This place is renowned for one person. Popularly known as Sher-e-Bangla (Lion of Bengal),  Mr. A. K. Fazlul Haque. He was a British Indian and Pakistani lawyer, writer and statesman from eastern Bengal (present-day Bangladesh). Neer the bus stop there is one canal. It is important for products transportation. People from rural are comes to this bus stop to go to city using this canal. There has school, college, bazar and many important offices. That's why this is a popular and busy bus stand.

It is a traditional haat, with almost all the necessities of life. The haat is accompanied by the house of Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque, the great man of the title "Tiger of Bengal", his club, memorial museum, and college. The day is Friday and the market sits on Tuesday.Commodity prices are relatively low here. And a lot of people gather here on the day of the market. All in all, it is a good place
