Overall this hostel is a great place to stay when in Bangkok. Located near National Stadium station. We had a little bit of a problem during check in but it was resolved and we were upgraded to nicer room with own bathroom with minimal cost. The reception area is cozy just like any other Lub D location. it has a cool vibe with accents beautifully placed in each corner of the area. Once we entered our room, the big double bed welcomes us with an ample space for our 2 luggage. The bathroom is clean and spacious. it has hot and cold shower. Air conditioner is working perfectly, we have a sound restful sleep after a day of exploring Bangkok. We got a room with a complimentary breakfast that were prepared by their friendly and helpful english speaking staff. The food choices is limited but it is enough for you to kick start your day in Bangkok. I will definitely book this hostel again and try their dorm type room and mingle more with other guests. By the way i travelled with my 75yo mom.

Hostel is quite okay. The shared bathrooms are nice. Very spacious. The bedrooms unfortunately have very high humidity. The outdoor area is very nicely designed. The service of the reception is excellent. They are always there for their guests. The restaurant with breakfast is fine. The service is friendly and attentive.

I spent three nights at lub d bangkok and my experience was very good. The hostel has very comfortable rooms and offers a delicious breakfast. The location is very good and central, close to shopping malls and art galleries. I recommend this option if you want to stay in a comfortable and central place.

Rooms feel like Russian prison cells. Staff was not very helpful or welcoming. Bar staff were mostly drinking with their friends and the general feel was not social or positive. Also very noisy since you basically only have a thin door between you and the six lane road outside. (It is also under the railway so it creates an echo chamber.)

“My 3rd stay & still loving it” Lub D never fail... Location is great, rooms are clean, facilities are equipped and staffs are still as friendly and nice. It always makes me feel lazy to find other potential accommodation every time I plan my Bangkok trip. It's definitely going to be Lub D again. Will want to shout out to a lady staff that works on 14 Nov who are kind enough to help me book grab to the airport using her phone. Such effort. She initiated the offer to get a grab car instead when I only ask her to help me get a taxi as its more reliable. Feel so touched. Thanks Lub D!

The front desk named Grace is exceptional. At the time when we arrive , we left the small bag containing passport and wallet in the grab car that bring us to this hotel, but Grace were quick to assist us and find ways to have it returned by the driver. After 2hrs the bag is returned. Thanks a lot Grace. The hotel is conveniently located next to train station so you can pretty much go anywhere from here. The space is clean , room has enough space, toilet and shower is outside (shares) but we don’t mind as long as it is clean , Amenities is complete. The other staff were very friendly too, Price of the room is 1100Bhat,for us it is fair. There are small food stores and cafe nearby and also 711 is walking distance. Highly recommended place in Siam.

The rooms are loud since the doors don't cancel out any noise (you hear people from other rooms, noise from the hallway and the traffic is insanely loud), there's nowhere where you can work unless you pay extra for a coworking space, they don't provide water for the rooms, there's no kitchen area nor a proper dining area and they don't even have cutlery. Important thing: they do not have an elevator and they do not help you to carry your luggage even if you stay on the top floor. The private room was very small and the layout was inconvenient. I've stayed at much better hostels, just in Bangkok alone. I do not recommend this one. The location is the only thing they've got right.

Super clean, amazing location right next to the BTS and yummy breakfast. All the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Perfect for a couple or family as it’s quiet. Also nice if you need to work as there are designated work spaces - not the best if you looking for a very social and party environment. Would definitely stay there again!

The hotel is small but conveniently located and service is excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Price is also very affordable. There are many eateries around and the BTS is maybe just a ten minute walk away, there are also many bus stops in the area. There is parking downstairs for 100 Baht a day which can be booked at the hotel counter.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞: 🚊 Just in front of National Stadium Station of BTS (Bangkok Train Station). 🛍 Few minutes walk to MBK (shopping center). 📍 Near to other malls like: Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon, Central World, Platinum, & Big C Supercenter. 🧻 Towels & basic toiletries provided. 🤑 VERY GOOD PRICE! 🚽🚿 We stayed at private deluxe (with own bath & toilet)

So overpriced. Almost 600bt. The bedrooms feel and look like prison cells. Staff always tries to hide the best deals from you, like a street haggler. Locker holes are tiny so most locks won't work, to try to make you buy theirs. No AC in the lobby. You can just walk up and take luggage if you act like it is yours. Very overrated. If you want a place close to mbk and siam, there are plenty of better hostels for cheaper.

The staff was super nice. We stayed in a private double room, which was clean but a bit weirdly organized (storage area across the bed). The shared washrooms were pretty clean for the women but not great for the men. The coffee and bar service at the lobby is super convenient. The hostel was overall quiet (we were there early October, so off season). The location is great to explore Bangkok and enjoy the craziness of Siam Square !

Average hostel. But great location. Room smelled a little bit damp all the time. But the staff are friendly and they have activities to encourage people to meet each other

The people are nice and the location is great, but the rooms are just terrible. No curtains to provide any privacy, it’s super loud, the mattress is really uncomfortable. But the entire building is clean which is nice. PS: my rating is probably a little influenced by the fact that I couldn’t sleep at all after my first night because I was paired with, at first 1 record breaking snoring person, and later on a second person that was up to the challenge of who can be the loudest while sleeping.

We had an amazing stay. We slept well in their private room. It is also very near to some of the touristy spots such as Ban That Thong, Jim Thompson Museum, Malls and the BTS train. We will definitely come back here for a budget friendly yet comfortable stay. ❤️❤️❤️

Stayed in a private room with ensuite which was perfect. Good clean hostel with very easy access to the national stadium MRT. Staff were very friendly and helpful to arrange taxi to the airport. Not an overly social hostel though so solo travellers may find it hard to make friends. Great location for shopping Muay Thai gear as all the shops are walking distance.

Good service and facilities. I used the common area like Theater room and co-working space for works. Both are tidy and atmospheric! Also staffs are nice and friendly!

The location is the only reason why I chose this place as it is close to National Stadium BTS and 10 mins walk from Siam BTS. The rooms were terrible compared to Lub D Phuket. No mirror in the room. Also the AC was not cooling the room at all even when kept at 16C. On the second day the AC started leaking water as well. You will always hear some sports bike revving through the night. This makes sleeping difficult 😅. After staying in Lub D Phuket I had high expectations from this hostel. Sadly it wasn't a great stay for me. Will prefer a hostel in Khao San area next time. The overall hostel was quite clean though the rooms need a lot of improvements.

Awesome place, staff, location. Everything was just perfect. Great bar with reasonable prices and even with happy hour! There is also scooter taxi station in the end of a terrace, it's a huge plus 🙂 When I happen to be in Bangkok again, this is my choice. Best regards, Joni

My overall experience at Lubd BKK was amazing! It was my first time to travel solo and i would recommend staying here. I stayed in a private double room with a shared bathroom which was located at the top floor. Rooms and bathroom were very clean and well maintained however, since my room was located closest to the street, it would be quite noisy in the late afternoon. There was no elevator but the staff at the check-in desk was very helpful with some of my luggage. Everyone was just so friendly and accommodating especially the bartender on-duty, Day, when we were there. I was not able to participate in the activities available but I still was able to meet people and make friends! It's location is perfect as it is directly in front of a BTS station and a short walk to the malls such as MBK and Siam Square. The Bangkok Culture and Arts center and Jim Thompson museums are very near by as well. There are many food choices nearby too if you are not keen on buying from the hostel itself such as Mcdonalds, 7/11, the food court at the mall, and some street food stalls.

The Hostel is located very nice, it's directly in front of a big loud street. Inside is loud music all the time. You are not allowed to bring and eat your own food in the hostel what is very weird. But they want to sell there own stuff. The people working there are very nice tho and help you with all your questions.

This is place is full of life. But for bachelors. Married couples may not enjoy this place, as you will have to be on a sharing rest rooms and double bed rooms are not that spacious. Best buy for back packers or travellers low on budget. Giving 5 stars for hygiene in rooms and washrooms. Hotel is clean and centrally located.

I stayed for 8 nights, and I really really recommend this hostel! I’m huge on bathrooms being clean where I stay, and they have the cleanest bathrooms ever… honestly probably cleaner then mine at home. They have plenty of showers and toilets so you won’t have to worry about waiting on people, and there is a good mirror and counter space. The rooms are clean as well and in my experience not dirty either. They are along a main road, so there is traffic noise at night, but it wasn’t anything that kept me awake. It’s in a great location, right next to the main shopping malls and food courts. There are two 7/11’s next to it. One is in the hotel next door and the other is a few shops down. 10/10 recommend

If you travel with a big group more than 4, this place is perfect, 4 of us have our own dorm room so very private and the location is so central to get around big malls. The place is spacious and the shared bathroom area is very clean. Would love to be back again soon

A good hostel in Bangkok. The location very good as it just opposite of the BTS station. Room not as good as the one in photos but it decent enough if you just need a place to stay. The hostel not as happening but maybe because we went during off-peak travel season. If you not sure what to do or how to go to someplace in Bangkok, feel free to reach out to the staff.

Good location the hotel close to BTS. Co working space provided all AVs for your meeting. There is a Japanese Restaurant inside the hotel. After finished you can enjoy at the ToKio Jo bar.

Lub D Bangkok feels like a home away from home! We are traveling for 4 years now around Asia and Oceania and it is one of the best accomodations we stayed at. It’s not just a hostel/hotel! They are restaurant, bar, coffee place, coworking space (free for guests “workation”), tv room, live music…and free (and delicious) popcorn EVERYDAY! They are right in front the National Stadium BTS station so you can go wherever you want for a cheap price. The area around the hotel have a lot of restaurants (even famous streetfood), bars and shops… Cheers also to the staff that was so available, took care about everything for us and made our days at Lub D amazing. We hope that we can stay with you again soon!

The construction itself is pretty much what I’d expect from a hostel of this price, even a bit better, but it was not as social as I had hoped.

Rodken, a newly opened cafe in front of the hostel. They serve good coffee and tea. Iced hojicha latte is my favorite. Staffs are friendly and they speak English!

This place is awesome! Probably the best place to hangout in Samui. The best thing about the place is the staff. I haven't seen a friendlier, happier bunch of people. You would definitely love the beer pong comp! I have won a few beer towers myself 💪 😂

Lub d hostel is awesome, rooms are little small but very clean. Hostel is not very noisy and it's in the middle of the city. Food is authentic and tasty.

Good price with hotel in center city, staff is nice, the room and bathroom clean. Easy to go anywhere with BTS, Tuktuk front of hotel.

The location of this hostel is just brilliant. Access to the mrt and buses can't get better. The manager, Hoodi is a gem and helped out with all our requests.

Really good location, cool space, super clean with friendly staff. When I stayed in October it was very quiet, there were only a couple of other guests so not great for social events. But the bar and lobby area is really cool with a nice design and 24 hour reception to get in and out. The only problem was the air con made my room very humid and wet on every setting. I think this accomodation is a bit over priced in comparison to other hostels and hotels in the area. I think this place would be better in high season

Ahhh Lub B is one of the best place to stay in Thailand. The location is close to everything, the BTS, 7/eleven. Is easy for you walk around. The hotel has this amazing atmosphere, the staff are lovely and friendly, the rooms is the most cute and comfy! Always with some event for you have a good time and meet new people. I really recommend to stay here!

Staff member Fern was amazing. So helpful, she went above and beyond to get our bus out of Bangkok sorted out. Friendly staff, good connections to the city via skytrain. Rooms were good, attached restaurant was good.

This hotel had a clean bathroom and a big locker in the customer room. Everywhere in this hotel was so clean. I drank a pint of beer in front of the entrance with listening to Thai songs a singer singing. Good location. Lub D was by National Stadium and a convenience store. It was a comfortable experience that staying hotel was by a station. I can buy some snacks and meals with good value at the store at any time by a little walking from the hotel. It was also easy to visit Siam by walking. The hotel worker was pretty kind and friendly. They guided me around the hotel. Also, they told me good place to visit from the hotel. The price was reasonable. I will stay at Lub D again at 100%.

It's fill with an abundance of joy at this place. Folks are motivated with enthusiasm to get to destination; It feels like a competition amongst the population, motorcycle taxi, cars, and trolley boats racing to party. Even thou, it easy going and intimate pad.I really enjoyed this cozy, but yet, modern feels to this place. I would recommend to anyone or would visit again myself.

  • 5/5 Daniel T. 1 year ago on Google
I've tried a few hostels in Bangkok, but preferred Lub D the most. Right off the National Stadium station exit, and across the street from MBK. Rooms are simple, and I love the vibe of the common area.

It's a Lodge. Rooms are good, clean and with locker that can fit big trolly bags. (Bring your own lock). It's located very near to National Stadium BTS Station) or Siam BTS Station. Very close to all nearby attractions and malls.
