I
made
a
reservation
for
three
people
at
2:45pm
on
9/6
via
OpenTable.
I
saw
on
the
website
that
due
to
COVID,
reservations
were
recommended
and
thought
it
would
be
great
to
sit
outside.
When
I
arrived
with
my
guests,
the
hostess
told
me
that
there
was
no
reservation
under
my
name
and
the
outdoor
section
was
closed...
Ok,
a
little
odd
considering
the
fact
I
received
a
confirmation
email
from
OpenTable
that
my
reservation
was
accepted.
Not
sure
why
outdoor
dining
was
closed
during
the
pandemic,
but
whatever.
There
also
were
only
two
other
tables
there
when
we
arrived.
We
ordered
our
drinks,
starters,
and
meals
all
at
the
same
time.
I
ordered
a
french
onion
soup
and
sandwich
and
the
waitress
asked
if
we'd
like
the
appetizers
to
come
out
first
to
which
we
said,
yes.
My
friend's
appetizer
came
out
first
but
not
my
soup.
I
gave
it
a
few
minutes
before
I
finally
decided
to
say
something.
The
waitress
says,
"Oh,
they
didn't
bring
it
out?
They
must've
forgot
it."
Ok,
I
get
it
mistakes
happen,
but
stop
making
excuses
and
just
go
get
the
soup.
I
began
to
get
extremely
irritated
when
I
waited
ten
more
minutes
and
still
no
soup.
A
bunch
of
Chicago
police
officers
came
in
to
eat
in
uniform.
The
waitress
completely
shifted
her
attention
to
the
two
tables
of
cops.
She
didn't
check
in
on
us
at
all
since
she
was
preoccupied
with
the
police
officers.
When
my
main
course
arrived,
I
told
the
waitress
that
I
didn't
want
the
soup
anymore.
She
made
a
face
at
me
like
it
was
going
to
be
ready
any
second
(like
I
already
hadn't
waited
twenty
minutes).
Sorry!
I
don't
want
it
anymore.
The
food
was
actually
really
great,
a
lot
of
flavor
and
good
portion
sizes.
Nobody
ever
checked
on
us
to
see
how
the
food
was
or
if
we
wanted
any
more
drinks.
Nobody
even
came
to
refill
our
water
glasses!!!
This
waitress
literally
wanted
nothing
to
do
with
us
and
she
made
that
clear.
After
we
saw
her
bending
over
backwards
for
the
police
officers,
we
were
pretty
disgusted.
There
is
no
excuse
for
poor
service
especially
when
the
restaurant
isn't
even
busy.
This
girl
was
so
lazy
and
other
employees
were
just
sitting
around.
The
customer
service
in
general
was
horrible.
I'm
not
cheap
but
I
do
think
the
soup
should've
been
on
the
house
for
the
inconvenience.
Now
that
I
think
of
it
I
just
wanted
to
get
out
of
there
so
I
didn't
even
read
over
the
bill.
I'm
kicking
myself
because
she
probably
forgot
to
take
it
off.
I
was
a
server
before
and
this
honestly
was
the
worst
restaurant
experience
that
I've
ever
had.
I'm
so
disgusted
with
this
establishment.
Shame
on
you
and
your
horrible
customer
service.
Train
your
servers
too!
