Nice cool microbrewery. They serve cocktails with beer and have a wide selection of their beer here. Sat with a group for a birthday and they were very accommodating. Service was quick and friendly. The wings and burger were good, not extraordinary. I'd say typical bar food. I'd eat there again, but because I would be drinking there again!

Great beer - with so many choices - and delicious food. It’s a fun atmosphere and the staff were super friendly as well. We had the fried cheese curds and I think they might be the best in the city. I’ve heard their Pilsen-style pizza (crust made with beer) is great, too! I look forward to going back to try it.

Some of the best service I ever had at a bar. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Jose was the vibes you want in a waiter. And also worth mentioning, bar food has no business being that good. I rarely frequent bars, but I can safely say I would go out of my way to come here again.

Outdoor dining setting with a covered out outdoor selection option. I noticed a vegan jackfruit pizza on the menu I didn’t have time to try it. They share the seating service with a sushi restaurant so you have that option as well. I highly recommend the Chocolate banana old fashioned it’s a deliciously unique blend.

First time coming to Alulu and we were pleasantly pleased. Ample street parking and outdoor seating. There was amazing wait staff (Jose’ was great!), the food was spiced just right, and the mocktails had an extra special kick that made us want several more! We got the Chicken Tikka Sandwich, Charred Wings, Veg Lumpia, and the Jackfruit Pizza! Great space for vegans and non vegans! We were stuffed and will come back!!!

Service is pretty poor. One time I had called about when last call was/the kitchen closed, they couldn’t tell me, “9:30 or 10, it just depends” and had an attitude about it (last call 11:30p on Fri.) On a few other occasions, I asked for straws and they never came with them. It also takes quite a while for the servers to take note of us when we self seat. For the food, the cheese curds are good. We’ve given this brewery many chances and now I’m finally writing a review due to the type of experiences I have every time I go.

The beer is quite good and on-style for the several styles I have tried. The food is gastro-pub and priced accordingly. If you sit on the patio, it is shared with the sushi place next door, so you can mix and match the menus.

Very fun outdoor space with comfortable seating. There are partitions between the benches, so a little difficult for large groups to sit together. The beer and food selection was great, with many different seasonal beers to try. We had a burger from Alulu and you can also order sushi from the restaurant next door. Even when raining outside, still nice to sit outside under their seating cover.

Short version: Here are the two reasons NOT to come here: 1. The music is crazy loud - like club level loud and the bartender will not turn the music down even though there are no customers inside the restaurant (because the music is too mf loud) 2. The food is REALLY overpriced. $26 for an average burger? The long version: The server was ok, a little slow but it seemed she was the only one working so not really her fault. We wanted to sit inside because it was about 9:30pm about 65° out. We asked the server if it was possible to turn the music down so we could go inside to eat (there were literally no customers inside the whole restaurant) and she said the bartender doesn’t like the music turned down and there was nothing she could do. She offered to turn the heat lamps above us on. The bartender was a tall white guy and if I were the owner, I’d prob fire him for turning potential customers away because he liked his music absurdly loud for a restaurant/bar. The food was good, not great. And in no way worth the price. We had the charred chicken wings - a bit overcooked but still tasty, the beyond burger - standard beyond burger not worth $20, the cheese curds - a little greasy but good, I liked that they used what I think was mozzarella inside, the pork lumpia - meh. I’ve had a lot of lumpia in my time, and this was just all pork with seemingly no other ingredients, not great. And finally the Alulu House Burger - a good burger, but in no way worth $26! I’d pay $12 MAYBE. You can get a GREAT burger for half this price in a million other places in the city. I paid $120.69 BEFORE tip for two mains, three sides, a pop, and a bear. Robbery. If the food was about half the price and they fired the arrogant bartender, I might come back. But that’s not happening.

Are you looking for outdoor dining? I found a place for you. If you sit on the patio at one of the covered tables, you can turn on the heat lamps if it gets cool. However, seating is available on two levels for indoor dining. Try the charred chicken wings, double burger, or fish & chips. Although we went for food, we enjoyed sitting outside sipping on Hibiscus Margaritas, Booly, and Oda Elix, and I bet you look good with a drum machine. Our tab was $127. Even though we had to wave over our server a few times, my overall experience was good. I will be back. Alulu is pet friendly. Parking can be challenging on a Saturday. Be prepared to walk a block or two.

It would have been better if they had the beer I was looking for on tap. They do NOT serve flights. But the beers were tasty. The food was not bad either. Will come again.

Once arriving, I was seated in a very comfortable space and had some of their beers and a cocktail. They have a great selection and variety. I got the shishido peppers and Garlic Dill Bread with pork belly (highly recommend). The server Jose was very attentive and speedy with orders which made the experience more comfortable and welcoming. I will be coming back!

Alulu is one of my favorite breweries in Chicago and we come maybe every week?! Their small batch brews are always delicious, even though I can never pronounce their names. Their cheese curds are addictive and pizza always hits the spot! Their patio is beautiful with abundant seats, and their employees are so friendly. You’re missing out if you don’t try it!!

I have been consistently impressed with both the beer and food at Alulu. The cozy interior is perfect for cold months and the outside seating is on point in the summer. A great place to hit up on its own or before a show at Thalia Hall. Edit/addition: their tea infused beers are always a delight. I just tried the Twin Kannin tonight and it was phenomenal.

Small nice brewery. The food is good and beers are awesome. Definitely coming back. Update: keep coming back. They update the food menu and there's always some good beer to try. They have good week night specials.

Cute place! Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with giving samples and finding your favorite beer

Food was amazing, I recomend their mushroom burger (double patty with sauteed mushrooms, not a burger patty made of mushrooms). Bonus points for being understanding of the weather, despite closing our check, we were advised to stay a bit until the rain slowed a bit.

I love the burgers here!! I ordered “The Burger” and my friend had “Longganisa Burger” and both were delicious with a generous amount of fries. I’d recommend adding an egg to the burger just because it adds so much richness and juice to the texture! Will come back again to try out other dishes at Alulu.

The experience here is poor. I’ve been here twice. The first time, we were told we would have only 45 minutes because they were closing early for an event. The second time, they were hosting an event of at least 300 people next door. The restaurant patrons and those attending the event all only had access to one shared bathroom stall. It seems like management only cares about maximizing the amount of people they can make money off of, rather than ensuring a quality experience.

Really great seating area outside with a nice ambiance. Our group of 5 all got different beers and were very satisfied! Food options sounded and smelled yummy with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.

Great overall experience. Thr service was prompt and amiable. The ambiance was relaxing and familiar. I was most impressed with the burgers. Great size and one if the best tasting burgers (Alulu burger) I've had in Chicago. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Good selection of beers and wide variety. They do NOT do flights, which was disappointing so I only tried one pale ale, which was good. Nice atmosphere. The inside is a bit small but has a patio for nice weather.

Cute space and outdoor seating, friendly staff. The food was OK - fries were seasoned w a sweet spice and very airy and fried. The 3 cheese pizza was terrible. However, our server was great and very accommodating! She checked up on us regularly and let us know when last call was. I would stick to drinks at this location, though to be fair, we only had two items from the food menu. First time there and overall good experience, just not a fan of the food so far. Giving this spot 3 stars because I was v hungry but disappointed w the food :(
