Went during March Break on a Wednesday morning. Booked a ticket online. The parking lot is MUDDY - wear rubber boots 100%. All the staff was wonderful. It may be different on the weekends but on this weekday it seemed like activities were minimal. The petting barn was pretty run down (not in a danger to animals or people sense, just lots of repairs could be made), and only a few animals were able to be seen. Goats and bunnies mostly. It was quite crowded inside. There was a rundown sign near the old sugar shack with a clock that said “next tour in…” but clearly it had been destroyed by many kids and/or weather. There was no one to chat with to “take a tour” or to teach the kids how to make syrup. VERY self-guided experience. No education signs, or direction signs really anywhere explaining the steps. We felt more like we were on a hike in the woods with some sap lines and other families running around. There was a man in the shack, but he wasn’t putting on a show for us or anything, just quietly watching the sap. Lots of porta potties - yay! Fairly clean too. The meal was a separate price but it was delicious - Meating’s makes great food! Again, the staff in the eatery were FANTASTIC. I didn’t see any hot dog or s’mores kits for sale like it had mentioned online, but also the two fires we came across were smoking and definitely needed to be tended to (around noon). HUGE PLUS: like five or six play structures for the kids. My kid spent 95% of our time here and that was the highlight of her “sugar shack adventure” Definitely room for improvement in the whole “maple bush” experience. Someone to explain different types, the process etc - especially for young kids & families who didn’t grow up here. But having Meating’s on-site for food is a huge benefit. Will probably seek out a different experience for my kid next year to learn more about the process of making maple syrup. But if you just want to have a delicious pancake breakfast & run around some play structures, eating maple taffy - this is the place for your family!

Although we had read some negative reviews, we decided to give this place a chance since people often complain about trivial matters. We arrived at the restaurant at 11am, but unfortunately, the cold weather made our wait even more unpleasant. We had to wait for 30 minutes to catch the shuttle to the restaurant, and when we arrived, we were met with a long queue of at least 50 people. After waiting for another 30 minutes, we realized it would take at least an additional hour to get inside. The restaurant appeared to be poorly organized, which was disappointing because the location was beautiful. Ultimately, after spending more than an hour shivering outside, we decided to walk away. Our experience left us feeling very disappointed.

Was really hoping to have a great experience here but it was the opposite. Very confusing ticket experience…we were given tickets valid for a dessert and drink. We wanted to do maple taffy but also have coffee with our breakfast. With only one ticket given to cover both of these (but both being in different locations), it was confusing for both us and the staff. The breakfast was absolute chaos. We were seated with a menu and then told to go stand in line to order. The line was all around the dining room and there was no clear message of whether we were to wait there for the food or go back to our table. This is where the issue with using our ticket for coffee also became a problem. The lovely staff member serving coffee was kind enough and just gave us the coffee…which we later realized was so weak it was basically just water. The eggs were watery and the beans tasted like lemon (?!). We then went to do the rest of the sugar bush “experience”…but there wasn’t really one to be had here. Did not see signage indicating where things were, and ended up just taking the wagon to the kids play area (which was great)…but we also could have gone to a playground somewhere else for free. After reading the reviews…there was a petting zoo? Some signage might have helped to direct us to that. Random thought as well-why are there still skeletons from Halloween everywhere? Overall I’d consider this a pancake breakfast with a playground and not an educational experience about how maple syrup is made.

Had a great time here today. Wagon rides were fun and the guy tells jokes the whole way. Breakfast was delicious! I didn’t know but the company “Meatings” does the catering here now. My one complaint is I bought 7 maple syrup taffee’s on the crushed ice and 3 were big and 4 were tiny. At 3.99+ tax each I wasn’t impressed.

Amazing place for public holidays and weekend gatherings. The best time to go here is on Easter and for strawberries.

Strawberry picking: Fun outdoor activity to do with the family. Large parking lot. Pay for the strawberries by basket (volume) before you enter. They have some specific rules that are posted before you enter (see photo). For example, they require everyone in the group to have a basket (unless you’re 3 or under.) Red spray paint lines on the ground to make 2 m social distancing in the line. They have portapotties beside the mandatory hand washing station. Friendly staff. We’ve been here before and we’d come back again!

I had always been a loyal Saunders Farm visitor, I even worked there for several years as a teenager. This year we moved further East and couldn’t justify the travel and cost of Saunders but wanted to take our daughter to her first pumpkin patch, so we tried Proulx Farms. Even with an infant we thoroughly enjoyed Proulx Farms and had a blast. There were many opportunities for photos, the maze was big enough to slightly worry we actually got lost but fast enough that our daughter never got antsy or bored. The atmosphere on the farm was exciting and fun and every worker we talked to was kind and helpful. We will definitely be returning next year!

Let’s start with the website. The price shown on the website is $5.99 plus taxes per person but when you open the webpage to book the tickets the price automatically changes to $10.99 plus taxes per person. Very confusing and deceiving information. I and my friend still decided to book and go since we really wanted to go to a sugar bush for our weekend activity and this one was the closest and open. We checked in and were not guided properly. They just told us to follow the trail from the map. We reach to the sugar bush and had to wait more than 20 mins in line for maple candy on ice which was frustrating. The trails were very short. The map didn’t have the animal farm direction to which the ticket said it’s included. Altogether our expectations were not met! Don’t recommend this sugar bush!

I visited the farm on Saturday with my 2 year old daughter. The person at the front entrance was having some kind of issue with her machine so the people in front of me went inside to pay. She didn't say anything to me so I just followed the others in front of me. Once inside I paid and it was free for my daughter as it's free for under 2. One employee kind of had a scowl on her face, I think she may have been the manager as she didn't have a uniform like the others working but she didn't seem too happy to be working. The tractor ride was fun but we didn't stop to do the maze as I think it would've been too long for my toddler. The "animal" farm portion is quite sad, small, and there really isn't much there for your kids to do other than feed the goats (I bought feed for 2.50). We spent maybe an hour there- My kid liked the park but overall, if I had been with my whole family and paid for more than myself I'd say that it's not worth it.

It was a great day temperature perfect super family day For a family of five it's 90$ that does not include the pumpkins or any veggies But all the game tractors ride in that 90$ And there is also a little stand you can get food and drinks Or like us bring you picnic

Went strawberry picking and it was a great time. Staw is placed in the fields to not get muddy feet. Staff drive you a short distance to the fields. There were plentiful berries.

Always a good time with young children. Ensure you arrive earlier in the day to get maximum value as admission can be considered pricey with larger family / group. Different activities available depending on season. Seems to be moving towards a more commercialized feeling and less personal than it used to be. To be expected with growth and more attractions.

Lovely farm. Lots of people but spread out so it didn't seem crowded. The corn maze was fun walking around in. Kids loved it, was a great afternoon. Spent 2.5 hrs.

Our family went this am (April 9, 2022) and had one of the best times ever. We have a 5y/o and a 2y/o and they loved it. The pancake breakfast restaurant was phenomenal! Get the crispy pork if u like deep fried bacon!!!! Dynamite!!! Kids loved the play structures! We don't have a negative thing to share! Well worth the costs!!!!! Highly recommend!!!!

My whole family had such a wonderful time yesterday at Proulx farms. Their was so much for the children to do. The bouncy castles are a nice little touch to the experience as well. We did all the activities included and bought some nice items from the shop. During the wagon ride we stopped to get off at the pumpkin patch. We visited the patch took some nice photos and picked a pumpkin then made our way back to get picked up by the next wagon. No one wanted to get off the wagon to go see the pumpkin patch which left our entire group waiting for another wagon. The driver radioed for another wagon and within a couple minutes another wagon was there to pick us up. It was very accommodating. The decorations were so fun as usual and can see how much work went into it. The staff was also so friendly so helpful too. It was a great day. Thanks so much Proulx Farms for the day.

Great open farm to buy and pick your own, minutes away from Orleans. Like most farm stores the prices are HIGH, which does not make sense. But my logic is, farmers sell real low in wholesale, yet they sell Higher than retail when they sell direct or farmer markets. I do not agree to the logic of you want fresh, you will be penalized with higher price for it. I am all for buying direct from farmers, and I would pay extra as a price of my support. But... I hope you understand my point. I wish they pass more strict laws and forbid switching farmland into real estate development land. ( Food security seems not a topic in Canada) I love the quality... I had some amazing peaches, strawberries, cucumbers, raspberries and other stuff.. I can't remember it all. The staff are very very nice and they do not restrict you from tasting stuff as you pick. I have absolutely no complaint about price of stuff you pick by the way... Lots of parking there and very well organized operation. I truly wish they could expand more and the community would support them more by buying direct.

Had a great time with my family here at Proulx Sugar Bush and Farm! My grandsons loved the amimals in the barn and got to get up close to pet the horses that pulled our wagon. Our guide was hilarious with some bad puns and jokes. Food was good. Came home with several products from the store.

Our family had a great time. I would rec going very early, especially if you want the pancake breakfast. The line up was huge, and we decided not to wait. The sticky taffy a win as always!! For the hot chocolate don't wait in that long line up just walk in and get it. Wagon ride over to the other site was nice.

Friendly staff and helpful. Blueberry picking was fun and plenty to pick. My daughter and friends enjoyed it too. Price was more than expected compared to our last visit. But we had plenty to share with the neighbors and family between the 2 baskets we picked. And you can't beat fresh!!! :)

We haven't been in a few years but decided we needed to support local and do something fun for the kids this Halloween. The staff were excellent, the process to book tickets on line was easy, and check in was quick. Lots of things for the kids to do, safety was respected, and a special treat at the end. Thank you.

Even with the lockdown I was glad they were able to stay open... Most of their shops and things were closed for safety but small businesses like these REALLY need our support in these times or they won't be around next year... Hope to visit the Sugarbush again soon!

It was a great way to end an Easter Monday weekend by going to Proulx sugar bush. The place is great for kids under 10 as there are lots of play structures they can climb on, swing from, balance on, wall rock climbing, balancing bridge, etc. Staff there are very friendly, has hand sanitizer and wipes. Not sure if its new this year, but they have kits where you/kids can roast your own hot dog for lunch and when you're done, they also have s'mores kits where you can roast your marshmallows and put it between two chocolate cookies (it's not graem crackers). Kids really enjoyed cooking their own marshmallows and hot dog. The weather was really nice, kids enjoyed themselves, would I do it again? You bet.

This is the second year we've gotten their weekly produce box. We get the medium and it's more than enough for two! But make sure you follow them on Facebook and buy the moment the boxes become available- they sell out fast! Everyone here is so lovely, and it's fun to be able to support local businesses.
