Just checked in & today is the first day of the hotel opening. We had the superior room & was on the low floor near to the fitness center. Didn't have a chance to dine at any of the dining outlets yet but would love to try the buffet dinner which will be available from Saturday onwards. Love the room,it's pleasant & airy & comfy. There's even a balcony to sit & chill as well. The nice little touches were great, from welcome fruits platter, welcome drink voucher & even a complimentary return visit! Wow!! Will love to be back & hopefully it will be just as good! Keep up the great work team! Special shoutout to syafaiz & his team

The hotel is located about 200 meters away from the beach, and you need to cross the main road to get to the beach ⛱️. The hotel is fairly new or recently renovated. The rooms are nicely decorated, but are a bit small. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. They also offered us two complimentary drinks of our choice. The only thing that I didn't like was the late cleaning of the room. The lobby is open and very nice. The bar is in the lobby, and the swimming pool is next to the lobby. You swim in the pool and just call the bar tender to get you a drink or even can order food if you wish.

Its our best hotel throughout our stay here in langkawi! We stayed at 3 different hotels at 3 different location across the island on around the same budget. As a couple, this hotel was the absolute best which include the excellent malaysian hospitality. There were music at the lobby and pool which really adds up to the vibe of the area. The location is as strategic as it can be as its just walking distance away to the main entrance of Chenang beach and Chenang mall. We booked the lowest price unit and gotten a backdoor view of the hotel and regretted not getting the ocean view unit. Overall the hotel is great and things are looking new all around. Would recommend this for couples on a 4 star budget hotels.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at the premise. As a trained proffesional I'm of the opinion that the building was poorly designed, but fortunetly it was compensated with the groovy ID works. If you arrive using your own vehicle,you will need to go through (around) the whole premise and that will definetly lost it grandeur, before you arrive at the lobby. The complex was designed in 4 blocks surrounding the lovely swimming pool. The guest lifts are on the right side of the lobby, and our room was at Level 2 on the left side of the block. You will need to go through the banquet reception area. It was unfortunate that the door at the banquet reception area was lock on one of the night, so we went down and took the service lift on the left side of the lobby. We decided to take the service lift later on as it will be more convenient. I understand that the building is still under the process of handing over, but something must be done to the odour especially near the manhole at ground floor area. The staff was really helpfull during our stay, especially the front office. Only the toileteries were not replenish, but they were (housekeeping) fast on their action after our call. The overall ID of the rooms are nice, especially with the bunk bed room. The aircond system inside the room need improvement as the ac defuser and discharge grill are located too near to each other making only the interior part of the room colder than the rest of the room. There was also a pump located too near to the top bunk bed making unpleasent sound. Our children could not stand the sound and decided to stay with us. Hopefully after the improvement it can be better. We will definetly consider coming again to this hotel for the good service rendered and ideal location.

I absolutely loved my stay at Mercure. Rooms are so spacious with lovely toiletries. The small touches really impressed me. Breakfast was ample and the vibe was great. Best location for everything. Beach, mall street vendors, best decision to stay here. However i would just like to add that housekeeping was a bit tardy. I am not sure if it’s a Malaysian thing to clean rooms at 4 and 5pm. It was the only thing that i did not like.

Do not stay here! Holy smokes. Would rate 0 if there's possibility. Countless issues. It was our company trip and every room has issues. - Smelly toilet (in every room, probably sewerage problem) - water heater problem (inconsistent temperature) - water leaking from bathroom - aircond filter not changed, no maintenance done it seems. This hotel is only less than 2 years to date. And yet it feels like a 10 year old hoyel. Stay if you dare!

What I love most about our stay at Mercure Langkawi Pantai Cenang was that they have a Kids' Club where our son visited each day. The kiddie pool was also huge that even adults enjoyed it. I also love our Privilege Room that has a direct access to the pool. The hotel is also taking initiatives on protecting our planet by switching to in-room purified water, removing single-use bathroom amenities, and guests' choice on replacing sheets and towels every day. Rice Garden, their all-day dining restaurant, is where we had our daily buffet breakfast and we loved the wide variety of options. The perfect location made us explore the nearby Pantai Cenang, Duty Free Shops, and the Underwater World. Overall, we had a fun stay and we never had any problems at all. Will definitely stay again here in the future.

Hotel is not yet finished, so I would avoid staying there for the moment. I have stayed many nights at different Accor hotels and the Mercure Langkawi is definitely not yet at their standards. Pros: - Most staff are nice - Once finished, look of the bar/pool should be nice. Cons: - Hotel is unfinished. When we arrived a crane was still working at the entrance. There are doors, lamps, etc missing everywhere in the hotel. It gives the look of a very poorly maintained old hotel.. - Our room at a horrible smell due to the construction. Clearly not yet ready to host customers. Staying there 2 nights gave me horrible headaches - Pool water evacuation was poorly designed. I never saw so many dead insects in a pool - Our dinner at Rice restaurant was the most tasteless meal we had over 8 months in Asia. They serve you frozen food without seasoning - Wi-Fi is extremely slow - They lack a lot of employees. Reception seems to do 10 different jobs and the hotel is very dirty (dirty and dead insects everywhere) likely due to lack of cleaning employees

Amazing hotel with perfect location. It's located in the centre of Cenang beach were all the life in there. The room is super clean. The service and hospitality is great, all the staff are friendly, helpful and and of course smiling. The lobby given us the Langkawi vibes. The breakfast is great with different variates. I hope I can visit the hotel again.

Debated whether to give 3 or 4 stars, so maybe consider this review 3.5. Check-in took over 45 min, due to just one person being available and some system problem. About 10 guests waiting to check-in. Eventually someone else turned up which improved the situation a little but still the long wait continued. Two rounds of drinks were offered during this time. It was really chaotic when everyone was trying to check in due to the live music a short distance away, nobody could hear each other! The process needs redesigning to make it more calm and relaxing. Due to the dreadful experience at check-in they upgraded me to a larger pool facing room which was appreciated and the room was very nice. A free drink voucher was also given. I presume the person that came down to assist was the manager, as she did the service recovery and successfully calmed the guests down by apologising and explaining. She did well to deal with an Australian Karen who was particularly agitated. Had the manager not been there (only called when the Karen kicked off) I don’t believe there would have been any service recovery. A few issues with the room - the air con wasn’t effective and made for several uncomfortable nights with the thick duvet on the bed. It said 18°C on the control panel, but it was least 23-24°C. That would be manageable if the bedding wasn’t so thick/heavy! Quite a few of the tv channels (i.e. BBC World) didn’t work, which left only mainly local stations which would be fine for Malay speakers but not much else. Also for some reason the noise outside of the room from the corridor and the pool was amplified and it was very noisey even with all doors fully closed. I’m not a light sleeper but I was woken up early morning each day by people walking/talking in the corridor. They weren’t being loud. Good things would be the perfect location, the excellent room design (very comfortable and practical) and the shower which was one of the best. Extremely powerful! The wifi was easy to log-on to and generally reliable, though not the fastest. On the whole I would stay here again for the location and room, but there are some issues that need sorting.

Room has toilet smell when we enter. When asked for extra key (my wife went out) the staff expression as of he was annoyed. However he didn't even reconfirm my details before giving the key. But staff at pool bar yesterday was really friendly and the pool is nice.

Bedroom and facilities were great. The breakfast was mixed, great variety and fantastic egg station but some of the pastries, cakes and waffles were not great and the juice selection was only 1 type each day. Otherwise the hotel was amazing and the staff were helpful.

Room was spacious, clean with a decent view of the ocean. Location of this hotel is walking distance to the beach and there is a mall beside the hotel which makes shopping convenient. Staff very quick and responsive during our stay. Overall, had a pleasant experience and would definitely consider this place for our next stay in langkawi

We had a great stay at Mercure Langkawi. It is very centrally located, with great amenities. The rooms are great with sea views. The bar staff can be a bit more attentive and proactive, specially when guests are by the pool.

Location - perfect. there's shopping mall and beach in 3min.Room - clean and comfortable. facility such a pool / bar / gym gym amazing! Howver, 1. there was concert event at night market behind hotel, too noisy to sleep. I could not sleep indeed. 2. shampoo was run out when I use bath boom first time. I've noticed while taking shower and asked room service to refill it, but took 15min. 3. there's wine glass in room but no bottle opener so we could not open bottle of drinks.

Check-in experience was smooth and the room was ready well before 3pm. Great customer service at the front desk. Room was clean, everything felt new and there was even a welcome snack. The hotel is just behind a local mall with Starbucks and walking distance to so many restaurants and duty free shops. Overall would definitely visit Mercure Cenang again!

Perfect location with just 5 minutes walk from the beach, restaurants, cafes and night fire shows. Awesome sea view from the balcony. The problem is my room always smelt like cigarettes from the toilet vent. I paid for the dinner buffet in cash but the front desk said I didn’t pay when I checked out.

Check in was painful. After 20 minutes of waiting because there was only one person serving, I asked for the manager to do something to speed check up as 3 groups had been waiting with us. The room was nice but we checked in as 2 adults and a child and there was only 2 of everything. Breakfast was great.

We were staying with 2 young kids in room 503. Love the room location as we were facing the mountains to see the sunrise everyday! And also we are able to see the swimming pool right below us. We were not disturbed by any noise from that level. The staff at the lobby were all very efficient, friendly and helpful. Other staff have been also very smilely and kind. Housekeeping was done well. Our requests were attended immediately such as asking for laundry, extra towel, to change the hair dryer as the button was faulty. Just across the hotel there is pizza hut and subway which were my kids' favourite. There were many other food and snack options too. There is live music and buffet dinner over the weekend. My kids enjoyed dancing and listening to the band's music. Thank you for everything! We had a wonderful stay!

Comfortable stay! Clean rooms, soft beds and pillows with good quality amenities in the rooms (we love the shampoo line they use!) Rooms are well regulated with AC, which is a great escape from the afternoon heat. Breakfast was pretty good, hope there was more options available. Good location, it’s quiet yet close to the Cenang beach. (Visited Langkawi multiple times, I’ve stayed at some of the hotels directly on the beach and it’s not as quiet) Also thanks to the staff team that helped us arrange for the amenity, made our family trip complete. Also special mention to Dhazirul(Front Desk Agent) super helpful and kind.

Got myself a direct pool access room. It was spacious and clean. Service was impeccable from the reception all the way to housekeeping. Location is directly next to Cenang Mall which meant daily essentials were well within reach. Cenang beach is literally across the road so that's a plus for the beach goers. All in all an excellent experience. Will definitely return to stay.

If you love a quite place but still close to all happening spots then, you will love the location. Cenang beach is 3-4 mins walk. However, The kitchen service could've been better. I was dissatisfied with their breakfast service. They had limited options for vegetarian. And, even though, we had already informed they, didn't honor the request for early morning takeaway breakfast(they did accept the request previous day). Also, the bathroom door should have a lock, lol. It's a basic expectation. Apart from these the room was good. The cleaning services were good. The staff was courteous. All mentioned amenities were present in the room.

Strategic location, walking distance to cenang beach (you can bring the towel from pool to the beach), small shopping mal beside the hotel, easy to find foods. Underwater Langkawi is also close, several duty free shops around. Room is spacious and clean. Gym and pool are great. Gym is quite, it's good place if you prefer to exercise in silent. Welcome drink is also good, we can have draught beer (Heinek*n or Carlsbe*g).

Great room - spacious with comfy bed, great pool, great location (1 min from mall with a 7-Eleven that’s 24/7, 2 mins from beach, 15 from airport by drive). Great to have a filtered drinking water tap in the room too - unexpected! Free parking. Breakfast could have been more varied but very nice to have Nasi Lemak ingredients kept out so you can make your own!

The hotel is located at the heart of Pantai Cenang. It is just a short walk to a 24-7 convenient store, Starbucks, and the beach front where you can find water activities, fire breathing show and restaurants. The hotel itself is quite nice, the swimming pool (not adjoining beach) is shaded by buildings from sun since late afternoon (which is a good thing for me as the sun was really burning).

So glad to have chosen Mercure as our accommodation for my birthday in Langkawi! Staff are friendly and paid attention to every detail, attentive to our needs and the rooms were so comfortable that you’d never want to leave, ever. We had a welcome drink voucher upon arrival which we can redeem once within our duration of stay, the rooms were already air-conditioned as you enter and the bathroom is fully equipped with toiletries. Not to mention, I love the initiative where Mercure is striving to be a sustainable and eco-friendly hotel. The hotel is situated strategically just behind Cenang Mall where there’s an ATM and an array of duty-free shops upstairs as well. Even though it’s not a beach front hotel, the beach is just a 300 meters walk across the road. You’ll never run out of things to buy and places to eat at when you stay in Mercure. Despite us not adding on the breakfast option, we tried their brunch and dinner. There’s still room for improvement in terms of table setting (missing cutlery and serviette), the service speed (which the kind waitress personally apologised for even though we did not complain at all), the main dishes and the iced lemon tea could also be improved in terms of quality. The salmon teriyaki was a tad salty while the ice lemon tea was too diluted. The chicken burger patty felt like it was store bought and not made in-kitchen. Perhaps the kitchen staff could look into bettering their menu/recipe/food items! :) We look forward to staying at the Mercure again! Thank you for your generous hospitality. ❤️

Lovely hotel and great service. Rooms are comfortable and come with some amenities like shower gel etc as well as water upon arrival. Swimming pool and gym are nice. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but ordered a few snacks which were tasty. Only downside was juices weren’t fresh.

The room was ok but if our balcony was closer to the swimming pool, it would be very wonderful because we would love to sit outside for our drinks. By the way, we still had great time to have beers and cocktails in the lobby. 🍻🥂😊😘

Stayed on May 2022, brand new hotel everything is tiptop and perfect. Friendly staff and service. Love the comfort of the bed and linen. Shower water pressure is strong. Nice bar/pool area for relaxing. Good location just 50m behind Cenang Mall.

First of all, nice environment, ambience and very very clean room! Second bellboy, receptionists, bartender, housekeeping are very friendly and nice. Stay for 3 days and 2 night overall the experience is amazing! I hope i can get the same service in the future. All the best
