They have really good pizza. Really enjoyed the Mike's special pizza. The mama mia is also very good but was a tad bit too spicy for me. Would get some pizza from here again!

Had sangerias - so delicious! Tenderloin and fries were absolutely perfect. Table had steak sandwiches and bacon cheeseburger, all was excellent. Waitress was very busy but handled the crowd like an expert. Thanks for making my first trip to Mike's a delight. Should've taken better pictures. 😄 Highly recommend.

The food was great! We went on Friday night the wait for the table was not bad as we had a party of 6. After ordering dinner we waited over an hour for our meal. It did give our family time to catch up, however we had a 4 year old that was challenging as he was very hungry. If you plan on eating here give yourself a good two hours to spare.

A Slice of Iowa's Finest: An Ode to Pizza For pizza aficionados in Iowa, an exquisite slice is a rare jewel. Unfortunately, the state's pizza landscape is littered with pies that are overly salty, lack freshness, or simply miss the mark when it comes to the authentic pizza experience. The search for that perfect balance of flavorsome sauce, well-proportioned toppings, and a crust that's just right can seem like a never-ending journey. Yet, amid this landscape, Mike's Pizza and Steakhouse shines as a beacon of hope, consistently delivering pizzas that not only satisfy the palate but also capture the heart. As I stepped into the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by the tantalizing aroma of baking dough and melted cheese – a scent that was as comforting as a warm blanket on a cold winter's night. Each pizza at Mike's Pizza and Steakhouse is a symphony of flavors, harmoniously working together to create a gustatory masterpiece. The crust strikes a delicate balance between crispy and chewy, and as for the toppings – well, let's just say they're generous enough to make a decade-long feud between pineapple and non-pineapple pizza lovers look like a light disagreement. The cheese is as rich and indulgent as a billionaire on a shopping spree, and the sauce – oh, the sauce! It's a tomato-based love letter to anyone who appreciates the finer things in life. The pepperoni slice I tried was a Wall Street tycoon - bold, confident, and packing a flavorful punch. The veggie option was like a well-traveled scholar, offering a delightful array of international flavors. And let's not forget the Margarita, a minimalist marvel, proving there's beauty in simplicity. In conclusion, Mike's Pizza and steakhouse lives up to the hype. It's a place where the pizza is so good, you'll want to write sonnets about it. But be warned, once you've had a taste, you might find yourself permanently relocating to Iowa. Pizza lovers, let the pilgrimage begin!

Mike’s Pizza is absolutely delicious. It’s our “go to” place for pizza. Best pizza we’ve ever had!

We ordered the house pizza and it was very good. Our waitress Rachel was excellent! We will definitely eat here again. 😋

The food was marginal at best. My salmon was dry and overcooked,. My son’s Mac and cheese was straight from a box. Our waitress brought us two identical checks as she tried to get us to pay five times- while we were obviously still eating! The atmosphere was pretty decent, but the food and service need a lot of work.

I googled "best pizza in Ottumwa" and Mike's popped up as #1 on 3 or 4 sites. And they were RIGHT! This calzone I just had was absolutely delicious! Fresh, delicious crust, wonderful flavors. All around a top-notch meal. I will *definitely* eat here again the next time I'm in town.

The locals suggested this place to me. It's close to, if not, the best pizza I've ever eaten. Mike got it right. The crust was so perfect. I was very impressed. The Greek salad was spot on too. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I met Mike, he had an Italian accent. And I had such a good experience, I bought a Mike's Pizza T-shirt from him, so I could remember it.

Great place for Pizza. The staff is so friendly. It was busy, but the food still came out quick, and the wait staff visited with us and never made us feel rushed.

Wouldn't accommodate "crustless" pizza. I mean.... How hard is it to put the toppings in a foil pan and cook it? Manager kept interrupting me until I literally had to ask "who is going to talk? You or me? One at a time?". I won't be back

I had the fried tenderloin. Was thin & dried out. Was asked what I wanted on it, came out plain & had to ask for condiments. HyVee's tenderloins 1,000% better, thicker, juicier! (And CHEAPER!) I did like the fries & lemonade, but lemonade was priced higher than should have been. Wife had a cheeseburger. It was thin & dry. My wife & I both remember when Fiesta Cantina was in this building & had 1,000% better food! Over-priced , & not impressed at all. Won't be back.

Calzone Momma Mia! Wow! Delicious with a kick. The food here is very good. The pricing is affordable and the service was exceptional. I will definitely put this on my list of places to eat, when I’m in town. Thank you for the great service and great food.

We tried Mike's Pizza about a month ago. I had the French dip and fries and my son had a pepperoni pizza. Both were very delicious. Then a couple weeks later we went back and we both had pizza and cheese balls. I was fairly disappointed at the price in the end the actual was over $50 for two pizzas and an appetizer. Although we liked what we had the Quattro with no olives was not worth the price they charged neither were the cheese curds fried for $8 on a small dinner plate. We will have to think seriously about going back again.

Love this place! This is the best pizza in Ottumwa. The best pizza I've had in my entire life. There can be a wait so get there early. It's well worth the wait!

This is probably the best pizza you can get in Ottumwa. The booths are really cozy and great for chatting after dinner. The staff was attentive and friendly. Probably better for smaller groups.

Best pizza in Ottumwa. Little higher prices than most other pizza places. Booth seating is a little tight. I am 6' 5". Definitely would recommend.

Got there and only 3 other tables there. Salad came after meal. I had a gyro and the pitas was doughy, our appetizers were left in the fryer way too long. I have ate here many times and never was like this

I ordered the salmon dinner and as one of my sides I chose the rice pilaf. I chose rice pilaf but that is not what I got. They served me plain white rice that didn't even taste like it had been salted. I asked the server for a lemon wedge then squeezed that over the rice. After a few generous shakes of grated parmesan and black pepper I had something with flavor but it still wasn't rice pilaf. The salmon was a bit overcooked but that happens at a lot of places and at least it still had flavor. I didn't mention anything to the server because I was just visiting the area from out of state and who knows if I will ever be in the area again but my friend wasn't too happy with his lasagna either so if I ever make it back Mike's will not be on the agenda.
