order wings and they were slimy and fleshy. How you can screw up a simple thing like wings is beyond me. Ordered the charcuterie which clearly states it has cured meats but all we were served was paté. Not sure why a paté requires a grainy mustard... But again, this is not surprising. From the moment we walked in, the entire bar had dirty glasses and napkins and as per usual, it's all new staff who seem to have no idea how to run a restaurant. We'll still come back but will stick to the drinks.

I love the Jazz nights. The drinks are quite overpriced. The food during Jazz Night was decent, however didn't have much quantity for the price we paid. The brunch/lunch menu is pretty good and reasonable. Not sure why they overcharged so much at night.

One of my favorite places in town. They have live music in the lounge every. Single. Night. It’s pretty awesome to sit at the bar and have e a four roses and watch the music. The staff are AWESOME. They’re very attention e but not in your way.

The food was amazing and was delivered on time! Alex Lopez and his gang were phenomenal today on stage. Looking forward to seeing them soon! The resturant was clean and modern looking. I loved the Angolotti pasta, gourmet quality ricotta cheese.

The ambiance was nice and the jazz music was decent - this was my first time here. Service was exceptionally slow, took forever to get orders placed, for drinks to arrive and for bills to come. But staff was very friendly. Drink menu was surprisingly small, at least for cocktails which is what we came in for.

Great service and the live music is a nice touch. Despite this the food was very disappointing.

Great ambiance, excellent service and surprisingly good food. 4-5 years ago, the food quality was the reason I stopped coming to this place, but I guess they replaced their chef and menu, and now I'll be coming back. I would only suggest adding a bit more options with protein and small side dishes. It's a bit too heavy on the vegetarian side I find. Otherwise, keep up the great work!

Michelle served us today and she was great! She was polite, very quick (and so was the food), and made our evening very enjoyable. I recommend asking when she's working :) Thanks for making my birthday a good one, Michelle! We also really enjoyed the live music!

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here. The live music and decor made for a really nice vibe. The service was excellent and the food was good. I was very impressed with the speed of the service. The menu does have limited options so that is something to be aware of if you are planning on going for dinner. It is an added bonus that the restaurant is part of the Brookstreet Hotel, which makes it a convenient and excellent place to go for dinner when staying at the hotel. I will be returning and am already looking forward to it.

Let me explain the stars; Options has a nice vibe on jazz nights! Great servers definitely specially the men. Very attentive, personable and courteous BUT, if you go to a restaurant, you go there to eat and drink and sit comfortably! Most seats in this place are NOT dining chairs but rather lounge chairs suited with the dinner tables. Quiet uncomfortable! Then comes the food which is not cheap BUT .. it is! The food is costly which can be expected but, the quality is definitely not there and .. nope! not worth it! Desserts are the same! (Wine is about $20.00 a glass). Soups are horrific! Stay away unless you like hospital soup. Many of the dishes I have tried are just blend and unappealing Therefore.. I have made the choice to either stay away from the place or eat somewhere else before going there. Too bad because I love jazz as I dine and the place with it’s romantic vibes could’ve been my to go option every week but, it’s not. I gave atmosphere three stars because, it’s not enjoyable if you’re back is hurt sitting on uncomfortable chairs and your food tastes like cardboard.

Visited for lunch yesterday and had a lovely experience thanks to the hostess (did not get her name) and our server, Emmanuel. Atmosphere is lovely, fireplace was most welcome, food is delicious (buddha bowl) and service top notch!

Had an amazing meal here Sunday night. Everything was perfect. The live jazz was nice, the food was amazing. Our server was fantastic. We were two adults and two kids and everyone enjoyed the whole experience.

What an amazing night! I'm so glad we made the trek to Kanata. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was great. Everything we ordered was amazing. The atmosphere is perfect. And the live jazz band was fantastic. Can't recommend this place high enough.

Phenomenal piano player tonight...on a Tuesday night! Classy atmosphere with a great bartender. I travel frequently and this is one of the coolest hotel bars I've been in.

Wonderful place to spend under a clear sky or inside cozy up to stream of melodies played by skilled pianist and saxophonist. The food is a flare variety that caters to each taste. There is Vegan options as well. During covid it seems the menu was scaled down considerably, so now is not best time to comment on food quality. The drinks are amazing, firepits outside or fireplace inside. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. Prices on the higher side but thats what you expect for this unique ambience

Michelle made my daughter’s birthday very special with her wonderful service. But from the moment I made the reservation, to the moment we walked in, we got first class service. For that reason, we will come back!

It's like they have inexperienced teenagers working their kitchen. We have dinner elsewhere then come for a drink weekly. There was a moment in time last year where the food was decent but that didn't last long. Eat first, come here later.

VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SITTINGS. PRICY YET VERY LOW QUALITY FOOD. HARD TO GET THE SERVERS ATTENTION AT ANY POINT. OUR OFOD WAS SEREVED LATE AND COLD. EVERYTHING COST A FORTUNE FOR SUCH QUALITY AND SERVICE. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

Food was okay but nothing I'd go out of my way for. Servers were very nice and courteous despite it being a very busy night. Jazz was nice.

Our group of six went out for a special evening and enjoyed the band, as well as good food and drinks. What really surprised me though was the fact that 3 of our 6 chairs have visible pealed away sections from the pleather type fabric. I thought this hotel was known for being upper end - it needs to look at some the details….

Nice jazz lounge in the outskirts of Ottawa. The food and service were excellent. And the jazz, while not groundbreaking was more than competent. Great mixed drinks and bartender.

This place has style and attraction. This is a six star place. The Golfers will agree Techs will coroborate. The artists will feel at home. Options Jazz Lounge is located right on the ground floor of the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata, west end of the city of Ottawa. Lovely ambience featuring imposing posters of jazz greats, great drinks and smouldering cocktails and a live jazz band almost every day and what's more there is no gate fee. Just come in for a drink with friends, relax and enjoy great jazz music.

Food good, service good, atmosphere really nice (was on the patio due to Covid) but a pint of beer for $8.50 is on the higher end of the price scale when compared to other locations. They also don’t have pitchers unfortunately. Food price was relatively reasonable. Overall good place to visit once in a while.

Great ambiance, character in the lounge. Awesome jazz trio that night. Very fun and very reasonably priced menu (considering such a high end hotel), especially their new small plates options which is great for sharing. Good vegan options for my wife-much appreciated 😁👍 I loved the cherry gelato dessert. Enjoyed the drinks menu as well! We'll definitely be back for another date night. Even though we only live 1km away it felt like we had left the city for a getaway 😁

One of my favorite places! It's a fancy place without being exclusive. It's a little pricy, but I feel like that it's balanced out by the fact that you're not paying cover for live music. It's not the best place for dinner, but it's a great place if you want to get 1 or 2 cocktails and maybe a small snack and relax with friends.

I came in for a quick drink saturday evening to start my night, and was not disappointed. The live jazz music and the environment as a whole is enough to put anyone in a good mood or at minimum reduce stress. The bartender who served my friend and I was great. Professional, knowledgeable about her craft, helpful in all our orders, accommodating, and generally friendly are just a few traits that stood out about Allie. Her deportment portrayed the professionalism you'd expect in an upscale place, but she was also able to be engaging and personable which is the key to showing guests the amount of welcoming that will make them feel at home and want to come back again and again. If there could be a hypothetical rating system, Options and Allie would both rate off the charts.

Loved this place, spent a relaxing evening with friends at the lounge. The outdoor patio with firepits is amazing. The staff and service were impeccable. The wine selection at this lounge has a good variety. If you are looking for a thing to eat, their Black Bean Burger is quite savory. I recommend this place and would visit again.

I drove for 40 minutes expecting to enjoy jazz music... instead there was country music... and the food was not that good and very small portions...

I usually don't drive all the way to Kanata but I happened to be around and I stopped by. This is a great hotel bar. They had an excellent jazz duo playing that evening. The staff was friendly too.

If you love jazz this is the place in Ottawa. The food is good and the ambiance really nice.

Cool place that doesn't feel like a hotel lounge and would have given a 5 star had we not had food. Their menu left ALOT to be desired though. Wish they had more basic bar eats. The buffalo cauliflower was SO undercooked, when you cut it opened, the raw batter poured out. I stopped eating them but my husband ate them all since he isn't worried about anything. Needless to say, he was up ALL night in the bathroom.

I love the fact that there are a variety of performers at Options Jazz Lounge, I have the opportunity of listening to traditional, modern Jazz, R & B, blues etc. The staff there are friendly.

I like appy hours deal. I would suggest to keep it on weekends as well...
