When
i
saw
a
new
Arabic
restaurant
in
FoodPanda,
as
usual
i
was
a
bit
skeptical
but
curious
at
the
same
time
as
the
menu
looked
quite
intriguing.
Skepticism
because
most
"Authentic"
Arab
places
charge
way
more
without
providing
any
authenticity
in
terms
of
taste.
So
seeing
such
a
budget
friendly
menu,
decided
to
give
it
a
try
and
i
am
delighted
that
my
curiosity
won
:)
The
first
surprise
was
the
hummus
and
pita.
That's
been
one
of
my
most
ordered
dishes
in
every
Arabic
place
I
have
visited
and
to
be
honest,
this
was
no
less
than
any
of
those
places.
Creamy
hummus
topped
with
a
generous
amount
of
olive
oil,
served
with
hot
and
soft
pita
bread,
it
was
a
delight
!!!
Then
came
the
second
surprise,
the
Kabsa,
which
is
named
Arabian
Rice
in
their
menu.
I
don't
think
i
have
ever
eaten
such
flavorful
Kabsa
in
Dhaka
ever,
because
most
of
those
lacked
the
flavour
and
salt.
But
TOUM
managed
to
bring
the
flavour
out
and
best
part,
it
wasn't
overly
oily,
every
kernel
of
rice
is
separated
and
very
delicious
with
the
Chicken
Shish
Tawouk.
Hats
off
to
the
chef
for
clocking
the
flavour
and
taste.
Also
the
pickled
vegetables
they
gave
with
shawarma
platter,
chef's
kiss!!!
A
great
source
of
probiotics!!!
Out
of
all
the
meat
(
i
am
allergic
to
beef),
Chicken
Shish
Tawouk
stood
out
to
me
because
it's
more
flavourful
and
complements
the
mains
pretty
well,
be
it
the
rice
bowl
or
the
shawarma.
Chicken
shawarma
meat
lacked
a
little
bit
of
cumin
which
is
one
of
the
key
spices
in
arabic
food,
and
a
little
bit
of
char
in
the
meat
will
do
wonders
for
the
taste.
TOUM
meatboxes
might
look
small,
but
they
are
packed,
trust
me.
Equal
amount
of
meat
and
fries.
I
am
partial
to
the
Chicken
Fillet
one.
Their
Chicken
Nuggets
are
not
the
ones
u
get
in
regular
places,
these
are
thinly
cut
chicken
breast/thigh
pieces
coated
with
breadcrumbs
and
deep
fried,
like
a
mini
cutlet.
They
do
give
pita
bread
and
fries
with
it,
so
u
can
make
a
nugget
shawarma
out
of
it.
However
they
could
improve
the
taste
of
falafel
a
bit
more,
maybe
a
bit
more
salt,
cumin,
paprika
because
it
tasted
somewhat
bland
in
the
shawarma
but
actually
much
better
than
another
place
i
know
of
who
sells
the
worst
falafel
fried
in
100
days
old
oil.
Overall,
i
think
i
have
tasted
almost
everything
from
TOUM's
menu
(
minus
fried
chicken
and
beef),
and
i
could
say
this
is
the
closest
to
authentic
Middle
Eastern
food
u
could
ever
get,
and
that
too
at
such
a
price
which
won't
break
ur
wallet
if
u
wanna
be
fancy
for
a
day.
And
i
hope
they
maintain
the
same
quality
because
most
places
start
strong
and
then
go
down
very
soon
when
they
become
a
bit
popular.
Don't
want
the
same
fate
for
TOUM.
