Wow, this fountain was very beautiful. No matter how much I took pictures of it, I couldn't get enough of it. If you go to Luxembourg Park, you must see it and take a picture with it.

Beautiful Italian style statues with a fountain which resembles a mirror. There are chairs to sit around it. It is worth visiting and enjoying it. If you visit the Luxembourg gardens, don't forget to visit the Medicis fountain.

Medici fountain is a nice spot in the Gardens of Luxembourg. If you are going to the Pantheon, this is just a block away. Nice for a quick look. The surrounding park has beautiful flowers in the spring and relaxing chairs to sit and enjoy the park in the middle of the busy Paris.

Such a gorgeous fountain! The setting all around is so beautiful even in winter. Get up close to the fountain to really admire it and check out the backside even if it isn’t quite as impressive… still worth seeing the entire fountain! 🧡

Just a walk away from the pantheon and notre dam cathedral is the Medici fountain and man it is something to experience and enjoy when visiting the gardens in Paris. Although it can get busy, this is a must see and do activity and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the fountain.

The Medici Fountain is a very historical fountain that was designed like a grotto reminiscent of one in the Boboli Gardens in Italy where Marie de Medici grew up, and she had this commissioned for the Jardin du Luxembourg when her palace was constructed, meaning it dates from the 1600s, even though it has been altered since with a different stretch of water with it and other statues. Beginnings of the Fountain Medici It all starts with Marie de Medici who was the widow of King Henri IV and regent for King Louis XIII, who at the time was not happy living at The Louvre and wanted her own palace in Paris constructed in an Italian style that would remind her of where she grew up within the Palazzo Pitti in Florence Italy.

(Translated by Google) The Medici Fountain is a historic place, built at the request of Marie de Medici, is of great beauty and is a very romantic place in the Luxembourg Gardens, however currently under restoration. We would have to wait until 2021-according to the Senate website. I advise you to visit as soon as the work is finished. For information, the Luxembourg Gardens and all of Paris require the wearing of a mask. A lovely place to relax even on a busy day. There are chairs all around the fountain where you can take a load off. We sat there for about 45 min to rest our feet on a heavy walking day during our Paris vacay.

In the heart of the Luxembourg Gardens , the Medici Fountain is one of the most beautiful fountains in Paris, and one of the most romantic places in the capital . A monument which, however, was not destined to become the current fountain. It was built in about 1630 by Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV of France and regent of King Louis XIII of France. It was moved to its present location and extensively rebuilt in 1864-66. A simple and romantic place around which it is pleasant to stroll, relax, read, or just dream… Just not miss it during your walk in Luxembourg gardens and around!

A very soothing fountain, where people come for a pitstop during their runs, or even for photoshoots. It is quite serene. It was built in the 16th century as one of the first items added to this boasting garden. The Medicis has influence not only in Italy, but also in France. Catherine de Medici was queen of France after her marriage with king Henry II.

A serene place at the edge of Jardin du Luxembourg with lovely sculpture and a long reflective pool. The fountain is lovely to photograph near sunset. Take a moment also to look at the bas-relief & information on the rear of the fountain wall. Well worth a visit.

A wonderful spot to take a break, have a picnic and soak in the sun for a moment. The park is free and allows you to bring in food and wine. Something to note is the park does close. I think the hours are very close to the Luxembourg palace. Also, there is a little Cafe near the fountain.

(Translated by Google) Luxembourg Palace is very good, but still majestic. The gardens are gorgeous and well designed so we can take a quiet walk there, sit back, read a book, and take a nap in the shade. It is a paradise for walkers as well as for families. The gardens offer beautiful views of the Montparnasse Tower, the Eiffel Tower, and of course the Pantheon. Parisian magic works over and over again.
