The Jardin is one of the most interesting and prettiest places to go in Paris. I've been going there since I moved here, if you're an earth science nerd that's the place for you. The paleontology and geology museums are a trip back in time and even just by walking outside in the gardens, hundreds of plants are exhibited. You can also visit the menagerie and the tropical greenhouses are a treat.

🌿 Jardin des Plantes is a botanical garden that belongs to the National Museum of Natural History. It was founded in 1635 as a royal medicinal garden and has four centuries of scientific adventures. It covers 28 hectares and has various collections of plants, trees, flowers and herbs. 👍 I liked this place, which is nice to walk around if you like parks. It has different thematic gardens, such as the alpine garden, the rose garden, the iris garden and the ecological garden. It also has several greenhouses that display tropical and desert plants. It is a peaceful and relaxing place in the heart of Paris. 👎 The only drawback is that some parts of the garden are not very well maintained and look a bit neglected. It could use some more care and attention. 🌟 I give 4 stars to this place, which is a beautiful and educational place to visit. It also has several museums and a zoo that are worth seeing. It is a great place for nature lovers and families.

An amazing park with great smooth benches under the tree shadows. In some places the gardens are AMAZING in others not so much. Again you can't walk on the grass but you appreciate the beauty of nature. There are also a couple of toilets in the park

I always make it a point to visit botanical gardens when I’m travelling and it’s this one is by no means has become my favourite. The main garden, which houses the waterfalls, and it’s enormous varieties of plants makes it hard to believe it’s all housed inside a green house. There are several rooms you can visit and observe their collection of plants, as well as walk around their outdoor gardens which are beautifully manicured and cared for.

The garden was nice to walk through. It's cold now, so most of the plants are hibernating. But the area has been decorated for their night light show. The area is extremely clean and the decorations are nice to see. Hopefully we get the opportunity to visit at night someday.

Wow, just do it! This is history and art all together. It’s late and cold for small children, but everyone else will love it. I expected 1 section of nicely made pieces. We got a really big exhibition in 3 sections full of beautifully created animals of old

Nice large green space for kids to run around. Theres a little zoo which we didn't go into. The toilettes are free but the lines were long. Easy access via metro. Dusty ground as expected.

Even if you only have a few days to visit Paris, you should definitely stop at this Jardin! It’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s filled with lots of different flowers and plants, the variety of colours is absolutely stunning. The entrance is free for everyone and there is even a little playground for kids. If you have some spear time, there are lots of museums in this park, that all together make up the Natural History Museum. Museums are free if you are under 26 and from EU.

Very beautiful botanical garden which is also free. There is a large variety of plants, flowers and trees and they're well taken care of. Inside of the garden there are also a few small galleries (for example about minerals or paleontology) which you can visit for a pretty low price.

Lovely park with lots of flora and fauna … beautiful statues of animals that are very amusing for the kids. The zoo is also located within the park as well as other attractions. Highly recommend a leisurely walk through.

A large botanical garden with nice paths and spacious to have a walk. Free entrance. Tickets will be needed for green houses visit or to animals' places. Currently there is a enormous light festival displaying diversity of plants and animals through artificial art works, personally I'm not a fan, it's not biologically reasonable to see. Apart from that, highly recommended. Some interesting exhibitions can be easily accessible. It's wheelchairs friendly place also.

(Translated by Google) I stayed in Paris for 10 days and was tired because I went around the museum, so I went for a walk to the botanical garden. It was crowded with women taking a walk with their children and children on excursions on hot summer weekdays. The flowerbeds are very beautiful and I especially like the blue flowers. There is a small zoo in one corner and there is a charge. There were also many people with small children here. The riverside around here is a place of relaxation for the citizens, and there are many corners where you can work in groups, such as ballroom dance, Latin dance, lap dance groups, small groups playing musical instruments, and people who enjoy cycling. Seemed to be fun. There are many people in the evening, so I think it's a good idea to take a drink and sit on the bench to relax.

Excellent garden and a very beautiful area. The are is very convenient for a walk and even for jogging. The gardens are very beautiful and many families take their kids for a walk. There is a restaurant and you can also have a snack and many drinks. The plants are very nice and if you would like to access the interior gardens you would need to buy tickets. We enjoyed this walk and we strongly recommend the visit.

This is a beatiful park. There is small zoo and botanical garden. Both require tickets. Most interesting part in the park was the Fragiles colosses exhibition by Michel Bassompierre.

Probably one of my favorite Jardin à Paris! It was calm and serene. Brought my two little ones there, we went for a stroll, stopped by at the playground beside a café. We will definitely be back again. ❤️

A very beautiful garden in the heart of Paris, the garden has several species of plants that are duly marked which helps you get to know the species better, it is also a great place to run and breathe fresh air, I took the opportunity to have a snack in a magnificent environment .

Fantastic and colorful art made from local people. This exhibition is bigger than it looks as it took me a little over an hour to see including the picture taking. They have animal art from Asia, Africa, South America, etc. All the art is handmade and beautiful. My favorite was the huge snake figure that is also a mini tunnel. Great area for kids as the zoo is next door to this garden.

We took our son here and he about lost his mind with excitement! There are hundreds of not thousands of specimens from all over the world. The extinct animal exhibit was his favorite and mine too. I wish I could bring home the chairs that are all one the building. They are so pretty. When we were there the gift shop was closed but we will return and hopefully it will be open again. The lights changing in the building walls was so pretty too. What a well thought out exhibit!

A beautiful experience, it’s not so much the plants that captivated me but the zoo and all the buildings inside the gardens. It’s certainly worth visiting. Nevertheless, the sights (zoo, museums) need tickets to go to.

It was a bit early to visit here. Gardeners were fussing around to get the place ready. Although some flowers were bloomed already. Garden is in a big area and has thousands of plants worth taking pictures when it's ready.

Only visited for the annual « illumination » show. Rather impressive setup and definitely a great moment for the kids - although a bit long - but I think they could benefit from restricting more the flow of people. Was way too busy.

This beautiful place is off the beaten path, and well worth a visit. It reminds me of Kew Gardens, in London, because of the combination of gardens, greenhouses, thematic landscaping, and museums, there. This is a place where families gather to stroll along tree-lined avenues, have picnics, or walk through special gardens like the Alpine one. The natural history museum is a bonus. Don’t miss out on that!

I went to visit recently for the botanical exhibit : Milles & Une Orchidées. 🌺 😞 A beautiful time that was unfortunately ruined by the rude staff rude during the wait time : the lines were badly managed, and they had many arguments in front of other visitors because they didn't want to sell tickets. Don't expect to access the exhibit as the same time you chosed on your ticket, I waited +35 minutes in line.. 👎 Very unprofessional to me, as I never experienced such behavior in other museums and exhibitions places. 🎟️ Be sure to book your tickets in advance, they refuse to sell you any if it's a busy exhibition. ☔️ Be sure to avoid visiting Jardin des Plantes when it is raining! It was terrible to walk throughout the garden as it very long to walk from one point to another, the sand paths gather a lot of dirt and puddles.. 🗺️ The place is not that clearly mapped on site, which is annoying if it is your first time visiting. They don't have a map at the entry, we had to ask security members to kindly gives us directions. 🛅 Don't bring large belongings as there is barely enough storage to keep your stuff. The lock I had was half-broken, I was not resting easy during my visit, as I was asked to leave my belongings behind. ✨ The positive note however is the exhibition itself was beautiful crafted. I enjoyed it and it was worth the price !

It's an amazing place to see flowers from all over the world. Check your phone before going so you can take lots of pictures! I hardly recommend to visit it between May (to see the spring blossoms) and September. Take your time to walk around and enjoy the beauty of nature. There's a little hill and on top you can have a beautiful view of the garden. At the same place , you'll find The natural history museum on one side of the park. The entrance costs around 10 to 12 euros. Also, you have a little zoo (you have to pay. I've never been and could be nice to see) There are kiosks to buy coffee, water, ice cream and others.

A very precious place in Paris. A bit of Kew gardens (the green houses), a bit of the Physics garden, a bit of Regent park (the little zoo), a bit of the museum of natural history museum, and a nice park experience.

A pleasant garden, with informative boards explaining the science and uses of the plants - although only in French. When I was there in May 2019, they had a series of tents with information on biodiversity and ecology, with a strong child focus.

Greeny Gardens with various structures attracts no only the kids but also the adults. Getting here on early morning is an advantage to avoid crowd. Also it seems like some classes e.g yoga taking place. Also there's a small hill/tip not the best to whole Paris but to see nearby buildings. Summer spring are perfect time

Access is free for the gardens and paying for the galleries, the menagerie where the greenhouses, the exhibitions are of good quality and of a level accessible to all. The garden was created in 1635 and since that time has trained a lot of researchers in what concerns living things as well as mineralogy. Laboratories are sometimes open for Heritage Days or Science Day. You can access the garden from the Gare d'Austerlitz or the Jussieu metro.

The beds of plants and flowers, often exotic, particularly beautiful and aesthetic; the gardeners of the Jardin des Plantes are surely among the most talented in Paris. Finally, the extremely clear, well-made and therefore very informative didactic spaces. You can return there often and contemplate the evolution of nature throughout the year in the heart of Paris. This delightful botanical garden, tucked between the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle and the Seine, is one of the best garden you will find in Paris. The Paris botanical garden contains more than 10,000 species and includes tropical greenhouses and rose, winter and Alpine gardens - is an enchanting place. I fully recommend a visit to this beautiful place.

A victim of its own success; long lines, visited during the winter. Main atrium area is at "stand still" with people grouping in front pathways, which causes back log problems. Once you're over the business the plants are great to look at, tall and interesting.

Lovely garden with a lot of spaces to sit down and enjoy the sun. Inside the garden is the Menagerie - where one can see red pandas, flamingos and many other species. Definitely recommend a visit, for kids and grown ups as well.

I went only on a short walk there and didn't go to any of the museums situated inside, although I am sure they worth seeing, but the garden itself is a great place for walk, relax or just enjoy the beauty of the nature.

Love the Zoo. Only place in the world with north Chinese Leopard. It didn't look very happy, but some of the other animals were happy. The yellow throated Marten was my favourite. The orangutans also looked nice. They don't have much space, but they have done a lot with the space that is there. The cages are the original, romantic cages. Looks good, but small for the animals.

Amazing. Lovely and big park. The air is so fresh and the walk ways are wide. Very clean and perfect for kids to run and play. The number of attraction and museum is amazing. The only problem is that the museum as well as the "manege" close at 6pm which is very early since the sunset is at 10 pm
